You'd be pressed to find someone semi-decent for $100 an hour imo, for instance it's $185 to have me out for an hour. +1 on the PSU, possible to get your hands on one to try? MSY will do a thermaltake for $40 or so, if it's high end gaming gear you'd want something a bit more reliable than that though.

33 coilpacks are notorious for going to shit, dumped a set of iridium plugs and supersparks in mine and misfire gone.

Yeah theres not much on the forums when it comes to tall driver seat mods, figured the only way to find out will be to go visit some fabricators. I was looking at a 33 GTR on the weekend and tbh the seats aren't really that much lower at all, however they are nicer to sit in. Same problem with knees knocking the wheel and leg pressed hard in to the window controls. I was in Autobarn at Gilles Plains on the weekend and it was mentioned they had "a guy" that makes up custom rails for their after market seats and certifies them for $4-500, rather not go through a man in the middle if it can be avoided. Next problem will be once the seat is moved back the wheel will probably be too far away Does the government maintain a list of workshops that are allowed to do ADR work maybe? EDIT: Just found this site, http://www.rtsengineering.com.au/sle.html will have to give them a call or try and head down at some point.

Hi All, Looking for places in Adelaide that can make up a new set of seat rails for a 33gtst, wanting to fit GTR seats, dump the driver seat as low as possible and move it back an extra 100mm or so, work will need to be certified to ADR. Any recommendations welcomed, just looking for someone to provide a cost estimate for the moment Cheers

You can pick up some mdf pretty cheap from bunnings and make yourself a new parcel shelf, will also give a bit more wood for the screws to bite in to. Maybe pickup some heat shrink from jaycar to put over the terminals, electrical tape will go soft and gooey in the heat. Depending on how much clearance you have between the terminals and the body, directly soldering the wires to the speaker terminals could possibly save enough space to prevent them from hitting the body at all.

Places (in SA) charge a shit load to remove and machine discs, if you take them off yourself it's normally around 29-39 bucks a disc. Hit up gsl rally sports, iirc it was $120 for an axle's worth of qfm a1rm brake pads. Should be able to get the whole lot in for under $220ish.

I think you're referring to short circuiting the battery, which can lead to wires melting their insulation and setting fire to nearby items, not earthing to the battery. And no, that is not your problem with melting grills. The head unit should be earthed to the chassis, the fact the earth "couldn't be found" shows that the installer isn't any good and has no skyline specific knowledge, perhaps take your head unit to somewhere reputable for installation. I would guess that 44c+, direct sunlight and trapped in a closed up car is pretty damn hot, although I've never seen the grills melt before. You should also watch out for coil/spider/surround glue melting, might think about screwing in your speakers properly too, how can that not be vibrating and annoy the shit out of you?

Have a set of a1rm on the front of my 33 gtst, definitely excellent value for money. After a hard session I'd hardly have any stopping power with OEM pads and would have to waste time letting them cool down, with the a1rm pads on I've not yet experienced fade and have plenty of bite where the oem's would have led me in to the nearest wall!

I find the Fusion Brain to be a bit more customizable than the usual dse/jarcay interface kits, having inputs for sensors etc also makes it a lot more functional, its ability to easily be controlled from custom software is also a bonus. Sounds like smart entry could have a couple of interesting points so I guess I'll poke around with the dmm and see what can be mapped out.
