  1. Unless you are Greg...
  2. It's a Necro thread, I don't think the mech will remember what happened 10 years ago.
  3. The translated fuse diagram is on here somewhere, but it isn't hard to work out from the pictures usually.
  4. Google that shit Ben, loading zone parking is the best. Unfortunately most people (including police) don't know their parking laws well enough. You may still cop a ticket but no need to pay it as legally you can park there (15min). It's well documented. http://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/roads/safety-rules/road-rules/parking.html
  5. Good chance you damaged the plugs, they are too fine and brittle to gap down if you have done so. I use LFR7aix, but a stock M35 should be fine running the hotter 6's. The plugs I use though are already gapped at .8mm, and I run mine up to 40psi without a problem on the original 14 year old coils. Any sensor issues will be quickly picked up by the ecu and a fault light will be displayed. What the ecu doesn't know is if you plugged the coilpacks in the wrong order for example. It's very easy to mix the front plugs up, try swapping them around.
  6. What issues do you mean? The early 416L weren't e85 compatible and used to fail quickly, which is why they released the 460L. I have seen the 460L max out at 430wkw, and 450wkw. (as in afr's started to rise.) But that would be pressure and dyno dependent.
  7. This is where low temp thermostats become a really bad idea. You really need to get the oil hot to evaporate the ethanol/moisture into the catch can. Over 80 degrees is the minimum I run, the Grex oil thermostats are set around that temp luckily. Short runs to the shops won't help the situation, but then if you do that regularly you fuel economy would be woeful on e85.
  8. Nothing would go wrong (the ecu will protect itself), but you wouldn't get the gains obviously, and it would be rather laggy, coming on around 4k revs without a tune. Just released, not sure but I think yours will be the standard billet highflow, slightly smaller and different profiled rear wheel. Slightly smaller wastegate. Still good for almost 280kw on 98, this one just trades perhaps 200 revs of response for another 30kw or so, but I am only guessing at this point till someone tunes it up and leans on it.
  9. Superpro sell the compression rod bushes, very common for them to collapse. Same goes for the rear diff bush. I keep both in stock usually if you need a pair. Don't just change one, the other side will be flogged also. I can press the old bushes out for you if you are in Melbourne. Takes quite a few ton sometimes.
  10. Probably the same guy that did the manual conversion, but he could have bought an r35 for the coin he's dropped into it so far. 3 years on and it still doesn't move? I have tried to get support from Haltech to wire in a PS2000 or now the Elite, they have made it very clear they wouldn't help. Hopefully Mercury can sort it out and send Haltech the base map, i'm not holding my breath though. Glad it isn't me coughing up the 8-10 grand I suspect it will likely run to.
  11. If they are flowing 450wkw at the moment at 13V and a high base pressure, what would it do at 20V, a lower base pressure and less boost on a large turbo? It's anyones guess but 600 at the wheels isn't a stretch, and that's on ethanol. On petrol... Who knows. Question is, do you want to lean on one that hard, or just fit another 460 (or any other large external pump capable of pushing that flow continuously.) I imagine a surge tank is a requirement at that sort of power anyway.
  12. 4 doors for more bishes. I meant HOOers
  13. I do... An empty tank may perhaps let moisture attack the inside of the pump, but I doubt it would cause it to fail completely in such a short time. I would leave it half full at least preferably. Have you even checked it works out of the tank before jumping to conclusions? Cut it open and see what exactly failed it it has actually seized. I have had relays flog out trying to draw so much current, on many occasions. 30/40 amp my arse Jaycar. I only use the 70 amp relays now.
  14. You having multiple bad years in a row can't be too funny, can it? Just hand over the keys and buy a Myki card.
  15. I have a 300kw evo now that's sucking up all my hard earned. You are welcome to buy the box and Nismo twin plate off me. haha. Outright? Add $400 and I will send it over Josh. You know you want it...
  16. This is lucky Phil... um I mean Greg. lol.
  17. I think the ecu costs around that on it's own, plus paying for all the r+d to install and tune... Why do you think I haven't done it already.
  18. The SS2 comes on hard well under 3k once tuned, this may be around 3500, but no-one has run one up as yet. it's all an unknown. It should outdo my external setup given the numbers he is quoting me, with better response. Mine doesn't hit hard till 3700-3800 but I run the .82 rear not a .63 stocker.
  19. $1250, same price as the SS2 apparently. Should be equivalent to a GTX3071 internal gate Garrett setup in terms of response he tells me. I have this one for sale, so I can do change over for your blown turbo, or sell it outright for a little more.
  20. I had a similar conversation with a c63 owner, he was fitting an Xforce twin 3 inch system (don't know why, don't ask) and was told the 100 cell race cats I fitted had to go, his tuner said they would make the car detonate. The exhaust would have been good for 600+kw ffs. Bloody mail order tuners.
  21. F1 is only a week away, daym. i'm working in the Gibson pits again, love the free parking and entry, but I don't get to see much of the F1 action...
  22. My question is, why do you worry so much about it to flush with petrol? Have you had issues previously, or is it just down to the myths again? Straight Ethanol is stable long term from my experience, not sure about the additives United etc run with e85, but it doesn't turn to jelly in a jerry can or 44gal that's for sure. Not saying you shouldn't flush it, but surely just replacing the e85 before you start it would suffice? Those with ev14 2000's would need to be more worried than most I guess.
  23. That's exactly why I make my own lines to suit. The black Kevlar lines are the best I have found. Who is game to run the new Hypergear turbo on their M35? Should make over 300awkw on petrol with the right supporting mods. 38mm wastegate and massive turbine flow capability with billet compressor. Should get your whale moving along nicely.
  24. Unfortunately threads like this put fear into people's minds, and really, no-one knows the long term effects on components, so education is not really an option. This is exactly why I only run e85 in both my cars, to dispel the myths. Leaving any fuel in your tank for long periods will cause problems, petrol, c16 and diesel all have worse issues than anyone generally experiences with old e85, as long as your fuel system is sealed.
