  1. lol thanks That said, the day was awesome apart from the fact that my damn car broke down, twice. This is in addition to it breaking down on thursday. The stress of this may have added a few years I think.
  2. 30 tomorrow
  3. How's a RB25 180 go then? Better than a skyline in every way? Or is there a tradeoff
  4. I have been told many many times Nistune does not work on the RB25DE ECU (R34 GT) nfi about R33 or 32..
  5. I am forced (unhappily, but noone in the country can find an alternative..) to use one.. and my car setup will/is _SIMILAR_ to yours, but my car runs so poorly you surely don't want a map of this. I was wondering if the piggyback is the reason it (mine) is so laggy, that or a really half-assed tune.
  6. I don't know about you guys, but "bang for buck" is a pretty important variable when it comes to how good a car is when you are purchasing one.
  7. +1 for leaving it as it is
  8. For anyone searching and finding this thread - I now do not need one of these as I have found one and it's all OK
  9. For what its worth, I lose traction @ about 4000 rpm with 230rwkw with 255/35/R18's with 140 treadwear rating.. that arent near the indicators yet. That said they are about 3+ years old.
  10. From what I have read they are. Still need one!
  11. R34 GT and R34 GTT - Same airbox? Or no?
  12. wtb R34 airbox/snorkel. If you have one, you should send me a PM immediately. Yes, I'm talking to you.
  13. Pretty much as is. Please send me a PM and I will get back to you faster than you'd think people can reply to PM's to.
  14. You didn't mention whether it's a Manual or Semi-Auto. If it is Semi-Auto, don't do the engine swap, just.. just don't. The smart money is all on "Sell and buy turbo car later" though. It is the best value for money option by far. "Sell and buy R33 GTR when off P's" is even better.
  15. Hey man, anyone's name is good around here They were certainly recommended by someone who probably has the best name here bar none, so, I'm just going with that..
  16. They moved (or are in the process of) moving on Monday this week. So it seems the phone is now off as of today.. or it was when I called. As to WTF is wrong with my car and WTF it took so long, that is a mystery that probably shouldn't be brought onto the forums to discuss their pretty good name, for reasons I just have to assume apply to everyone other than me
  17. Yes. Even though it's been there.. well, see sig. It was supposedly done today. They said they'd call today. They didn't, I tried to call them, number disconnected. Lols were had at my expense at work where this epic car delay is now quite epically known. Would like to be able to be in touch with them, failing that I guess I'll have to just go down there and uh, ....look for wherever they moved to?
  18. Anyone got the new number/location for RE Customs? Or an alternate number for them other than their main one?
  19. There's definitely an issue there, 106KB/Sec isnt dialup speeds (dialup is like, 5k/sec), and it isnt capped speeds either. Not sure what telstra capped speed is, but if it was 106kb/sec after you hit quota I am absolutely sure everyone would instantly switch to Telstra. I don't think dropped packets would cause download speeds of 106, if he's usually getting 1000.. he'd be dropping 90% of all packets, and you'd definitely notice issues other than speed if dropping 90% of packets Do the ping though, see what the response times are, but even if they are massively delayed it still doesn't mean that the download speed should be so slow. Only one who is going to actually be able to do anything is your ISP, I'd give them a call as they are the ones who can actually see what is happening.
  20. I'm not aware of anyone who does shift kits for a R34 in Victoria, I had mine done by MV autos in South Australia. They seem to be widely regarded as the (only?) place to go to for R34/Stagea boxes. As for the daily thing, I went with a sedan. 20KG extra weight is well worth the 2 extra doors. A lot of people have the auto and wish they had a manual... Throwing it in D to me is also a lovely option to have when you simply CBF or drive it in traffic that I am sure manual drivers wish they had sometimes. (maybe not much of an issue in Mildura). The Stage 2 Shift kit from MV shifts a lot better than I can in a manual, thats for sure. It's pretty much mandatory equipment if you have a semi-auto.
  21. I live in hawthorn Apparently this must be a high risk area!
  22. I wish Quiznos was back.
  23. I think he's saying he'd rather pay for a 1000hp track machine than a Veyron, and enjoy the cash. I'd agree. I think the Veyron is the pinnacle of waste of money, and isn't even very good at anything other than what it was designed to do (i.e, have a 400kmh top speed). What good is 400kmh top speed being road legal, when there is no road to legally do it on. (sans germany). And even then, I'd imagine there are far more entertaining cars to get to ~300 on a street.. I wonder if anyone has hit 400kmh on the autobahn anyway, to validate the "but its street legal!1111" argument.
  24. For what its worth, I just got quoted $1750 for my R34 for Just Cars.. (online) I have no accident history and I'm 30.. not really sure how you got quoted $71 a month, lol. I think I'll be giving them a phone call..
