[R31][Silhouette]

Hey Guys, I've got a silvertop rb20det - I've asked this question before but never got a proper answer - does anyone know how to get the flutter (intercooler dose) noise instead of the stock 'pssshht' noise?? Has anyone experimented and got results? People have said 'bigger cooler, more boost' but I'm pretty certain that's not the case! Any ideas? Cheers

I'll start ringing around for the engineers today.. hopefully I can get it done soon.. The last thing I want is hastles from the cops.. Thanks for all the help guys..

Thanks for the number SLY.. I didn't really wanna hear abou the two R31's getting taken off the road Have you got your car engineered SLY? What's in it? What sort of brake upgrade have you done if any? Cheers

That's what I thought.. I went to Vic roads and asked them if I could change my engine number bla bla bla.. they said I have to provide a engineers certificate? I tried to explain the whole motor/chassis thing - but they didn't seem to care.. I'd previously called up and spoke to someone about it.. they told me if I hadn't cut or modified the firewall for the conversion.. then I didn't need to have the car engineered?? I told them this.. and they said 'Certificate is required' ?!? I'm confused!

Hi guys, Just wanting to know if anyone knows of places that can engineer my R31? I've recently put an r32 rb20det in my r31 and not to sure of any places that can provide me with a certificate? Has anyone done this conversion and had it engineered and knows what needs to be done? I'd appreciate any help! Cheers

Ok well as long as everyone doesn't point and laugh I'll bring my R31 silhouette along and prossibly an R31 GTS aswell, and maybe a few others? See what happens on the day I spose... ?

Hi Guys, I've got an R31 series 2 Silhouette with Silvertop Rb20det. Any idea how to wire up a HKS turbo timer? Anyone done this before.. The colours of the wires are Red, Green and Blue on one plug and two separate black and grey wires. Any idea what these wires connect to? Cheers

At this stage I'd prefer to sell it complete - but if I dont really get any offers, then I'll start to seperate things.. I also forgot to mention it has no panels on it and no lights or doors. They weren't with the half cut. Brakes have also been taken.. Cheers

I've got a R31 which I've recently put an rb20det from an r32 halfcut. I've taken out the motor, gearbox and brakes.. everything else is still there.. Including some interior bits I'd rather sell the whole thing as one. Any offers.. Cheers Located in Vic, Melb

I heard something about the ECU's in r32's that in the serial code they all have 77 in the code or something like that? Or is there a way to check that I have the right ECU..? Cheers

I'll test the injectors tonight - hopefully they're working fine! Does anyone know the pinouts for the airflow meter?

Factory ECU - it's definitely getting fuel and the fuel pump is working during cranking.. is there a way to test the injectors??

Yeah it's definetely getting fuel - double checked those.. I've got no idea what it could be

Hi guys, I've just put in an r32 rb20det into my r31 - it's all wired up, engine is cranking but wont start!!! Does anybody know what this could be?? I've checked the computer wired it - re-wired it! still the same problem! Is there something I could I could've done wrong in the wiring?? Anyone here had this problem before?? I'd really appreciate some help!! Thanks

I got pulled over in my 34 the first 5 minutes i had it... i had the P plates up but they thought i just knocked the car off from somewhere... If they wanna pull u over... they will....they said my car was a cop magnet!! and to expect a lot more of it
