That cool mate, cheers for your response.
It's a bit of fun at the moment because we are giving each other a bit of shit about who's going to chop who
The GT-R seems to have the better times over the longer more open tracks(nurburgring), whereas the EVO is all over it at places like tsukuba where it's super tight.
I agree with your sentiments about the weight with the EVO coming in a little under 100kg lighter, but on the flip side the GT-R has 600cc on it so it will be interesting to see.
the chassis rigidity of the EVO will be its major performance advantage over me, I feel that some underbody bracing/caging etc will go along well to helping me out as I look for more performance.
some minor details that might help clarify.
EVO
235 ku36
230AWKW
HKS Coilovers
few other bits, here and there.
GT-R
No sound deadening, No hicas.
Underbody braces.
255 Ku36
350AWKW
suspension will be Tein SS or comparable with Swaybars and castor rods maybe LCA's
we are brisbane boys so tracks will be Lakeside, QR and Willowbank
Might seem a bit stacked but he also has a EVO II RS stripped and caged with ~280kw that Ill probably have to end up chasing
although there is a sheep station for first price, realistically, the enjoyment aspect is what it's all about and I wouldn't sell my GT-R for anything.
Reckon I'm biting off more then I can chew ? haha
Cheers,
Mitch.
