  1. Black wheels certainly does look a bit strange for a work car.
  2. He should never, ever clarify and remain vague about it at all times, so it turns into a Seinfeld'esque style guessing game.
  3. +1 would review Birds food because my life is empty and I have little else to do. Also I am known to do stupid things like drive very long distances to try random things which no sane person really would. Also 2x HWP cars ignored me hard on the way home from frankston, as did a booze bus after making eye contact with the guy deciding who to wave through or not, on Springvale road. This means something will surely explode tomorrow.
  4. I do believe he meant if the price point is "there" as in 'appropriate' then people will also be "there" 2.3L turbo for 45 will result in people buying them, and muppets like me maybe buying one in 15 years maybe.
  5. Seems to be one of the "this can't be done" but turns out actually can be done. The concern is re: no surge slots, but it appears surge really isn't a thing when they're used out in the field.
  6. I can confirm, 100000000% that a stock S2 R34 turbo says NISSAN on the side. Source: My S2 R34 and its turbo.
  7. I saw that too, thought this is quite possibly the best looking R33GTST in history.
  8. Also my car had S15 diff, and both driveshafts. Also it was originally a N/A, so it didn't have the traction control sensors or HICAS to remove/deal with/keep working. It also had the ABS computer from a S15 installed into it. (it'd be far smarter to swap the center)
  9. This particular story has TWO broken things!
  10. Recently I broke a wheel that was lent to me after I split my own tire in half. The wheel that was messed up was a Work Emotion CR Kai. Did consider just buying a pair of rotas in the same colour, and wondering if anyone would know. There's so many that look so identical, that if you put on genuine stickers on what are essentially COMPLETE BLATANT RIP OFFS no one would know. Not realty. Enough that you'd never suspect it. Which means that if you designed these wheels, you'd be pretty angry at someone blatantly copying your product for half the price. It's wheel piracy
  11. The brochure linked is ONLY for s2 R34's. S2 R34's are pretty rare to begin with. They were only made for like 6 months, Late 2000 to early 2001. 99% (no idea on the number) of R34's are S1's. I've had both diffs (well, I had a S15 diff, but its the same center...) and I actually prefer the VLSD... when it's working as the one in my car was/is in good condition (for now). The predictability was really quite noticeably better than the Helical diff, which likes to inside spin REAL easy, which isn't really a problem at 150rwkw with good tyres, but dial it up to 400 then try and take a corner under power and then you'll find the back end being nice and unpredictable which is quite undesirable.
  12. Signifigantly more awesome, too
  13. I was 8 hours north of Hanoi, in Ha Giang. So not much traffic out there. DO NOT RIDE ANYTHING NEAR HANOI OR HCMC, sweet jesus f**k. Also Hue. Hue is somehow worse than anything because they don't all have god given bike skillz like they do in the first two places I warned in huge capitals to not ride a bike in.
  14. I learned to ride a dirtbike in Vietnam. No prior experience ever. Obviously broke it. Can confirm pants shat when unexpected mono!
  15. This behaviour has happened on multiple turbos, multiple engines, in multiple cars. However, the Bov (which is an aftermarket Turbosmart BOV) has been consistent across the setup. So I'll block it off for the sake of the argument, and report back at some time in the future, though obviously I will want to run a BOV in general, so if it 'fixes' it then I have no idea how to actually fix it.
  16. That up there is an excellent idea.
  17. Sadly, Mcguyver came in the way of using old liquor bottles to fill up radiator. Did lol at filling radiator with water coming out of Absolut vodka bottles... x5 Figured that would be Mcguyvery enough. Did get home!
  18. I know several people who have worked IT in NAB. None of them stayed very long, everyone had massive, massive complaints about the structure there and the culture. Note: This was in level 2-3 support roles. May or may not apply. Enough that I stayed well clear of the place. In other news, went for a drive with my cracked tank because f**kit YOLO (will check part numbers at Kudos re R33 and R34 tanks btw) Split a coolant line Had to stop about 15 times on the way home to fill up radiator good times
  19. Looking at the pics here http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/444306-r33-gtr-and-r33-gtst-fuel-tanks-the-same/ Looks to be very similar, though I can't remember which side some of the hoses run to. I swear they may be different but there's no way to know until the thing is out of the car. Which really needs a hoist. If only there was a guy with a hoist who does things on the cheap...............
  20. R34 is different, because of course it's different Unless they aren't. As if people would know, because who has chronic fuel tank replacement issues?
  21. I honestly want to know, because I've split four tanks now. Four! From two different cars. By now, I absolutely know the plumbing of the charcoal canister back to front. You can't even find this shit on google. Seriously, look for "R34 cracked fuel tank" and behold the lack of .. anythings. It's quite shit. Surely I have to be doing something wrong like pumping 30PSI into my fuel tank, but having checked the lines there's nothing there. Looks like the crack is right up top though, so it only leaks when I'm at 100% fuel. It stops leaking and the gauge is still pinned to the top, so, gonna be filling up 75% until I buy a new tank from Nissan. I've since disconnected the charcoal canister. But seriously, ffs. Birds my pain is real.
  22. Sweet jesus f**k. Cracked fuel tank again. again. Like the 4th time now.
  23. Pressure source is about 1mm infront of the throttle body. It happens in Closed loop. It happens with a boost controller set to 0 duty (spring pressure) or the ECU wanting 0psi boost. It happens in vacuum.
  24. Between what. Legal and legal?
  25. Maybe they also don't realise that people who work in the sex industry are also just people? Like, he's a work guy. Its not like they will be like OH IVE SEEN THIS IN PORN LETS ALL JUMP ON HIS COCK. Like cmon. It's so funny how its demonized, when 100% of people on earth got here through countless generations of people enjoying sex back until the dawn of time. Imagine if people were embarrassed of the fact they eat food, or breathe.
