  1. Isn't that how most aftermarket mufflers work? You need a large muffler body, the bigger the chamber, the more low end noise it takes out. Hot dog or resonators are practically useless.
  2. Theres a bit of room, should be enough. Not in mine, I bolted the cooler under the intrusion bar.
  3. I cant control boost with my foot, what does that make me? Verms, I think you need new actuators, not a boost controller. The spring is just too weak.
  4. Perhaps the gauge is reading a little high, are you worried?
  5. Where is the muffler? No wonder it's loud. Lol.
  6. I agree. If you sort out the VQ to R34 Getrag adapter let me know, I need one made too.
  7. There were some issues with some of the earlier units regarding the igniter signal I seem to remember, it could be related to that, otherwise I have had issues sometimes when I dont write the data to the emanage after changes on the fly, and occasionally where it wont start after a tune for some reason, it always comes good though. See how it goes after a few starts. Hopefully its fine now.
  8. Its only a short drive here. Once the turbo and seal are done it should be a reliable car, no reason to sell it just because you are being stuffed around on the turbo.
  9. Downgrading? Pft.
  10. Surely theres someone around with the disk nearby, where are you located? Fresh install, update from greddy and then update the unit.
  11. Have you downloaded the update? V2.2. http://www.greddy.com/tech-support/e-manage It would need the current version loaded. Make sure you have a copy of the map saved.
  12. I thought you drop the engine?
  13. Plus I have plans for the 3.5L that will need big flow. Do it once and do it right. Pity the Proflow fittings let me down or the GTX would be in already.
  14. I was looking to run one of these but they were twice the price and they also draw twice the current. I came to the conclusion they are great if you cant fit twin Walbro's in, as the twins will flow more at a similar current. Of course not too many people will need a 1000hp ethanol system anyway. Tom, that plastic box looks very similar to what the m35 has. It may not allow enough fuel to enter the container if you run the larger aeromotive pump as I have found with the twins. Its only a problem at under 1/4 tank.
  15. Have you tried Birds on here? The price was reasonable if you had a s/h box to swap over as I remember. Status Gearbox and Diff Engineering 97253611
  16. I don't think it will work well mounted on a bend, mine on the intake didn't, it was very erratic no matter which way I adjusted it.
  17. Arthur, is your exhaust 3.5 inch? I would like to keep it at least that size for you. Bell mouth it into 4 inch at the bend. Looks like I will have to hand cut the flange too.
  18. Try another port? The brass restrictor is to help control boost pressure to the actuator. What brand of gauge? My first cheap one was reading 3psi low.
  19. It may be crimping where it goes through the firewall, that hose isn't reinforced, and when it heats up it will just collapse like an old garden hose. Like the guys have said, you want some good reinforced rubber hose, or a solid nylon airline type hose.
  20. Great result Daniel, what did the Seimens sensor end up costing? Around $400 delivered? I wonder how other ecu's will deal with the sensor as an input, it always seems simple on paper doesn't it. Keep up the ground breaking developments.
  21. He's probably trying to sell his car again.
  22. They are only rated to 100 degrees, not very confidence inspiring...
  23. I thought it was just the Tial housing but yeh, the water lines will need some heat shield as they are only mm away from the rear housing.
