  1. Perhaps, I have no idea. I ran mine on the same dyno but before Cihan bought it so it could have been set up wrong. Only way to tell is to ramp yours up I guess.
  2. Which side, is the lens ok? My passenger side one is starting to crack and I wouldn't mind painting them too. I will take it. I also shagged a wheel bearing on the dyno last night, perhaps it finally failed with all the load and pull down straps? I hear you may have a spare still mate?
  3. Thanks, I got a call Saturday to drop everything and drive over, or I was going to have to wait a week.
  4. Apparently the dyno wasnt run in correction mode back when I tuned the old highflow, it was running around 10% correction last night so it was a 30kw gain on the last turbo which is why Ironpaw was having issues getting the same power. It is definitely an improvement but I cant use it due to the noise.
  5. The RE5 locks when cruising on light load but only in drive. If you flick it into manual it locks every gear. I have disconnected it for the street as the lockup clutch cant handle the torque/converter flare, but on the dyno I have 12v switched straight to the by-passed solenoid making the box behave like a manual. I may have to put a manual clutch or transbrake into it one day soon.
  6. Thanks Scott. Its great knowing its all my own work too. I just wish there was an awd manual option for me, the torque converter isn't happy at all, the lockup clutch was slipping badly hence the wavy power curve.
  7. I don't think the 3.5 is needed anymore, the 2.5 is plenty for me for now. I put stock V35 8 inch rims on for the stealth look, with crappy Blue Streak tyres. The sidewalls flex like jelly compared to the KU36's.
  8. Thanks Alex, you will be there soon. You can clearly see the throttle closing at the top above 6500, not sure why. Redline is 7600 but the ecu is too damn smart. F-con will be the next mod I think.
  9. Great result tonight with the tune, these things throw out some torque let me tell you. Cihan was stressing about the rods when he saw it was putting out more torque than the 470wkw Supra he just tuned. Ran the GTX up to 25psi, falling to 21 by redline. The boost snaps on even with the 1.06 housing. We had to stop there as I blew a cooler hose clamp and the 1000's were at 85% duty. There was still plenty left in the turbo... The car drives amazing even though the power wasnt much better than before. (Perhaps the manifolds are holding me back?)
  10. Im pretty pleased with the tune tonight at Edge Motorworks, power wise a little less than I was aiming with the stock exhaust manifolds holding me back I would say but i'm amazed at the torque the little VQ25det's making. (more than the 470kw T88 supra they had just done apparently) We ran the GTX3071 up to 25psi falling to 21 by redline, it still felt like it had plenty left in it but a few issues came up. (cooler joiner blew off and we also hit 85 percent duty on the 1000's.) The graph doesn't relate at all to what an RB would do with this turbo seeing mine is a V6, AWD auto but it definitely shows promise. The transient response when over 4000 revs is extremely fast, it spools in half the time the old bush core highflow did. The 1.06 rear really helps with the off boost power too, it may seem obvious to some but I wasn't expecting to gain anything down there. Also a great result considering I run the Emanage Ultimate imo. The car drive amazingly well now for a 2tonne barge.
  11. Beautiful rims Kristian, and they look brand new. If only they weren't staggered.
  12. By shortening the adjuster you are limiting travel, possibly causing the flap not to open enough and causing boost to spike. It doesn't add that much spring pressure either. There should be around 3mm of preload usually.
  13. This Sunday. (If I can talk the tuner into it as im only running an Emanage Ultimate. lol.)
  14. 34 GTR front Brembos are definitely 324mm, I will have matching sized disks as the Z33 rear Brembos are 324mm also. (Same as the later BNR34 rears.) I got the Brembo disks machined yesterday, he had issues cutting them they were so hardened. Grade 8 he said. They required a carbide cutter to face, not bad.
  15. You are forgetting about the extra torque. $2k for 65kw safely is pretty good isnt it?
  16. Im not sure about the Gtt, but the GTR Brembos are definitely 14mm bolt like our m35. Either way, I can make you the spacers if you need them for 12mm bolts.
  17. I can, if you need it done that quick...
  18. More preload will only decrease travel causing boost spiking. It wont help much with the puck blowing open as the spring is too soft.
  19. I do have a cradle floating around, my Tomei 33 gtr pump came with one. I can try and find it in the mess if you like...
  20. Mine held 17psi, nice and flat. Boost level depends on the size of the puck obviously so the external spring makes changes very easy to fine tune the peak. Crude? I think its a better option than cutting the sealed actuator open as you introduce the chance of leaking which would raise boost. If the spring fails the boost returns to stock levels. If anyone tries this, make sure the spring pulls straight into the actuator or it will put sideways load on the shaft affecting its operation. And make sure you get a tune afterward obviously.
  21. Yep, not from down here though. If I could get another gtr here I could make a jig off it, or possibly make one off the existing rubber pipe.
  22. I have modded quite a few to hold higher boost, I added a spring to the side to allow easy adjustment/spring replacement. No need to cut the actuator up imo but the M35 design lends itself well to this mod.
