Yea i will be going to QUT the course focuses on this in the last year, it more focused on Motorsport imo http://www.motorsport.bee.qut.edu.au/ I plan to get my car out to the track to get some experience in the field and get to know some local motorsport teams, do some networking

What job are you looking to get after the course? Im currently doing an Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, and after it probably looking to jump into uni and do the Automotive Engineering course, want to eventually work with an international race team.

Only reason is because they can retain the VCT which i wouldn't want to loose on an NA car. And i was going to chuck them into a turbo engine when i was off my P's anyway. I guess you could do something with the stock cams to make them more suitable to whatever your doing?

Ive looked into Cams for a 33 GTS and the best option is to go with these http://www.nengun.com/tomei/pon-camshafts They will keep the VCT enabled and you can use them in a rb25det if you wish to in the future. Also get an adjustable camgear for the exhaust side (as intake is already has VCT) for better tuning/use. Buy that from nengun and its $1088.86 of the camshafts and gear. Then you want a tune.. you will want to buy a z32 ecu and put a nistune chip in it that will set you back about another $1000. A different option ive been told is to get some rb26 cam shafts and get them machined to your application, in doing this you loose the VCT tho. I was about to buy all this, was just 1 click away from it being all ordered but decided screw it and bought a brake upgrade (get me on the track quicker/safer), 5 stud all round, r33 turbo calipers, new master cylinder,slotted rotors, stainless steel brake lines some street/track pads and an Apexi AFC Neo for some fun.

May be able to heat the stickers then lift them off and somehow apply them again?? Would be a very fragile and difficult job, but that's the only way i can see if you want to retain the originals.

You could apply for an exemption if your states laws permit? I reckon it would be a decent arguing point to say that you bought it before the laws where put in place... unless ive misread something

If your having trouble removing the standard brake lines, and if your not planning to use them again you can cut the metal tube just above the nut and you can then use a 10mm bit form a socket set or a 10mm ring spanner, makes life much easier. This saved my ass as i was starting to round off the top of a nut by using an adjustable spanner.

You guys are looking at the lower end of the automotive stuff, do some years of study and get into automotive engineering. Im doing mechanical engineering at the moment and will then go into automotive. Goal is to work with an international race team.. well thats the dream

If its p plate legal.. then the engine wont even be touched. My guess its going to turn out looking like something like a Frankenstein car with mismatching mods, unless you really limit what stuff can be voted on. Because if there is a whole lot of stupid options to choose the car is going to turn out horrible.. say the skyline wins to be the base... then the other people what voted for the other cars are going to try and make the skyline look horrid. cbf rewriting this to make sense
