  1. I thought they were bringing in regulations forcing the drivers to keep the same helmet.
  2. It's not purely about the on track racing, I think one of WTACs biggest strength is the accessibility and atmosphere by getting to be up close and personal with everything. PI is a shit track compared to Eastern Creek anyway.
  3. Nice welding mate, how do you fabricate the contoured CHS parts for the merge collectors ?
  4. So you didn't sell him the brake kit? Then who did Lol.
  5. I was there, Apart from the otherwise boring race, the 10 lap bike swap was actually ridiculous. I was on the fence at Doohan when Lorenzo and Marquez had their love tap, was beautiful, f**k Marquez. I probably won't go again any time soon, WTAC was more fun.
  6. This is what I was getting at, there is always more than meets the eye, just like Transformers. And people constantly carry on with this hand wringing and huge debates about engines and slightly different stroke ratios and to be honest all they f**king do is explode fuel and air together, I think people often lose sight of the big picture, that's all I'm saying.
  7. If that car cost 2.5 million to build and run, I'll eat my hat. It's a Stetson.
  8. I think a lot of what people are trying to communicate here is that for a large percentage of people looking at engines. Just spending a bit of cash on building a 26 is probably more cost effective than an RB28 or 30. Don't let anyone tell you having a properly running and installed thirty is a walk in the park or cheaper... it's simply not the case. People also tend to harp on about a few issues in the Skyline world purely because they are the uneducated consensus. I think a lot of people would be a lot better off if they thought of it purely in terms of the block box theory. A black box where air and fuel goes in and work comes out.
  9. Man read the shitfight at the bottom of that link....
  10. Pretty slow.
  11. Hey guys, Myself and 3 other guys are going to Japan sometime next year, we want to structure the trip around one of the major automotive events (hopefully superlap 2014) Can anyone tell me when this is usually held? because I seriously can't find it on the net! Are there any tips or pointers in relation to getting around accommodation etc. There will be four of us, we are all 24 and we're not interested in Skiing, Cheers in advance!
  12. Agreed, Do any of you know when the Japanese event is held each year? I cannot find this information to save myself!
  13. Yeah a lot of big talk from that crew, I wonder if it got sent to the wrong port... again. the success of Nemo has probably got a great deal to do with it, none of the top tier teams were there this year besides Tilton MCA and Nemo/McElrea I enjoyed the event and will go next year but general feelings from the crowd were: Not enough competitive cars, especially the Japanese ones. Drifting was actually better this year than last. Flying 500, great success there were more people watching in the stands and around the pits for this and the full circuit drift exhibition than at any other time. A lot of people were pissed that 180MU didn't get it's second run. pretty pissed indeed. People were also annoyed that we were sitting there waiting or nemo to come out only to be told that Luff had been sent home early and they were just doing demo runs... Pit access and being up able to see the cars up close was awesome as per usual. Generally no dickheads which was good. PJ's save was awesome, whole grandstand thought so. No one cared about the chick drivers, it was like watching Nascar where everyone constantly talks about Danica Patrick's awesome competitive run to 27th position. Food was better this year. There needs to be a fine for causing oil downs, nothing breeds reliability than a $1000 fine for shutting the track down at all times. Teams are more professional now which is good to see. The commentary was better again this year, they got rid of that f**king annoying woman for race control. Still need to wait one or two seconds as a car passes finish line to give the times. Heaps more but all I can think of right now.
  14. What time is the race ?
