  1. Its just a network connection that controls every aspect of the car, including airbags, abs, engine, gearbox, attessa. I love modifying cars but I draw the line at that and driving the electronic throttle manually. If theres a fault detected it could immediately go into limp mode and drop all power, worst case full throttle? In a cable throttle car you have control and can always shut the air off, not ours. If you really must get rid of the speed limiter, for a few hundred more you can get a reflashed ecu from Japan.
  2. Great idea, can I be the tester? Please? I will cover all the tuning costs of course. lol.
  3. O2 sensor reading incorrectly? I think you need a scan tool on it when the surge occurs.
  4. Be careful what you ask for. lol. He may bend over...
  5. The metal pickup ring for the crank sensor is bolted to the flywheel, or in your case isnt?
  6. The problem with your theory is when the turbo blows, what will you do then? Highflow with what size wheels? This Garrett im fabricating wont cost much more but the mods to support it will. I only built the box because it was slipping when I bought the car and I dont have the VQ35 in yet, I think you mean PM Mad?
  7. Did you put the pickup ring on the back of the flywheel? Most of them require you to remove the ring from the stock flywheel and fit it to the new one. The sensors are prone to damage though.
  8. I picked up all 4 for $300 off here...
  9. Nope, should be perfect with an Emanage, he was able to take the excess timing out on the tune.
  10. There is a lot of work getting your kit in too. Fabrication is the fun part mate.
  11. I wonder if I can just do a log on the emanage and send it to them? The output fuelling map and timing maps may help them but its probably best I tell them the basics and adjust the rest here. Not much room left, the wastegate is going to mount under the housing.
  12. No chance, and the front housing is huge. (so is my Tial 1.06) Im not sure it will all fit, I am going to have to mount the wastegate off the housing.
  13. Quite the collection we have now. lol. Im interested, they might shit bricks when they ask for my mods though.
  14. They are ID ones by the looks of the extender, Keep in mind they are only Bosch injectors flow matched and tested, I asked the guys at AZNEW today when I ordered my proflow fittings, they said theirs come in Bosch boxes and are unmodified.
  15. Try cleaning the AFM mate, do you run an oiled air filter?
  16. It has already been explained Kiwi and the VQ30 doesn't have an electronic throttle which is one of the the issues. To the OP, understand completely what cutting the CAN line might do before installing this device.
  17. looks great Chris. I use 6 degree usually but change to 7.5 or sometimes more for tighter work.
  18. Mine arent genuine ID's either, they are the local Xspurt modified ones but at $650 who cares. They are 1000cc Bosch EV14 injectors with a guaranteed spray consistency, local warranty and they idle perfectly. I will be giving them a workout soon. http://www.xspurtinjectors.com/
  19. Thanks Zebra. Yep, it wont be too bad hopefully as im up around 4k whenever I hit the throttle. It was the only Tial housing available unfortunately, even GCG are out. I will probably go the .82 when they are back in stock and hopefully the Vbands are the same size. Either way I needed this housing for the VQ35 build if I ever get the coin to progress it further. Parts are so cheap to import atm too damnit.
  20. So do I but the plug is different unfortunately. Send him the pic of the ecu pinout from the M35stagea site, 3rd post. http://m35stagea.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=43
  21. There is no speed pulse input in our ecu, the signal goes down the CAN line like I have said. You would need the M35 specific unit and it would just plug into the OBD2 port I would assume, unless you cut the CAN line and intercept the signal, in which case you can forget it, not a smart idea. If you have the wiring diag, take a pic and post it, please.
  22. Not well im guessing. I will be testing the limits of the engine and box, where it breaks is anyone's guess. I will probably have to go back to petrol to lower the torque as the 45mm wastegate has a 1 bar spring. I gestimate around 300kw on petrol at that boost but we will have to see. A highflow will always be cheaper, its the cost of the adapters, lines, new exhaust and wastegate that add up. A gt3071 is a cheaper option than the GTX though and I should be able to jig up the adapters so you could buy and fit a Garrett to any VQ.
  23. Fitting instructions? It would plug straight into the OBD2 plug wouldn't it? Im sure you guys mean well but please don't lead him up the garden path...
  24. The rear housing is a Tial 1.06 due to ATP not having the .82 in stock. Should be perfect for the 3.5, not sure what will happen on the 2.5. This flows more than the GT3076 apparently, especially with this housing. Should be good for 560hp on petrol and 600-650 on ethanol if I push it that hard. The new cnc compressor wheel should be efficient up over 30 psi too.
  25. It can, running a pwm signal to your stock boost solenoid, but there would be no overboost warnings etc. Best to get a known product that works like Blitz dual solenoid or Greddy profec B
