It takes 2 seconds to bypass the filter and see if it's at fault.
If you run that pump off the stock wiring at all you are mad. Run a dedicated earth and fused power through a relay using decent gauge wire. 20 amps is a LOT of current.
Fair enough. Things will get very costly replacing all your broken/worn parts with new ones. Perhaps it's time to ditch the car for a current model, just because it's old now...
Gambling on S/H parts... Anyway, if you want new you don't pay Nissan retail, get on to Amayama.
I could do a clock spring from an 80,000k Stagea for $100. As I said, I have never had to replace one, and I have had my steering wheel off countless times, as well as customer cars in for cruise control installs etc.
I have seen cars make huge power with large pressure leaks. Did you pressure test the intake before tuning? If you find a leak later you will need to get it back on the rollers...
Work out how fast that thing is spinning to produce that power... It needs VSR balancing.
Or just leave it stock for now. It's working fine, and there is no chance the ceramic bits will go back into the engine with that manifold.
GTX 3076 will make 450kw or so on the right setup. Greg made 380 with his auto... return flow, stock airboc, 3 inch dump and intake. Stock officer. Personally I would go with the gtx71 for some extra response.
Will increase lag.
High gas speed is where is't at... 1 inch runners, 6 into 2 before the flange so there is no open areas for the gas to slow down. etc.
Best if you can modify a car 'properly' not long after you buy it, that way if you keep it a few years you will get some good use out of the mods, and not blow your cash.
Unfortunately some workshops/owners don't know what the good mods are.
As long as the stainless is good quality.
I have had my dumps wrapped for 5 years and many trackdays, no issues on the ones I have wrapped for others either.
If I was planning to wrap mild parts I would ceramic coat them first for rust protection.
Beanies are great.
I don't know which wankah made up that bullcrap about wrapping stainless, it certainly won't ruin a dump... Perhaps a thin stainless manifold but then you would have other issues.
Is Craig organising the Transgo shipping?
I noticed some eGay sellers in the US are able to remove the parts from the stupidly oversized box. If this is the case and shipping prices come down to a more manageable level I would be interested in buying a few kits.
The new Vipec plugin for 350z has just been released, I may be heading this way in the future with some serious modifications to the engine loom on the VQ25det... Some impressive features on this.
