  1. Trust you Birds. lol.
  2. A few tacks around the end is more than enough to stop the clamp coming off. Perhaps once you get a lathe you could make a basic bead roller as I plan to. (when I get time) Your welds look good but the lobster bends are different angles which makes it look a bit weird, try and keep to one cut angle, narrower the better. Looks great otherwise.
  3. The ecu has no speed input wire, it all goes down the CAN line. If it were easy I would have done it believe me. There are a few options we have, some have panned out and most have not. The F-con may work if it adjusts the throttle as it is the only supported aftermarket ecu with base data. I am going down the cable throttle route with the Emanage, it works and runs the engine fine (in limp mode) but the eVTC cams stay in full retard and I have no kick down signal to the gearbox. Not too big a deal but its a pity the Vmanage didnt work properly.
  4. The noobs here don't have love for the Greddy and you may be hard pressed to find a suitable tuner. Where are you located?
  5. It is, but I have a T18 in the driveway getting a vvti 1J shoehorned into it. Lots of fabrication work to do. Perhaps I will push it into the street and do my fuel system first. lol.
  6. He wishes. He went for a stage 2 Sierra highflow, now he has boost spike issues as the stock wastegate was way too small. (so is the housing) I opened it up for him a few mm and it made no difference, it needs a larger wastegate flap.
  7. See if you can borrow another set of wheels and test them out, I had uneven wear on my tyres causing it, sounded like the wheel bearings were shot and vibrated badly. Put your location in your profile and im sure there will be someone nearby who can help narrow it down.
  8. The M35 electronic throttle wont open past 26% at takeoff. This is only until 30kph where all hell breaks loose. Fine with the stock turbo but my GTX wont spool at all, even with the 4k stally. Read this thread if you are interested in our PITA throttle issues. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/266854-m35-emanage-ultimate/page__st__340
  9. http://www.nengun.com/pivot/throttle-controller
  10. It will, there is very little issue with the throttle response when running the stock turbo.
  11. Yes the informeter has a different speed output. I think the CAN line goes straight into the dash so you may need to attack the pcb. Perhaps the needle can be moved a bit?
  12. I would assume. I have no idea what they are on about and if TEPS have no clue what we are talking about then we are screwed. lol.
  13. Do you know what he is talking about with the rapid TAS guideline method?
  14. Toshi is under the impression there is some limp mode activated with the Emanage install causing my problem. If someone with a stock car and informeter could let him know that the stock car has the same issue? Apparently a reset could fix the issue acording to TEPS but im not holding my breath. Quote: If you can remove e-manage please try this. ECU connector remove 10min then put back connector. Throttle controller(aftermarket) connector remove. Then Guideline for closed accelerator (throttle) position and rapid TAS guideline method. Throttle controller connector put back. Adjust throttle controller. Then road test under 3000rpm. If your problem will fix its throttle map problem. As I cant remove my Emanage can somebody else please have a crack at this reset? Perhaps I need to lend my controller out to someone in Melbourne although im sure we are wasting our time. My ecu does have the engine light up though...
  15. It would work on your C34, unfortunately our speed data is sent down the CAN communication line. There is an accurate signal coming out of my OBD2 port and the Greddy Informeter Touch displays it perfectly.
  16. Its got a blue dot on it... S/N would help. Thanks.
  17. Aldi were selling an inspection camera for $100 but I dont think you could record off it. Need a miniature bullet camera mounted in there. lol.
  18. The Motec M800 can control the throttle but its expensive. By the looks of it you could run this unit, but I would need to see the input/output capabilities. If it has a few spare PWM outputs you could drive the cams at least. Yes, they share the same crank trigger as my Emanage uses the VQ35 trigger setup. (theres no VQ25det engine data) Swapping to a cable throttle is the least of your problems. This will be a long process to get right and you will be paying for all the development time like I have with the Emanage. Is it better? I doubt you will notice the difference if the tuner is good enough.
  19. You have one of 4 tuned M35's pushing close to 300kw and 250 on LPG and you want to sell it? Unless you can afford a modern Audi twin turbo wagon you arent going to get a much better car imo.
  20. Emanage blue running 2 1000cc injectors? Cheap as chips.
  21. Think outside the box Toshi, the idle can be adjusted with the adjustment screw on the side of the cable throttle, im using an EA Ford one I think. The stock ecu will go into limp mode which is 1200 revs, then the Emanage will take full standalone control = WIN. Enlarging the throttle will work to some extent but im just sick of the whole thing, I want full control of the air and attached to my foot. What's wrong with a throttle cable anyway?
  22. What a coincidence, Craig likes playing with rings.
  23. The cam advance map on the Vmanage seems fine, as in it is advanced at stall. The problem is the throttle plate no opening and it doesn't matter what you do to get around it as airflow is the ultimate problem. It looks like there is only two ways around it, to run the stock turbo or to go the cable throttle route. Craig still cant launch his car unless he spools the turbo up which takes a few seconds. The Nismo still limits the throttle at launch unfortunately.
  24. The adjustment screw for the resting position is jammed, I cant adjust it on this one, perhaps its loctited?
