  1. This is literally the worst idea on the forum in terms of start to finish
  2. I had considered selling the entire box and transmission setup if the torque converter I am getting built doesn't end up doing what I want the car to do very well (someone may want it for a different application, i.e drag) But in all honesty, get the manual If you would like to me expand on it, you should really, really, really get the manual. To expand further, the gearbox has cost me closer to 10K to get it to where it is, which is good, but unless the TC from TCE makes it better than a manual (arguable!) you're at least, least, least spending 10K to get to the level where a $0 manual gearbox is at. get the manual
  3. hi I have the auto mentioned get the manual
  4. The R34 doesn't have a rear ARB (but it does have the holes for one) meaning you can fit the stock one. Note, you do need a couple of brackets that the stock car has to fit the whiteline items. The R34 N/A won't have them but the GTT/GTST "D brackets" will bolt onto the car, enabling you to use the whiteline items.
  5. This is what I still have. (i.e no headlights, only tail lights now... and an excuse for a bump)
  6. This is like, totally sold now.
  7. I have this on my Haltech, and thought I had ended the world when I didn't have a valid ATS reading. Common wisdom is "BUT THATS HOW A MAP SENSOR ECU DETERMINES PRESSURE!!!" Turns out... it's doesn't seem to be such a big deal at all, when testing the AFR is identical (or within 0.1) at a charge temp of 10C or 80C, corrections appear to be minor at best (if needed at all?). I got it configured then realised all the cells that I actually hit in regards to air temp have a 0.0% correction in them and don't seem to need anything..
  8. +1 for reference But in all seriousness, did run WinME, Windows Vista and never had any issues with any of them, they've all been solid for me, as was Win8/8.1 I suspect it's not so much the product, but the time it takes for it to be gradually accepted, as any IT person will tell you, people hate change, even if it's actually a positive change.
  9. With what key, quote the Win7/Win8 key? Seems a bit odd. Prob could find out if I google for three seconds. Re: Windows Windows 10 is to Windows 8, what Windows 7 was to Windows Vista. I.e exactly the same, but people mysteriously like it for no reason.
  10. And what if you replace the hardware of your computer? What do you do then?
  11. I concur re: Win10. As far as upgrades go, was really pretty seamless. Also, legitimate for $0.

  13. Unlikely the ECU is fried - It is where the wheel speed sensors wire to (this also controls your ABS) as the ABS and TC ECU are the same thing in the boot. Could be the car ECU but again, unlikely for it to mysteriously die. Just going to have to over the thing from top to bottom. I'd wager if its bringing up lights... it's bringing up error codes... OR it thinks you're slipping and TC is cutting in when it isn't.. or one of the many other things that can f**k up
  14. VRRRRRRRRRRRRR tutututututu
  15. Through my own fun and games (installing aftermarket TC) the ECU in the boot handles wheel speeds and all that jazz (which the ECU needs). If everything is well and truly plugged in, its time to be checking wiring, manuals, and wheel speed sensors. Bust out that workshop manual and the 'ol multimeter and swear a lot.
  16. Front Bar, Climate Unit Computer thing, and Window Switches sold. (also bump)
  17. For any future searchers - These are now sold.
  18. Put money where you think you won't be regretting it later. Everyone here seems to say where you are is where you want to be for the RB20+det Some say going larger turbo.. not much faster. I doubt very much you'd regret having a RB25DET neo in there. Even if it made 210RWKW. If you're going to move in a direction, move in one where you won't regret down the track, seems like a clear path to me. Or if you do go hiflow, get one that's still usable on a NEO
  19. May you fare better than me, good sir I have decided to get serious about a torque converter because I'm largely stupid and should go manual
  20. Housemate has Nistune and Flex. Don't know if you need the board to be sent away to be updated. My housemate got his going after it was released for his S15.... works well though. I'd wager you'd have to contact Nistune to be 100% sure
  21. I have a friend who lives in Seaford. No internet is available. At all, from any provider, in 2015. Just.. what?
  22. In addition (and in my previous setup) my R34 had a S15 diff, stub axles, drive shafts, AND the ABS computer and wiring from a S15. You need ALL of it to work. And when it does work, it works ....okay. Source, coming into a corner with a good setup under power. Mind you, power = 400kw Can literally see from video the traction go from two wheels to one. It was at that point that the lack of consistency and feel made me happier to have a more consistent but less absolute grip of a mechanical diff.
  23. What else do you think is gonna happen when Martin fixes his car just in time for DECA? My car is one great big sacrificial anode.
  24. Sorry man, I just fixed the last remaining known broken thing on my car last night. Universe gotta balance somehow
  25. Can be done. I had a S15 helical in the back of my R34. When that ended, I got an actual VLSD from the new donor R34. The VLSD felt much better. Would not go back to Helical ever again. Only because people typically get more power in these things. With more power, dat inside wheel single spinning is a problem. 2/10 would not do again/glad I no longer have it
