My 96 S2 33 has a switch on the dash just under the left side of the steering wheel, this changes the antenna to be fully up or only half. Previously I've had 2 different kenwood head units and they both only power the antenna when your in radio mode. cd/usb etc the antenna is fully down.

If you drive a white 33, you'll get a lot further with plates from another white 33. If you drive a white 33 and the plates are registered to a blue vp.... Plus YOUR car will match the description when the cops check the servo tapes.

If you have another PC that works, check if it has a spare sata port on the motherboard and plug the drive in. Drive should show up under my computer, if not check disk manager & bios to see if it was detected correctly.

Do the subs still work or are they popping too? If it's only the fronts/rears or only the subs popping look below. If all of the speakers are popping then the pre-outs on the head unit may have died, again look below but try without disconnecting all of the speakers first. Disconnect all speakers in the car at the amp, grab a spare (speaker) from inside or from a mate and connect that up. Hook an ipod/discman up to the amp instead of the cars head unit and see if you get sound. Make sure to turn the ipod right down before connecting it up of course.

Centrafuse or Ride Runner will give the best compatibility for that sort of stuff imo, but rr is butt ugly. Is your laptop one of the ones that turns the hdd off if it detects a bump (most new ones do)? Cause even around the city streets it's enough of a bump and totally killing my music video playback and lagging software. Thinking maybe a mini-itx setup is in order.

Fuse is great, testing out one called ICE3 at the moment interface is simple which is great while driving but except for movies and music playback it's fairly featureless.

I just picked up a Lilliput 629GL-70NP 7" VGA Touchscreen last week from mp3car.com, screen quality is pretty good and for a resistive touch panel it's not too bad either, I'd love a capacitive one but rare and pricey. Also picked up a consult cable off ebay for all the fancy gauges and what nots. What front end are people looking at using?

As the title says, some genius mounted horrible lumps of plastic in the parcel shelf of my S2, looking to replace them with something decent and get the OEM look back. Are the design and mounts of S1 and S2 rear speaker grills the same? Hopefully they're interchangeable. Cheers.
