Just had my s2 stagea fitted with an immobilizer last friday. since then wont sift into 3rd unless in tiptronic mode. EXACTLY the same problem.

Hi have a c34 stag 1998, auto, turbo, rs4, black dual sunroofs, still has factory xenon lights, 76xxxkms. great condition inside and out. I was first owner of car in australia so cars a fresh import. Was bought through friends import busienss. cars located in adelaide. Car comes with a year warranty covering engine, turbo, drivetrain (gearbox, diff ect....), some electrics covered (ecu, window motors, alternator, mirror motors ect....) covers other things as well but dont have the warranty book on me atm! Option to extend the warranty can be done! Ok so heres the issue.... Just bought a 98 c34 rsfour-v stag. Engine light came on the other day. (i work for nissan) So tried to hook it up to consult 2 but it stuffed up and now consult 2 isnt working. So attempted to hook it up to consult 3 to get a code out. As consult 3 doesnt list a stagea i put it under another nissan so i could at least access the basics (engine, trans ect.) and it brang up the code P0500 -Vehicle speed sensor. All good and well but trying to figure out what the deal is.... speedo is still working fine. Going to check wiring, connectors, connectors to ecu tomorrow. Next thing is......if it is the speed sensor thats fault is it just the one in the back of the trans (havent looked under car yet, tried to bring up pics of speed sensor through Nissan FAST parts guide but the pictures werent to clear) Just wondering if anyone else had any issues with speed sensors? Any info would be helpful!
