  1. No idea Nick, I have only been once and it cost $80, including a mate. (pit crew) I believe I would have got 6 runs in on the Saturday if my mate didn't sook about it being too cold. You can see by the YouTube vids the camera was shaking. Limp. Duncan, I would drive up for sure but I would need a boot full of e85 jerry cans, no room for sleeping. lol.
  2. Did he pressure test the cooling system? I think $250 a head or $450 the pair sounds reasonable, plus shipping. Let me know as I have to remove them from the engine.
  3. Are you sure its a cracked head? These cars are a bitch to bleed when it comes to the cooling system as the V6 config block holds a lot of air in pockets. I had to bleed mine 5 or 6 times to stop air lock problems to the stage I thought the water pump was stuffed. If it really is the head I have a spare here I may not need...
  4. You ceartainly do mate, they live right behind that blockage, temp and pressure.
  5. Yup, but ethanol wont ping like petrol, it just runs hot so its not too bad for a quick squirt but you wouldnt want to run it that lean for very long.
  6. It could definitely need more fuel now its spinning easier. I cant believe you ran nearly 300kw with a blocked oil pump and did no damage...
  7. 18 to 19 psi doesnt seem to do short term damage, that little turbo ran hard for 3 months without issue. Im worried about the sludge but the other engine I had here was fine, I would say yours was just never serviced in Japan mate.
  8. Got the driveshaft back in and fitted the lower pipe.
  9. I had to remove the turbo today, fitting the temp sensor in the adapter pipe, (to give me an accurate measure of exhaust temps.) plumbed up the oil and water lines, fitted the beanie and then made the 2.5 inch hot side cooler pipe. I was glad to see the last of the old one, it was very restrictive. Not a bad days work...
  10. Have you cleaned the idle valve?
  11. Oh ok, mine was full to the brim and running down the cam cover dripping onto the turbo. It was also leaking out of the gasket as it was brittle. If its only a small leak dont worry too much, my car ran fine like that for months. Perhaps you can clean the tube well and squeeze some gasket sealant between the rubber and the metal tube? Don't force it, I put a screwdriver straight through the rubber, and don't get any inside the engine if you can help it.
  12. I always get an erection when I work on my car too. LOL. KH22 LFR6AP LFR6AIX-11 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/307303-m35-spark-plugs/page__p__5576769__hl__m35+plugs__fromsearch__1#entry5576769 The leak is the seal around the rear plug tube. The seal cant be replaced (New rocker cover is $220us) and would have been the cause of your oil dripping onto the turbo. Syringe the oil out and change the plugs, it will take years to fill the hole again.
  13. I have a pair of bnr34 Brembo rears here with pads and disks... I snapped up the set as the fronts are exactly the same as z33 Brembos, and I already had the z33 rears.
  14. 2.5 inch, I would say so. PM me for my details if you like Jeff.
  15. The welding looks great, and very nice response from the turbo. Perhaps I will bump into you at Springvale or Blackburn road, I have never seen anyone else filling up but there must be quite a few of us now.
  16. Can you get your hand in there? I have a die grinder you can use, it will make it louder though, it acts as a resonator.
  17. Its a pain in the arse to get up under there. Did you snap the stud off in the end?
  18. How would anyone measure it anyway, you would need to rip the engine out and dyno it. The m35 runs around 130-140 awkw stock, so the figure is about right I would say once losses are accounted for.
  19. Thanks guys, I would be out there working in the shed already if I didn't get plastered last night. JD's ftw.
  20. What do you expect for a 6L 2 stroke.
  21. LOL. She has to get some from somewhere if Craig aint up to the task...
  22. Haha, I have Craigs old shagged box coming down one day... Hopefully I wont need it any time soon. Kewish did a brilliant job on the clutches so unless Nissan skimped on the planetary gearset (like Ford did) it should be fine. I cant wait.
