Hey people i finally got my system done, (yes i know lagged heaps haha) but i went to Liverpool exhaust and got a stainless steel 2.5inch straight through exhaust and ceramic extractors car feels so much more responsive now (would like to know the power gains though), sounds unreal. It set me back abit but all worth it if you tell me. cheers
-
haha you go to pats at Fairfield yeh? I go there too man, thought your name sounded familar
-
and you sure that the cops wont do me over with having headers?
-
By the way, where could I get a heat shield made up if I purchase some extractors?? Im in the Fairfield area cheers
-
loving the nismo badge on the front grill
-
im not an expert but i thought you would need more than just heatwrapping the headers. More like a heat shield made up?? but if thats all you need to do, well thats good
-
ok thanks for link but ill probably get them custom made but if i change my mind ill definently look into getting dkne's

Saw a black R34 GTR at Horsley park shops, had gold volk rims, kakimoto exhaust and victoria number plates there was also a white R33 gtst parked infront of it with a carbon fibre hood sweet rides VIC

sorry for the late reply people, iv'e been away, thanks for the replys! Yes i'm going to go to a custom exhaust place to get it done (which one? im in the fairfeld area). My top priorities for the exhaust is to get rid of that raspy noise at around 3000rpm, give it that sexy rb noise of course and the slight performance gain. But what kind of price would i be looking at for a straight through exhaust system (headers and catback)? cheers

Ok im going to be on my Ps soon and i was thinking about installing an exhaust system in my r33. I done all the handling modifications like coilovers, swaybars etc etc but as im a P plater is it worth the hassle to get extractors due to cops? or just stick with a cat back exhaust?
-
Shit man that sucks, im in NSW so ill keep an eye out for it if it's heading south. These car thefts are really getting rediculous Good luck finding the car mate

im pretty sure that your previous owner put those red badges on, as red = turbo and blue = NA. cheers

Do Up Interior, Exterior Or Engine?
mick2nv replied to SNORELAX's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Firstly im a P plater myself and the boys in blue will pull you over for driving a skyline as they think all of us are hoons, they will check out your engine and if it is modded, you will get defected. Best spending your money on handling such as better suspension, brakes, tyres etc.. which is what i done. -
Just Me Venting.. Why Buy Non Turbo..

Just Me Venting.. Why Buy Non Turbo..
mick2nv replied to Nick.'s topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I own an R33 GTS25 and my cousin bought a VL calais. As the VL calais is an RB30, how would it perform against an N/A? Just wondering -

haha im glad im not the only learner here. Like most people have said its your car not theirs so enjoy it -
I've taken alot of other peoples advice and upgraded the handling of my GTS25 with upgraded, tightened suspension, rear swaybar, better tyres and these mods where worth every cent. It has made me a better driver and it gives me more confidence to do some performance mods. So now im getting a catback exhaust this week or next and a pod filter (or panel filter, dont know which is better).
-
thanks mate! not as much mods as your r34 though lol im getting a catback exhaust today yeahhh!
-
"> hopefully this works lol
-
thanks mate i'll try to upload the pic in a couple of minutes

Just a month ago i was in your same position, and i saw this car on carsales. But this one was too expensive for me (very nice car though) and i ended up buying the car i have now which is a silver R33 GTS25 manual.

My R33 GTS25 (sorry i tried to put in a pic, dont know how) upgraded racing suspension, pirelli tyres, rodney jane 17s, rear sway bar and a sound system with a 12" JL audio sub

Im also on my P's with an NA r33 GTS and the only thing im going to spend my money on is a good catback exhaust system, pod and small interior mods, then comes the r33 GTR (r34 GTR if im lucky).
