Ruined Bolt Result Of Cross Thread
TwoCents replied to TwoCents's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yea will do that as i dont really have alot of money to spend. Do you know what size stud i need and where you get them from? -
So this happened today Just wondering what are my options here, first one that came to mind is buying new hubs of just jap for $140, not 100% on which size id get tho or if this is the right thing to do Anyone got any other suggestions? Havnt tryed to put another Lug on but if i did there would only be held in by 3 or so threads which i dont think would be that great. So just wondering whats my best option here. Thanks in advance

Questions About Gtr And Taking Off A Turbo (p Plate Question)
TwoCents replied to moj0's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Wayyyy to many of these threads going up... just get a Non turbo while one P's get to know the skyline etc. Keep it in good condition then when your off P's sell it to another p plater and if you treated it right you will pretty much get what you paid for it back. I really think its the way to go.. dont waste money and get worse performance by taking the turbo off a car, just stupid imo -
Id get one of these.

Ok i found a DIY for this else ware on wiki awnsers and thought id bring it here but with pics and a video Here is the original place i found the info Clicky The problem is/was a knocking noise that happens 3 times when turning the wheel to the left or right, then the noise happens again as you turn back. It isnt a hard fix or it isnt very technical, only tools you will need is a Screw driver not too sure on what size (grabed a random one that was lying around) and a T50 torx tamperproof bit (bought mine at repco $20 for the whole set, dont need the whole set for this tho) The weight that causes the problem is ment to be to counter balance road vibrations ( i dont really see the difference) Video of the problem If you stuff this up in any way its your own fault. How To Fix It 1. Disconnect battery 2. Take out the Airbag Fuse Ive already taken it out in this photo, its a 10A red one. 3. Remove the cover just behind the steering wheel, has 5 screws. Pull the steering wheel adjuster down so you have more freedom. 4. Disconnect airbag wire, big brown one covered in foam (i removed most the the cables just to make sure) 5. Pop off 2 plastic covers on the side of the steering wheel and you will find the bolts (one on each side). Undo them using the T50 bit, quite hard to remove (i even bent the inside bit of one of the bolts) 6. Once you have taken the two bolts off the middle part of the steering wheel will be loose and can be taken out. Their is 1 cable that will still be connected to the airbag so unplug it and take the whole thing out. 7. The problem will be there right in front of you, its the little bit of metal that's sitting in carrier. Problem was that the little plastic bits that hold the piece of metal inplace where broken (3 out of 4) so it would just move around and make noise. 8. RIP THAT PIECE OF CRAP OUT! 9. Start to reassemble everything, put the airbag back in place and put in the T05 bolts and put the covers back on. 10. Reconnect the wires. 11. Put the cover back on behind the steering wheel, screws and all. 12. Place the airbag fuse back in. 13. Reconnect the battery 14. Start her up the noise should be a distant memory, the airbag light should come on then go off like normal. DONE!

Where To Find Track Cars For Sale.
TwoCents replied to KezR33's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Surely this is more than 10grand http://www.my105.com/classified.asp?id=12385 Dont think id buy a car off my105 tho i more like the idea of buying a slightly worked on / stock car and stripping it out ect making it my own -
Hey all just got a problem with my steering, its nothing major buts its annoying. What happens is, you turn the wheel left (or right) and it will click afew times going all the way to full lock, then turn it back the other way it will make the noise again in the same spots (this is without indicator on) So i put the indicator on (pretty sure it was the problem) and turns out the when the noise happens is the same time the indicator gets turned off.... kinda hard to explain, was going to put up a video but hopefully this is understandable Just wondering how id fix it or what it would cost, any help would be great

Hey, looking at getting a set of these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Blue-6-LED-...sQ5fAccessories Main reason is because i think my interior is very dark, the green lighting doesn't look that great + i think it my have dimmed over the years but i cant see the fuel gauge and oil too well at night. Question is 1. has anyone bought some of these 2. easy to install? 3. is it overly bright? Thanks in advance

Is A Cold Air Intake Illegal For A Red P Plater?
TwoCents replied to coldairintake's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Taken straight from the QLD Transport site "High-powered vehicles Research shows that drivers take more risks such as speeding deliberately and driving recklessly when they are behind the wheel of high-powered or ‘performance’ cars. That’s why provisional licence holders under the age of 25, whether holding P1 or P2 licences, are not allowed to drive high-powered vehicles, such as those with: -an engine with a power output of more than 200 kW -eight or more cylinders -a turbo-charged or super-charged engine (except a diesel-powered engine) -a modified engine requiring approval under the Transport Operations (Road Use Management Vehicle Standards and Safety) Regulation 1999 -a rotary engine that has a capacity of more than 1146 cc" This is for Queensland, so going from this i can throw in a CAI with no worries at all. Only bought the car last Friday, has a full exhaust system, not too sure on the details.. but if thats legal surely a CAI is -
Hey, got my R33 GTS afew days ago, doing all little mods to it to make it look good in my eyes. Really wanting to do this DIY but the calipers are much different, guessing because its a GTS Spraying these wouldn't look so good imo. Would it be practical to upgrade the calipers both for performance upgrade and for looks? + anyone know what rims they are?
