  1. Have had a bit. Absolute crap last night. Was taken off Brufen for dizziness, and by 10pm my back was so swollen i couldn't lie down on my back or front, and my right side. By 3am I went and shoved some Bugesic in, which is the same as Brufen/Nurofen but no dizziness. Really helps with inflammation. Amazingly I'm even better today. Had the staples out yesterday and the nurses are amazed how good the closure was. Nice to get the best neurosurgeon in town
  2. That would be the idea. Just concerns me there is about a 30% size difference between the pack in my GTR and the one I made in the GTSt
  3. Deren, maybe call lubemobile and tell them to bring a 3/4 rattlegun. Has to be worth paying for that. I have a heavy duty pulley pin spanner I made that should hold the load as well to make it easier and maybe you could buy a 3/4 breaker and socket. I'd come and help but still recovering from back surgery.
  4. Well done Ash, but I think that the man(child) himself should not be immortalised but the absolute flogbag keyboard warrior scam artist he so personifies. The lowest of low on SAU is to be a MINES_DATSUN
  5. Damn fine idea that. I made a resistor pack from Jaycar 10W 10ohm ceramic resistors. Worked fine for the 2-3km before the front turbo blew at 5psi (TT conversion on RB25) My concern was longevity as the resistors were not as large an overall package as the OEM unit. I was considering ally spacers for heat sinking to counter that. Maybe 15-20W would be preferable but I don't recall seeing them on the Jaycar site.
  6. Was some new space age polymer inserted to support the WANG!! Apparently having 2 cars for track was sooo much WANG that it completely wrecked the back. Now I think I might have to play catch up in the club champs by bringing 2 cars and running 2-3 classes RWD mod, AWD std and mod
  7. West, I'll take those tyres off your hands in exchange for my suppliers details and some cash Seriously though, I go to Northwest Tyres on Newlands road Reservior. Yet to see if I'm up for this one.
  8. Pete, I'll take that sump/diff plus delivery. Time to prep one up for the 26 -> 25t conversion.
  9. Seems that for all the time and trouble a TT conversion is so much easier......unless a turbo lunches itself and eats the front 3 cylinders. Also works out to about the same cost for a diy job.
  10. Troy, you know you are always welcome mate. Can't drink right now but I'm silly enough as it is In fact if anyone ever feels the urge just lob by. My number is 0408 124 767 for directions. My plan from here is quickly get upgraded medically to a status where I keep my pension, immediately take long service leave and submit my discharge so I will not be working for the Army for the remainder of my time in Victoria. Got a bit to do on the home before sale so that takes priority, then replace the engine in Red with a 26, as well as fill requests for about 40 HICAS bars. Who needs a job!!
  11. You two will keep!! It's true, I engineered an escapefrom stalag Laverton today achieving complete surprise. By the time I saw my doc, got convalesence leave/drugs/transport home I was pretty tired and slept for a few hours. Feeling generally pretty tired and sore still but I walked almost 1 km this morning. All in all I'm extremely happy with the outcome of the surgery so I'll be a lot more active soon. I just need to take it a little easy for a couple of weeks then I'll be back into it. I was actually up and shuffling 4 hours out of surgery. I even got bored with playing with unlimited dosages of morphine. Discovered 5 mg is enough to knock me out for 2 hours in about 3 seconds I appreciate the thoughts and kind words and visits. Scratchies were a bust but still counting on the lotto tickets Bec Looking forward to sharing first div with you. Time to crash out again. Seems too much sleep is not enough right now. B)
  12. Guys, I'm sorry I didn't get more up. There have been pressing matters to deal with. If I get connected from hospital next week I'll be back on to entertain you all.
  13. Didn't think I'd get time to post again. A lot to do before being laid up I guess. My thoughts will be with you all as I lie about waited on by cute RAAF chicks. Be good and I'll see you or chat to you all soon.
  14. It's all good. Musta been hell for Prank anf the team to get it back as it is so well done. Maybe a good time to have some enforced absence
  15. I have a great recliner, and the above. Only way I've managed to survive 22 months like this.
  16. Mate, I woulda charged $5K for that type of info Duncan, sorry to hear about the engine. Snowy would say it's what you get for working on it yourself.
  17. Yes. In the ACT I was run into by an 18 yo P plater driving his dads work car (without work approval). In the case of an accident in ACT you must report it to the ACT FEDPOL. The kid took responsibility, but his dad played cute and claimed he was not at fault at all. I was happy to let him pay for the damage and let the report stay fairly ambiguous but with the old man being a wanker I decided to do everything exactly as it should be. My insurance company reamed the kid, I wasn't going to use them. The company sacked the old man for misuse of the company vehicle and lying to them about the accident. I had to involve them as the owners for insurance. The police, on the basis of my detailed signed statement with diagrams chose to fine him for dangerous driving, not displaying P's and failing to indicate so he lost his license. I was just going to give them something basic. Not my intent, I just wanted my car fixed but by the old man forcing me to be completely correct in my dealings it turned out pretty bad for them.
  18. I was troubled to hear of this from your passenger. Makes me feel like going out at night with a few toys from the work armoury and a can of WhupAss and trying to become the target just to make them feel a little more cautious about trying to flog someones hard earned vehicle.
  19. Oh hello Sir, do you have FCC approval for all that extra electronics emmissions and the substantial radiation threat you pose to passing aircraft?????

A few pics of the job. R33's??? Is there anything they can't do????
  22. Back in your box jack!! And thanks mate, and to everyone else too. Seriously, I coulda cried when the surgeon offered me the surgery and told me 80% probability of total success. The senior medical rep down here had said in an official report I had no chance of successful surgery, pretty much sealing my early discharge and loss of pension. Seems I may be in the RAAF hospital for about 2 weeks, but I wanna be out and in a pool for rehab ASAP. Might even make around the bay or get enough points in the club champs to challenge, I'll just run 2 cars
  23. I saw what the extra plates in the centre do on Snowies car, and while good for track, not good for tight stuff so this is a better solution for all 'round. I'll grab one after I recover from surgery in a month or so. No sense depriving the needy when I can barely drive
  24. Hallelujjiah. Been sayin it for years.Oooh, girly track combat. I'd watch that!!!
