  1. The 4 door's back on the road Greg? Nice. Definitely need some boost to bed the rings imo, but any good tuner will have done this many times and have their own ideas on it surely. Remember, you only get one good shot at fileing those rings to match the bore. Don't be surprised if the engine spews oil from every seal in the process, my Evo engine was leaking everywhere before the rings bed, as the blowby was crazy. Seen that a few times too.
  2. I can help with new pumps and drop-in injectors if you would like to PM me your needs, the stock lines are fine to 400+kw on ethanol.
  3. Only a pic of your car, the facebook link isn't working.
  4. Should be, but like I said, it's hard to say without seeing a pic, even then we are only guessing.
  5. Low compression and no turbo = Sad face. Get a c34 NA or better a PM35 like Dale mentioned if you have the coin.
  6. I'm making 300wkw from the stock evo 7 cooler, and 350awkw through the Stagea auto on a cut down Jap core 600x220x76. Obviously you can get better results the larger you go, especially if the cooler pipes are large diameter, but there is a price to pay, and transient response will suffer. Peak KW is only part of the story. If you plan to lean on the car hard, such as dyno and track work, go for the largest and thickest cooler you can fit without cutting bits of the car off. Otherwise you would be better off keeping what you have for the road most likely, best bang for buck I say...
  7. Just clean and test the ones you have, especially if they haven't been used for a while.
  8. For a GTR, the only solution is to use the factory housings and machine the GTX cores into them. Works quite well. Speak to Tao at Hypergear, I think he did a pair recently so should have all the tooling required.
  9. It depends on the brand and design obviously, can you post a pic? Should be good for 300kw or so, if it doesn't make it to your goal, change it then?
  10. Great news. Much cheaper to fix than replacing the 4 o2 sensors too.
  11. I have a few second hand parts laying around if you need something. Find the leak first. Yep, I have 2 good non Hicas subframes here at the moment.
  12. The assembly that fails is the mechanical one behind that, not much chance the coil is damaged. There are multiple threads on the cam advance unit failing, have you checked them out?
  13. He mentioned $900 from Japan, none is Aus. I have a second hand one in the wreck, it has the same front uni shot. Common issue. I think it's just a matter of finding a driveshaft specialist that has a clue, but I am yet to find one.
  14. It probably isn't the gasket, they are stainless MLS gaskets. Good chance there is a broken stud, or the manifold is cracked. There are 6 studs holding the manifold to the block, and three bolting that to the crossover pipe. You will need a hoist to fix this one I would say. Just be glad it isn't the turbo side.
  15. Why would you paint stainless? Unless it's extremely low grade...
  16. Top feeds I can definitely help you with. Are you planning to run e85 one day?
  17. Well the flanges won't suit either seeing the tube is metric.
  18. My 7 is at 300kw on the stock turbo (Highflowed by Hypergear. Shh.) Stock cooler, airbox, piping etc. No need for big gawdy turbos that will cop you a defect the minute the bonnet is raised, get on ethanol and enjoy the power it unleashes with a stock looking engine bay.
  19. Regs don't flow 'Power', they bypass fuel to hold a certain pressure. If you can run your desired base fuel pressure with the injectors off and pump running, then the reg has enough flow. Stick a larger pump in, and it might not be large enough...
  20. The tube steps down on most of the flanges I have seen. Not much chance you can diegrind it out, you will need to cut and weld. I assume this is a Jap exhaust, as they love using step-downs. If that's the case the tube is most likely metric, not imperial. Makes it very hard to match.
  21. There aint no such thing as e85 compatible side feeds. The rust gets them eventually. If you want a cheap quote on modern top feeds I can help, but you will need to change your rails. This for the Z32 300zx turbo?
  22. The big day comes. How's it feel letting Jez thrash buggery out of it on the dyno?
  23. The threads are all on here somewhere if you have a search Roy.
  24. Then buy a bike no-one wants to steal.
  25. With 'modified' zorst. Wish I could have ridden something that nice on my P's...
