Yeah it feels like it doesnt have the power it did, at the moment i have a black hks ssqv. when the engine is colder, at lower revs, the flutter is slower and the valve doesnt open for the whistle yet. but when i drive, more and when the idle problem kicks in, i can feel like i dont have the pull anymore and the bov flutters only a bit and opens for the whistle earlier. as for the aircon, i have noticed that there is a wierd noise from the engine bay, it sounds like a weak lamb lol. can you tell me how to check and where for these problems? i might actually try and block off the bov port, will that f**k up the turbo? maybe it could be a air leak from the bov. thanks for your help money, really had excellent points that i will check up on.

Hi Guys, i have a problem with my r34, when i am idling, i turn the steering wheel and the car chokes like hell, its like its misfiring like crazy, its extremely annoying when i reverse park. it only happens every second drive or so. also when i shift to neutral, while rolling at 80km (speed doesnt matter it happens all the time) the revs slowly creep up to say about 1700 then chokes and goes down to 1000, then soon does it again. can you please help me with the problem?
  3. lol, yeah the heater isnt on, its closed off and it has more heat on the passanger side, its not hot as in unbearable, more like "hmmm should i be feeling warm since i didnt piss myself?" thanks mate

Hi everyone, first off i apologise if i have made a new topic when this question has already been asked, but i have used to search function and could not find anything. well pretty much my questions are: what are the pros and cons of the turbo beanie? do i need to wrap the manifolds if i have a turbo beanie? where can i get ceramic coating done in melbourne northern suburbs? i have just heard some ppl sayin that a turbo beanie is good but its also bad since the heat gets built up or something? any help would be muchly appreciated. i dont thrash my car and rarely go past 4000 rpm but i can feel the heat on my legs and it seems my water temp is a bit higher than normal. thanks for your help everyone
  5. when you get knocked back for transformers 3 due to having a REAL autobot and classified as dangerous on set. when you have as many different bov like your missus has shoes (semi true, not that many bov on the market). when playing craps you scream out "daddy needs a new turbo, coil pack, fmic, power fc, ebc, cai, billet engine, cam gears, clutch, springs, brakes, body kit, wheels and a mechanism to make your skyline to look like a charade to cops" after driving your skyline you come home all numb coz the stare that the cops gave you while you drove past them in neutral was so cold due to the fact that the exhaust is obviously viewable. able to do such good donuts that cops ignore you coz they are trying to eat the one on the road.

  7. Sorry for digging but i read this thread all the time and felt that i had to input... You know you drive a skyline when your driving down the road and see a booze bus with plenty of coppers and you turn in the nearest street only to see other skyline owners hiding and biding time. you get pulled over by the cops only to have your mate in the back seat do a perfect impersonation of a VL turbo flutter+scream and have the cop jump around and look for it (true) LOL. and you know that the only thing that can beat chuck norris is a skyline.

Hi guys, i want to replace the gauges in the centre cluster on my R34 GTT. how would i go about it as to get the bastard off and what size gauges to do buy to fit them? i read somewhere they are one piece, but does that really matter if i want to replace them with individual gauges? thanks for your help everyone.

Hi guys, i would like to know if a turbo from a r33 gtst bolt onto r34 gtt? reason is my mate got his turbo highflowed and rebuilt but in the mean time wrote off his ride. how much on average does labour cost to install the turbo and any reccomendations? i live in melbourne north side. thanks everyone.
  10. Hi Guys, im wanting to sell this T28 Garrett Turbo. i was wondering if you can help me to see if its Ball Bearing and if its steel or ceramic? if this is stock or aftermarket. i need some information as i unfortunately know nothing about this turbo. thanks for your help.

Hi everyone, i am buying a GT 3082R off my mate but its with an external wastegate. how would i go about it in regards to manifold? can you alter the standard manifold or do you buy a new one all together? would you kno any where for a good price? i live in melb northside. its for R34 GTT. please correct my simple knowledge if im asking the wrong question. thanks for the reply guys
  12. yeh, what i want is response and medium power, but just worried that turbo wont be able to handle boost, ok another stupid question, what is the max boost that should be run on the stock turbo? thanks for the reply guys, i kno i have stupid questions, just new to the scene and trying to understand.
  13. hi everyone, i would just like to know what are the turbo specs on a stock R34 GTT. is it a good idea to keep the stock R34 turbo and replace the nylon wheel with a steel one? i also have a Garret BB T28 suit SR20, 2000k no shaft play, how much should i sell it for? thanks for your replies.

  15. hey guys, i have a R34 GTT, it was sitting on 900 rpms, now after i changed the spark plugs to platinum, its idleing at 1100rpm, may sound stupid but maybe its the spark plugs or coil packs? im new to the car scene so please dont blast.
  16. im not exactly sure but will the stock turbo be ok to handle power? slappin myself if sound silly but would the usage of power snap the nylon part? coz atm i got the blitz podfilter, turbo back exhaust with high flo cat, fmic. i was goin to get nistune to piggy back the ecu after a turbo upgrade, but if u think otherwise, i will follow suit. unfortunately i just dont kno as much as i would like to, thanks for the help. my car is back firin alot, i changed the sparkplugs to platinum, oil change and throttle body clean, maybe tunin the ecu will help? thanks for the reply
  17. thanks for the reply R34 Wong, yeh for the ECU side, i am goin to Nistune after the turbo install, but with the T28, do u think im being stupid or is it actually worth it? i mean the T28 has only done 2000ks, and i dont think i want to spend more money on something that i already have. if its a common failure, i can no longer blame the gauge, i thought the bastard had a personal vendetta against me. thanks again

Hey Guys, im new to this blogging thing and dont kno if i did it right. well pretty much i have a R34 GTT 98 coupe, i have a Garret T28 Ball Bearing Turbo swapped from my cousin for a xbox 360 (he had 2 of them). i am wanting to change my stock turbo to put the T28 in for more response. some ppl tell me that its a smaller turbo so there will be no high end power, but thats not what i want, i want response from the engine. can you guys give me some insight of what i need and how to go about it? All he gave me was the turbo and actuator. ps. also what size is the stock turbo on the r34 gtt? my stock boost gauge works and sometimes doesnt at all, but i still get the bov sound. any ideas? thanks again and its good to be part of a community.
