  1. Hey Guys, I've searched around the various topics on here for some advice and couldn't really find anything satisfactory. At the moment I have a built 26 in my 32 gtr. My question relates to what cam profiles would most benefit my objectives. Currently I have a 265 inlet cam and a 272 degree exhaust cam, both HKS with a 10.0mm lift, the head has had a quick port and polish and manifolds inlet and exhaust have both been port matched, with valve guides and seats replaced. I don't like the idea of running unmatched profiles like this so I'm looking to retain one of the cams and match the other, my question is which one ? should i go up in the inlet profile to 272 or back down in the exhaust to 265. My eventual goal for the engine is 400+awkw using either a big single t78,t88 or possibly a larger set of twins -5's etc. There are a few of you boys on here who are pretty cluey with this sort of predicament so any help is much appreciated. Cheers, Mitch.
  2. Hey N1GTR, Yeah i've been reading through the 26 thread at the results, it is pretty useful but there isnt alot as far as GT-RS or T88 goes, Nismoid is right though, a t04z does indeed look pretty sexy... I know what you mean about the debate though, single versus twins... Lol 400kw at 6K is a pretty mean figure, is that using a 3.0L , do the Rs's bolt up to the standard manifold ? Cheers, Mitch.
  3. You speaketh the truth I suppose ill have to pull my finger out and start getting shit done on my little 4wd datto Cheers gentlemen, Mitch.
  4. Hey Guys, Bit of a can of worms this one ! R31Nismoid, I have 33 N1's at the moment on a 2.7 litre overbore, i do love the idea of -5's as alot of the boys on here have some very impressive results however i might be looking for a touch more power then what they will put out. T88 ON BOARD, do you find that the close ration really wakes the car up, or would it be ok on the standard ratio/box ? As for that video, that 34 R is a f**king animal ! is that your beasty is it ? Thanks for all the input boys ! Cheers, Mitch.
  5. I'm sort of tossing up between 34 N1, GT-RS and T88, Obviously im a fan of twins who isnt ? But im willing to go big single if it will push me into the 450awkw area.... Say if the T88 will give boost by 5, so i can rev it out to 8 or 9k, thats not such a bad powerband, especially considering all the power you pick up right ? Cheers, Mitch.
  6. How does a combo like that go on the street, response and driveability wise (T88) ? I'm pushing 330kw Atm and have turned into a bit of a power whore.. Lol So im considering going the t88 route with one of the smaller rears, any advice ? Cheers, Mitch.
  7. Surely someone can set us straight ?
  8. I'de be interested to see those graphs, if it isnt too much trouble for you STATUS ? Cheers, Mitch.
  9. I'll tell you one thing, nothing starts arguments like a good discussion about camshafts. I'm currently running a 26 with 264IN and 272EXH and I've had every man and his bloody dog try and give me advice, drives you mental after a while. My advice is to look at the guys who have been there and done it and generally it will save you a whole lot of coin. Back OT, I agree with R31Nismoid and as im sure the other gentlemen in this thread will tell you, your better off choosing a turbo setup on the smaller end of the scale to acheive this power level (read Not GT-RS) as you have stated response is your ultimate goal. Cheers, Mitch.
  10. Yeah, good topic I'm rather keen to know also, as i have a similar setup on my 26, 264IN and 272 EXH.

  12. Hey guys, Looking to buy a 32 gtr sump, post in here if you have one your looking to part with and we can sort out the details. Cheers. Mitch.
  13. Hey Mr32, Sorry to open up an old post, but is there any chance you still have that sump ? Cheers Mitch.
  14. Sweet as, thanks for the help been reading through the rb26 turbo compare thread. Cheers, Mitch.
  15. Hey R31Nismoid, Thank's for the speedy reply, unfortunately i don't have a Boost Vs. RPM graph. The turbos came with the car although i do intend to change them in the future, looking for 400kw (could you suggest some perhaps?) Currently the car does not have cam gears, and the boost is controlled by a bleed valve;although i do have an early HKS EVC that needs to be set up along with the scramble boost controller. Cheers, Mitch.
  16. Hey guys, I've just bought a 32 GTR and am having issues with power coming on late. Generally it starts to become pretty hectic at 6000 - 8000 RPM but after doing some forums searches on here and asking around, i have found that this is very late given the turbos i am using (R33 N1) Car is as follows; 4" Stainless steel exhaust including X-Force turbo dump pipes with HKS front engine pipes 5" HKS Cannon muffler Splitfire coilpacks APEXI Power FC HKS 660cc injectors HKS Fuel rail kit Nismo fuel pump Nismo fuel pressure regulator Trust 4" intercooler Trust intercooler piping kit HKS air filter kits x2 N1 R33 turbos (steel wheels) Arias pistons Nismo rings Eagle rods Block was torque plate honed for exact clearancing Nismo oil pump Crankshaft x-rayed and magnafluxed Nismo main and big end bearings tomei 2.0 mm multi plate steel head gasket with oil restrictor kit ARP head studs Head fully serviced, valves guides and seats replaced Light port and polish done as head flows very well from standard Throttle bodies and inlet plenum port matched perfectly to cylinder head HKS cams - 265 inlet and 272 exhaust, 10mm lift Engine has just been run in. car is making 431hp@17psi hope to make a bit more at some point. I've been consistantly told that it is my cam selection that is causing this, so i thought i'de ask around on here to see what you guys think. Cheers, Mitch.
