  1. Im sure that's your LSD, the hicas is supposed to correct the tendency to slide out, the rear wheels turn the same direction the front wheels do.
  2. And put it where? Im not ditching the airbox just yet, most of the US single turbo gear has very poor manifold design unfortunately and I cant run twins due to the front shaft and steering. The manifolds should flow well enough as HKS managed to steal them for their kit, I guess I will see soon.
  3. You have an informeter don't you Daleo? I just want to know if they can fix... Actually dont bother. lol.
  4. I certainly wasn't bagging them out, it just doesn't seem to flow too well with the .5 front. Hopefully the Garrett engineers have sorted some of the current issues with the new range. I agree that checking the filter is an often overlooked maintenance task but it would be a lot easier to block the 1mm restrictor without it. Here is the space constraint I am dealing with.
  5. You might want to check out the XR6 failure rates. They are not a great turbo imo especially with the .5 comp cover which is the only one I could fit in the space I have. There is no way I can fit a twin scroll flange let alone the twin gates no matter how small I made them. The 3082 isnt great either from the research I have done. I would have thought the .82 GT35 rear housing would be comparable to the 1.06 GT30 in flow but its a moot point as that is the housing I have already and I literally cant buy the .82. When its back in stock I will get one sent out, hopefully they are a direct swap.
  6. So you have you driven a car with a GTX3071 and Tial 1.06? I didn't have a choice as Tial are out of stock of the .82 and .63 worldwide and the other flange types just wont fit where I have mounted it. Like I have said, this housing will be perfect for the 3.5L I am building. I am hoping it frees up the top end and gives me a more gradual boost curve, I didn't like the way my highflow snapped on at 3k anyway. GT35's aren't my favourite turbo, I have heard of too many failing, even at low (less than 20psi) boost, perhaps because they are so common?
  7. If it is 2007 it would have to be OBD2 compliant, the Japanese OBD2 emissions laws came in 2004 so I assume ours did then too. The US laws came in 2000-2001 I think. Check for the plug under the steering wheel.
  8. The 6000 is a group 5. What is the retail price on the 20L and 205L Gulf 1? Is it suitable to use with ethanol/e85 also?
  9. Correct, but that would only affect throttle max opening, but why then did unplugging the throttle reset the low end stalling percentage? One of M35 life's mystery's.
  10. Funny enough, since unplugging the throttle body, I have more throttle opening at stall, from 26% to 36%. I don't get it... I tightened the return line fitting as it was leaking a bit after the drive. I will have to monitor it tomorrow as the engine bay stinks of e85. Time for a smoke.
  11. THE BEAST LIVES. Mahahahah... Now for the road test...
  12. We have those down here, they are commission homes.
  13. Villa Iain? You live in Tuscany?
  14. The GTX doesnt come with a rear housing though. What my box will handle is anybodys guess.
  15. Agreed, you can all get fudged. lol. The issue wasnt the fuel pump but the lines being too small so you will need to upgrade the lines for anything over 300awkw on e85. Petrol, perhaps 350?
  16. Perhaps, but the exducer tips are on a nice 40 degree angle which I haven't seen before, and the front housing has huge flow. I was very interested to see the potential of the compressor and running the tial 1.06 rear shouldn't choke it at all. Im not sure I can reach the the full output potential with my gearbox anyway but im guessing an easy 350 on e85, perhaps close to 400 at stupid boost.
  17. 2 days work and no power gains. Should be good for nearly 10L per minute.
  18. I used the tails that came with the pumps, the audio cable was what I had laying around big enough to supply the 30 amps they will require without dropping voltage.
  19. Agreed, it shouldn't be dropping up high either with the .82 rear. Perhaps the 1.06 was a good idea after all. I wonder what boost? I should have mine in soon, just completed the fuel system. Twin Walbro 342's, separate 6an lines to each rail.
  20. I have nearly finished the fuel system in preparation for the GTX3071 install. Twin 6an lines, one from each 255 walbro, one line to each rail and one 6an return from the reg. The one way valves will stop the fuel running back up the other rail if one of the pumps fail. The goal was to finally fit an ethanol tolerant fuel system and also improve the flow to the 1000cc injectors. Hopefully I wont need to upgrade the fuel side again, even if I get around to building the 3.5L. Thanks Aaron for the help.
  21. Yes, but im not religious on change interval, before each dyno hammering for sure. For the price S6000 cant be beaten but it is discontinued. I have 10 bottles in my stockpile though so I wont need any more for a while. Do you have any stock left?
  22. Looks the goods Leon.
  23. I found this too, but it will still put the ECU in limp mode. http://www.tfelectronics.com.au/PageFiles/throttlecontrol.html
