  2. Anton, you have to put it into diagnostic mode. Search for the how to.
  3. Oh for shame. GTR not the DD? You must be busy Al as we haven't seen you about, and you haven't posted much.
  4. A 4 piston caliper will normally have more surface area to move under brake pressure so the brake pedal will have to travel further to overcome knockoff and make contact. No surprise it is soft. A larger master cylinder bore size should make it better. This is why brake mods are best left to the pro's, or at least get the right advice. You could completely unbalance the braking effort from end to end causing a major loss of control. The common misconception that 4 piston calipers will magically give better braking with nothing else done is cause for real concern.

  9. No worries mate. BTW it sounds like it went in around the wrong way to give that alignment. the slotted side is a bit shorter than the round hole side by 5mm on the R33/R34.

Maybe I was a little harsh on a lot of people earlier earlier, but the intent was pretty much right (must refrain from posting in the morning when still under influence of ANGRY sleeping drugs). So to all of you who do go to the track, my apologies. You are giving it a go so well done for having a try, regardless of lap times or track frequency. Those that don't but still big note or street race ||BURN|| I appreciate a bit of diversity so having guys like Vuster around is good. At the recent SAUVic Team Wang day at DECA we had the WRX crew along, having a great time (BTW a WRX won the day). We also had a couple of Falcons, Sylvias, some Lexus luxobarge, an R32 Golf and a nicely modded 350Z that handed me my arse on overall time taking 4th to my 6th. I don't mind at all. It was a brilliant day and the 2 nights of drinking that I missed sounded like a great time with all camps well represented. Would have been nice to have a HSV as well (hint Vuster for the next event on the pan) It doesn't matter what you drive. You don't have to be violently parochial. Enjoy your ride and appreciate others rides. Maybe then random acts of car damage might decrease and less camp warfare conducted. Only good comes of diversity.
  12. I did indeed get beaten by Dave in the 350, and it was a great drive by him. In my defence I was doing my 3rd run in that MK against the 350 without using the handbrake, but Dave's results speak for themselves. I was soft on the SW1 runs and MK3 for some reason so deserved to get beat. Shows what an improvement can be made in the 350 over the original boat I also can't tell which car that is, but I think he ran against both me and Shiv. I'll take my kicking like a man. Standing up with a beer in hand.
  13. I think you lot are a pack of wankers for trying to bait and belittle Vuster. This is a good natured bloke coming on in a friendly way and discussing cars......a mutual interest. How many of us are going to the HSV forum to say hello and learn a bit? I've raced at a HSV club meetings with the Team Wang guys (as well as NDSOC, PIARC and Maserati club with a raft of exotics and locals and even basic little 70's machines), and we had a ball and didn't carry on like school children. Wanna know what I find pathetic? People that are all talk about how great their car is but don't see any circuit, or if they do actually get there, after talking it up perform dismally. I go and race and it's my credibility, and Snowman's and Scotsman's and Duncan's and Roy's and Ferni's and all of those guys with the WANG to have a red hot go. If you can't post a good laptime for your particular machine then you don't have an opinion that matters. Period. Cars are about choice, and enjoyment. If we all liked the same thing there wouldn't be enough to go around. OK so I'm a Skyline hog and have 3, but I also have a V8 and a 4 banger, and each car is different, very different. Including the HSV of Vusters, I'd be hard pressed to decide which car to drive 5000km in, the HSV or the V8 Soarer (no not a Skyline), but on track then it's an issue of the GTSt track car or the GTR, but don't doubt the HSV has the ability to go hard at the track and be a comfortable long distance ride. I have seen them go and just like Skylines are in need of a little modification to get the most enjoyment out of. Be happy to buy you a beer sometime Vuster, and maybe score a ride in the HSV. We're not all pig ignorant and bigoted.
  14. I'm guessing the mini is slightly modified. All fiberglass, differential braking and possibly a set of bloody castors under there.

  19. Alan, it means your car is rooted mate so you should give it to me for parts Try the reservior. There was a post recently on the fluid it uses as well so do a little search for that as well.
  20. I liked it all particularly chaps laps, except the last session which was pointless and had no specific motorsport value. I'd rather give the volunteers a shot at the courses again rather than waste time like that. They deserve it.
