Stageas are heavier then a GT-R so you will benefit greatly from the increased cubes. There are places where you can literally buy a built bottom end RB30 for 5-6k all machined and forged, attach built 26 head and anywhere upto 1000hp is just a turbo choice away. However it's only going to cost you 40k if you dump your car at a workshop and let them go for it cradle to grave, personally I'de prefer to do alot of it myself and just outsource the parts I cant or shouldn't do, but its not my car or money mate so goodluck whatever you do

Button drops his chin the minute it doesn't go to plan, take a look at some of the Honda years for evidence, also he can't fight fire with fire so when it gets a little bit hard for him he struggles like the 2nd half of the brawn year showed. Hamilton is better with formula 1 in its current guise the way the regulations effect the design of the cars and the tyre technology mask some of the issues with his over agressive driving style, his main problem however is that he thinks he is ayrton senna, when he isn't even the quickest driver in the current field and it really shows when he comes unstuck.

For the above, It is my understanding that a police officer has to pace your speed, maintain a gap and record the speed for atleast 400 metres. The idea that a police officer in a moving reference point of variable speed can ascertain the speed of another vehicle also of variable speed at ranges exceeding 100 metres (more then the length of a football feild...) is laughable. As for the OP You could always argue that the car in the left lane was doing under the speed limit and when you attempted an overtake, the car sped up.... It happens alot, anyone who has used the Bruce highway will understand what I mean. If we get away from the hype and popular mindset about speeding and hooning for just 1 second, you can realise that what happened in this situation was in no way dangerous, the people who are berating the OP for trying to retain his ability to drive clearly have no understanding of how abitrary the process for forming and passing traffic law is. In almost all situations, decisions are made by people who wouldn't even be qualified to hold a traffic control sign, let alone form major policy on highly technical issues such as traffic laws, vehicle dynamics and design rules.

Are Rb30's Legal In All States Of Oz?
Nee-san replied to darrinspencer's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I think you did misunderstand it a bit mate as he isn't complying his car, he already owns it from what I can interpret from his original post. What I was trying to say and perhaps was a little shady on, is that his goal is to retain a buyer market including people from all the states of Australia. Therefore, he may remove the standard engine, perform the swap to RB30 (which is legal in Queensland, as he has stated) and simply store the original engine to be re swapped back into his vehicle, when and if he choose to sell it, thus making it eligible for sale in all other states. RB30 swaps.... No soap dropping, No homo -
Camshaft For Rb26 With Good Response And Idle..
Nee-san replied to cobrAA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Have a think about whether all these extra ancillaries involved in the water meth kit and concurrently the weight and weigh up if it's actually worthwhile, benefit wise. Not saying that it isn't, but it's always something to weigh up with these sort of decisions, the best kind of engineering is the one where you isolate what truly benefits your project and then disregard everything that isn't directly related to what your trying to achieve. -

May sound like a little extra work but, Pull you standard engine out, clean it and wrap it up in your garage somewhere, put your sexy 3.0 litre in and then when the time comes, you can drop the orginal engine you have stowed safely away back in. -
As above, buy a V8 if you only want to rev to 5,000RPM.
-
Sounds good, how much of an improvement are we talking ?

No N1's are all steel wheeled, you might be thinking about standard turbos.

Yep, Like me.

How Well Do You Know The R32 Gt-r. Godzilla?
Nee-san replied to PR34CH's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I know they are 18 x 11" terry but that's about it ! Also does anyone know the whereabouts of the original R32 GT-R Nurburgring Lap video ! -
Definitely looking at the 4.4 the car is mostly street driven and will be doing some test and tunes until I feel it is ready for trackdays. I feel having a huge top speed...260km/h plus Isn't necessary as I won't be pulling that sort of trap speed at Willowbank or QR. Would definitely like to redo the rear LSD but is the front necessary, particularly on a street car ?
-
Agree. The only reason you would bother going highmounts is because you are using turbos so large you cannot mount them in the normal configuration Ala most of the early Japanese drag GT-R's. There are ofcourse other engineering reasons for it in certain cases however this is not one of those times....

He's just said he doesn't get to dock with Vettel anymore.

You mean 500hp at the crank ash ? 500hp is 375kw I don't think GT-SS or -9 will get you there but definitely to 330rwkw no problems. I wasn't sure whether he meant at the wheels or engine either .. ?
-
Don't bother with high mounts. Its a large amount of extra engineering you don't really need or want, unless of course you want high mounts for the sake of high mounts. For below 500hp atw look at. -7 x 2 -9 x 2 HKS GT-SS x 2 34N1 x 2 None of these will make 500 atw on pump fuel but you did say "max power upto 500" For a proper 500 atw + possibility for alot more look at: t517z x 2 HKS2530's -5 HKS GT-RS There are a large number of other options also but these are generally the more common ones.

Legend, is that an exchange sort of dealio or do you just sail down with 800 in cash money and they sell you a couple of new diffs ?
-
Nah everyone still thinks he's a f**king flamin mongrel.
-
Morning Gentlemen, Just curious to see what people have in terms of options for changing the Diff ratio, particularly for a 32 gt-r. Looking to go 4.3 but its a massive pain in the proverbial finding the diffs in the first place and then getting them in good condition.. What have people done ?

How do you guys go about putting these diffs in a GTR ?
