  1. The stock pipework will flow 500kw at least, beyond that you are in unknown territory, and piping will be the least of your issues.
  2. Exactly, even though the hole in the stock reg is small, it doesn't seem to cause the pressure to increase from my testing, even with the Walbro 460's at full noise. Perhaps with a 2000hp pump, but you would need new rail and reg with braided lines by that stage I think.
  3. Lol. ^^This. If you can get your 300kw power target and still have boost kick in no later than say 3500 rpm you will have a street weapon.
  4. Yep. Are they 4 front rims Leks?
  5. No need for silicone, the old gaskets will seal up fine. If you want to replace the T3 manifold gasket, make sure you get OEM or similar, as the thin ones on Ebay are crap. Get it from Autobarn, as they sell OEM style Permaseal MLS. The dump gasket is not at all similar to anything, only the two VQ turbo's. I usually don't need to change these unless it was damaged in some way during disassembly.
  6. As far as I am aware, sidefeeds are only made up to 550cc. Nismo had the 750's specially made but anything else is a drilled out stock injector.
  7. I assume the plug is wet? Perhaps it's flooding cylinder one all the time due to a sticky injector?
  8. I have never seen the Siemens copy EV14's. Good prices too, although the rail won't support the 3/4 length injectors like the Proflow/Aeroflow rails do. They look to be the same length as the 40mm Xspurts, (1/2 length.) I would still recommend the ethanol rated injectors for anyone running e85.
  9. ^^ buy Josh's, I can't supply new for that. You would only get generic imported fake parts for $800 and you would be in the same boat for saving $200 again.
  10. Ditch them before you complain of a melted piston or worse. The FiveO's are dropping like flies. Tao, why on earth would you recommend such crap. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/445165-help-needed-new-injector-doesnt-seat-in-the-rail/#entry7329821
  11. The 'resistor' in them is the coil, not something you want to let go on you at full noise. Intermittent injectors can easily kill an engine. I can't believe people actually rated these highflow pieces of crap.
  12. @ Colinhunt The amount of fake accounts on here is getting out of hand, surely a mod can sort these dropkicks out.
  13. You can easily find the NO port by blowing through it. If you want to run boost to the top of the gate, to hold it shut better, you will need a 4 or 5 port MAC preferably.
  14. More likely your filter, the amount of times I have bypassed customers fuel filters and seen that my injectors and pumps weren't the reason for the duty dropping off. It's pretty easy to test...
  15. True, but that thread started around the time I began testing back in 09/10, and I had first seen it well before then, only ever internally though, blocking the injector filters. I have never seen anything that bad locally, and I have a lot of customers on ethanol. You have me interested enough to check the condition of my 1000's though. I must have put 200 odd tanks through my setup by now.
  16. You can buy 99% ethanol from the chemist, it has chemicals to make you spew when you drink it. Surely that chemical doesn't make black gunk separate like the petrol component, if that is indeed where it comes from.
  17. I have seen these products, but the fuel companies already add anti corrosion properties into the fuel when it's made. Obviously if I can run a daily for 5 years without issue you would most likely be pissing your money away if you thought you needed a bottle of conditioner in every tank. The best fix is to run no petroleum products, but for some reason we must use 15% petrol in out ethanol.
  18. The fuel is always heated and evaporated, as the rail gets very hot. Try a hot start in summer, the rail needs to be primed as the fuel evaporates inside it. Larger pumps (like a 460L walbro) will overheat all the fuel in the tank within an hour or so. I have removed countless injectors due to poor running, many have that black gunk in the top filter. My pump filter socks are always black too. Wherever it comes from, it doesn't change the fix, you either need to allow it to flow through the injector, or collect it in a 10 micron filter and change it regularly.
  19. It most certainly does go through the lines, I have seen it many times. Where do you think it comes from, that is the main question.
  20. ^^ This. I would never get a tune unless I could be there and converse with the tuner. After all it's my car, that I built. They wouldn't know where to start if there was a problem with it on the dyno. It's why I use only independent tuners not workshops.
  21. That would be the best option then, and will flow more than enough for OP.
  22. I agree, mine has never been apart since I shoved the 1000's in there 5 years ago. I would imagine the tips may have some black gunk around them, but it hasn't blocked the internal injector filter, and the 40 micron stainless filters obviously let it through without gumming up. I do run teflon fuel lines though, and I am a little worried the black gunk is from the stock rubber lines. There are two choices, change your paper filter more often, or change to a slightly more coarse stainless 30-40 micron and hopefully forget about it. Another thing, don't use the little filter in the top that fits into the adapters, unless you want to replace them regularly. They clog up with that black gunk quickly as the surface area is minimal. I have seen it a few times now.
  23. Cheaper to drive down to Melbourne and get me to do it, than pay those prices.
