  1. I agree, if you were on petrol anyway. Ethanol, who cares if it leans out a little. Widebands don't read accurately in a pressurised environment as I found out the hard way, so don't ever put them in the manifold. You would need temp probes in each runner , then a wideband in the front pipe. (not that anyone could afford 6 wideband sensors, even two would be overkill.)
  2. The new track hack evo7 will love those goat tracks, even with stock suspension.
  3. What a load of crap, if they are set up properly they are great. Unless they just farked up the Gtst ones? Has anyone tried changing the oil weight to muck around with their dampening? If I can find the sweet spot at PI with a 2 ton Stagea you shouldn't have many issues on a Skyline. (wrong spring rates aside) They last well too, mine are still copping a beating 5 years on. Rubbishe valving. lol. You make it sound like shocks have space tech going into them, shock design has barely changed in 50 years. Where they are made in the world should have no bearing on the quality, but Taiwan are making industry leading products and have been for years. Food for thought Skyline guys, they work great in the Stagea... What are you doing wrong? http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/448132-m35-suspension-upgrade-assistance/
  4. I use side cutters, but it gives the same outcome, they just slide out. Once that's gone you can use the Banjo fitting.
  5. The 1000's come in short lengths too Mark, how would they help with fitment? Unfortunately the 2000's have some issues, especially on ethanol. They are not designed for liquid fuels as they are natural gas injectors. They idle fine, although I try to recommend the 1400cc stainless Xspurts these days for fuel compatibility.
  6. Flap disks work well.
  7. Thanks Johnny.
  8. As far as I am aware the cat needs to be at least 200 cell count to be legal in Australia, but that is only from speaking with local cat suppliers, including Magnaflow. I keep 200 cell 5 inch 'legal' cats in stock. I have seen one run over 400kw on ethanol, so they flow well enough for most of us. If George can't help you out, you are welcome to send me a PM.
  9. Take the K+N back, they are illegal these days for a few reasons, the main one being they cover the AFM in oil causing them to miscalculate the airflow. Pod filters are crap, they suck hot air from the engine bay unless they are in a perfectly designed and sealed CAI, It would cost you plenty of coin to even get close to matching the efficiency of the stock airbox. I have seen the standard sized Nissan panel and airbox flow 500kw so the intake is not your problem. ^^ Listen to Bob, tyres, suspension and brakes would actually make you faster and safer.
  10. Possibly, but I would need to remove it from the loom without damaging the coaxial wires. Let me check it out first.
  11. I have a DD here, I can send you the harness loom I think. I will check it out when I get home. PM me your PH no and we can discuss it if you like.
  12. I can supply you with one. Usually the knock sensor harness is chewed by mice/rats, is this the case in yours?
  13. Pedders use BC's rebranded, and twice the price.
  14. There are quite a few, but none that can legally advertise the fact. HKS get a little shirty about that sort of thing.
  15. Everyone's a critic, until they actually use them, then their input is worth listening to. If you can't set up adjustable suspension you are better off with the Bilsteins.
  16. Correct. OEM dual din all the way.
  17. It is pretty easy to get the short 40mm Xspurts in there using a proflow/Aeroflow rail kit. All you need to do is shorten the supplied rail spacers, or I should be able to make you some standoffs soon.
  18. Most people ditch them, but it will work fine either way. Get rid of that Ryco and put a decent stainless mesh high flow fuel filter in it's place.
  19. Where are you located? I could do them for you any time. You may find it cheaper and easier in the long run to cut your losses and get some larger modern injectors.
  20. I would suspect the relay box behind the battery has water in it, you might want to remove it and dry it all out.
  21. That will increase the boost, you should hit 21psi by 10k or so. An electronic boost controller may help with the boost curve, but a heavier spring will definitely be required in the wastegate.
  22. You shipped your whole car down when it had that crank signal error. Things have changed now you are a Vag owner.
