  1. Somewhere, a gay mindreader is feeling extremely ill........
  2. Careful mate, you'll get the Mr Serious award.
  3. Lots of internal dags and edges on the visible welds. Imagine what it's like where you can't see it. If extrude honing was to be successfully done it would improve it, but from JP's comments it's not possible/feasible.
  4. 6th on crappo tyres. Time to get serious. Well done guys on getting the results out so quick.
  5. Was at DMO for 4 years, engineering and project managing. Now DTR-A policy and implementation. We make the dark side look like a girl guide picnic. As of tomorrow I officially commence leave IOT become a sly-villian so I really CBF about the whole thing anymore. 20 Years and a pension. MMMmmmm.
  6. Maintenance staff for the owners of the pyramid

  8. Thanks ben.
  9. How long does Joel usually take to sort through his pics? He had a great one of Bass throwing water on the pan.
  10. Russ, saw the footage yesterday (and recorded to dvd). Nice lose at wakefield. That's a great green finish on the GTR. We had a great day at DECA practicing for Dutton. I might even take a chop if I can bring the wife around and there are places left. Hopefully we won't look as stupid as the silver GTR33 owner on the dutton NSW footage.
  11. Lexus was an interesting beast, but no cred on the pan with an open rear diff.
  12. It was feeling nice. Unfortunately the stock (see ceramic turbines) front turbo decided to let go at 5psi and I now have 25psi compression on 1,2,3. This is appearing more common than I initially thought possible, but when the ceramic turbine let go on this setup (RB26 style) it is often ingested back into the 3 cylinders and scores the bores and stops the valves closing. I would never do this again with the stock GTR turbos as they tend to be more prone to failure after being removed. That said, it would be too expensive to bugger with using expensive turbos. I think I will be dropping in a complete RB26 for a number of reasons, although they aren't as punchy low in the rev range.
  13. Once back in production, sure. Send me an email so I can add you to the list. That's a good price btw.
  14. The oil pump is much more different than the pressure relief spring and is worth it. The water pump is a high rpm low cavitation type so may not suit a street application.
  15. Unfortunately I threw out the old sets I had to compare, but never bothered to compare as the GTR has Brembo on a larger rotor and the GTSt has Sumitomo which are a significantly shape. I would seriously doubt they would fit so maybe send tham back. What did they cost, if you don't mind me asking?
  16. Nice one Jack. Dyno graphs ain't dyno graphs as they say. May be time to throw in a PFC and injectors and get a little extra myself, Benno alluded to a bit of a lumpy idle at Sandown (and it seems that way) but no idea what's in there as far as cams go. Could have used some more oomph yesterday.
  17. BTW I watched Dutton NSW and got it on dvd in case you sore heads missed it... Might enter yet.
  18. What a day. I had an absolute ball and want to thank everyone who volunteered, the officials, Chris and Snowie for organising, the WRX guys for joining us and making a special day of and the SAU Vic crew that made an effort to get up there for the fun. Had some close runs with Blaise on the slalom elimination. Thanks mate but got eliminated on the rerun as I rightfully should have with crap tyres and suspension. Who woulda thought a GTR would handbrake slide so well? Lovin' it. This should be a couple of times a year event, and maybe charge a bit more so the club can make a little money. If/when the Rexies run one I'll be there if an invite is extended.
  19. The guys and girls ran an outstanding event. The cruise was good too. More GTR's than GTSt's
  20. Yeah it's a bummer when you have to hold off. Do it right though and protect with a power FC and proper tuning before lifting the boost. You can still wreck forged internals with overexuberant boost and not enough fuel. I see you already have a FMIC so that's good.
  21. I fitted the twin turbos off the R34 GTR to my GTS25t track car. The manifolds fit after cutting and welding 2 of the flanges, then match porting. Everything then just bolts up like the exhaust. It's not easy or cheap.
