  1. saw the burgendy red r32gtr with the veilside widebody kit cruising down high st rd heading 2wards knox this morning .. and various other skylines about 2day..
  2. you are covered for track events with shannons, YOU must notify them first before going for track events.. in saying that it must be a club orientated track event.. ie the car club u belong to. reason shannons ask you those questions is to see if your worth the risk to insure plus if you match there minimum requirements under their business scheme. end of the day... doesnt matter who you insure with.. aami, just cars, shannons, gio, custom cars ...there all owned under the same company.. what your paying for is the service provided. basically just weigh out the pros and cons and see which is suited to you.
  3. just cars will insure any1 whos is willing to pay .. from p platers wif ferraris to 50yr old repeat serial drink drivers.. just remember that all the expense doesnt come from the initial payment of your insurance.. it comes from when you have an accident... thats when they start to charge u $$$$ .. plus u dont get choice of repairer if your at fault.. your "told" to go to a aami recommended repairer and have your car repaired through one of these repairers meaning you will spend the next few months going back to them to fix the f*#k ups they can seem to repair. shannons are catered to a more specialised form of insurance, they cater for more older petrol heads n collectors cos they generally outgrow the hoon age ... and i use the word generally very loosely. shannons target the clubs, both social and events and gets good business from that cos they listen. there not cheap but that comes with benifits.. ie choice of repairer regardless of whos at fault. pay your excess and take your car to whom ever you want.
  4. his my mates cousin .. his not on sau... go the spotted thread we have and post... 4 any liners spotted around the roads
  5. work out your budget... can u afford to buy and insure the car... and maintain that insurance every year when it comes up for renewal... service and maintence wise it wouldnt be to bad.. personally i would get the s15
  6. any of the skyline varients that were used as law enforcement vehicles were GTR's ... and then sent to auctions after a period of service. .. if your skyline's a gtr then yes.. quite possibily
  7. Having been in a NSX-R na1 and owing a GTR .. i can vouch for the NXS-R .. there wholly and completely different from a NXS, its an amazing ride... and can definately keep up to any of the GTR's ..both cars obviously being in stock form My first decent car being a civic with a "vtec" motor has always left me with a soft spot for honda's.. yes i was young, yes i thought vtec was the bomb... Having aged a lil over time i ended up getting a GTR to which like all who own one became bored of the stock power. So while getting the motor rebuild and blah blah blah i had to get a daily.. i bought a EG with the intentions of dumping it once i got the GTR back... GTR's back on the roads wif well over 300kw and its as fun as anything.. and i love it .. but in saying so.. caning the absolute crap out my civic gives me just as much fun .. to the point that im turning into a dedicated track car... vtec isnt every'1 cup of tea and in saying so either are nissans or any other car out there... it basicaly comes down to everybodys individual taste.

  20. did any of u guys get told of by security 4 filling up buckets of water so we could rinse and chamois the cars down to clean them up a bit? had that old man with the glasses and the messed up long wavey look telling us we couldnt fill up any buckets.. ignorance is bliss as i walked past him
  21. 3 days of auto saloon bored the crap outta me ... BUT there were a number of quality cars out there... koodos 2 the skinny security guard looking after the lambos trying 2 be big n beefy in the morning and then looking like a slack b*&*@&d by the end of the day. Not as many cars this year but the quality and function is there. Ive noticed that most of the cars at MSA are more of function over form, basically melbournians build to drive, while SAS are more built for bling.. i prefer function ... eg .. yes i can see he installed that large intercooler cos yes he has a larger turbo.. bling = why yes i can see the relevance of installing a sub on top of my engine bay. ps: dezz ... i almost dry retched when those pics showed up ...
