  1. It's an engine out job, are you sure it's the valve stem seals? Have you tried leak testing them or something?
  2. I agree, up to a certain power figure. Are you willing to run e85?
  3. They don't have a big front mount oil cooler from the factory either. Evo's do, and they have an oil thermostat.
  4. You are not hitting the C spanner hard enough, the guy that installed them obviously tightened them too much.
  5. Agreed, I never had an issue with the A1RM's in the 2T whale, if you are having issues in a car that's 500kg lighter... There is something else wrong. My suggestion is to run road pads for the road, and swap to full race pads for track.
  6. There is usually a pressure reading point on the side, for plugging external pressure gauges into. All that will tell you is the line pressure, which changes dependant on many variables, including temperature. Does the fluid still go through the radiator, or is it just going to the front oil cooler? Do you know what box it is? Patrol/300z boxes can be built for 1200hp. If it's a stock box built, you are probably near its limit.
  7. lol. Pretty much.
  8. Plasmaman copied it 20 years later though, so it's a Gibson style pipe. The AFM was a requirement in the rules, it had to be plugged in and in the engine bay, which it was.
  9. ^^ This... I hope...
  10. Then you need to tow it to the tuners. The Djetro uses manifold pressure and air temp to map the fuel requirements, not AFM's.
  11. Pretty sure you only need the restricted banjo bolts.
  12. You never finish your mods... Ever.
  13. Here is the old Gibson 31 pipe, to give you some idea.
  14. Grex. I have a new one here also, both stay open slightly.
  15. It's not too hard to fit, and not a very common fault... Second hand is still better than the one you have.
  16. Is that Greg embankment surfing?
  17. If one of the front calliper pistons is seized it can load up the bearing and make a similar noise.
  18. Same one I have on mine, notice the piston is slightly open?
  19. And the seagulls come to pick up the chips. Alvin, I already shotgunned the TCU. Get in line. haha.
  20. I assume the M35 one is different? I am removing mine tomorrow to put this Nismo set in.
  21. As Greg said, the switch in the base of each front seat is the usual cause. If the clock spring is actually the cause, I have a good second hand one here...What year is your car, series one?
  22. That will do it... I just helped tune another M35 running stock injectors with an emanage, it was running higher boost using my modified actuator. We found there was 25% more fuel being injected in the midrange than it needed, due to the stock computer dumping fuel and timing. If you start bumping up the boost the ECU will protect the engine... It was probably making less power than stock and the economy was woeful. Anyone modifying these needs some way of tuning the excess fuel out.
  23. Sounds like you need another restrictor for each turbo in any case.
  24. Oil thermostats are designed to 'Leak' oil to the cooler, they never seal completely so the cooler remains warm, to reduce thermal shock when the thermostat does open. I would be leaving the water to oil cooler in place as has been mentioned.
