  1. Yeah, that's not a problem $50 plus swap for standard. I also have a MIG and some stainless wire so fixing it is no drama. Should take about 1-1.5 hours all up. I'm available tomorrow, friday afternoon and Saturday morning.
  2. No caveats mate...Do, or Do Not!!! Remember you may both suffer the dreaded SBS...... As for my barge, still no time to fix it but soon.
  3. I can use it anyway. My gear has stripped. PM or email bank details.
  4. Boring!!! Victoria, you can live in it....but it feels like crap, even the strip clubs are second rate. The worlds most livable city as long as you stay underground. A few laps of PI is worth the effort but penguins?? GOR is one long speed trap and the rocks are, well, rocks. Mountains?? Where does she come from? Europe! Been there and done that on real ones no doubt and as for our excuse for snow...... She'll need acres of sand and endless sun with evenings of Bundy and good seafood, rainforest and other tropical delights such as rafting at Tully (ok a bit of a drive then) Wine, well plenty of Whine in vic...like an airport this place but yeah I prefer the Goulburne valley...or better yet, adelaide Queensland Queensland Queensland Oh and a rugby union game or two. I recommend Northcote, Melbourne or Harlequins for good games.
  5. give BATMBL a pm or check his exhaust thread. Very quick service.
  6. I'll give you $150 for the window motor delivered if it's for the drivers side.
  7. Always good to see someone looking at the positives and enjoying a good discussion. The turbos can be a bit edgy in the wet with their boost response. From last years HSV track day at PI, at which I had a ball regardless of blowing a turbo hose and torching the bumper, we found that there was a pretty close match between similarly modded 33/34 GTSt on standard road rubber and HSV's on semi comp. Just the weight was a killer for the big guys in the corners but as the road rubber went off with heat, the track rubber just got better (dammit) Surprisingly I have seen auto V8 Soarers doing similar times to the HSV's with just exhaust and track rubber and a new trans controller. Now that is a sweet sounding engine and I'm just in the process of getting headers then the rest of the system as long as the missus doesn't catch me Sounds like a great ride and fit for purpose towing and hauling family in comfort, but don't write off taking it to the island for a squirt.
  8. In Melbourne you could show her speed cameras, maybe get defected...you know...a bit of Chaps cruising. Otherwise this dump is a bust so get her to Queensland!!! And don't waste her time on the 'footy'.
  9. That's a pretty big ask, and mine have certainly been nowhere near that. I'd even be doubtful the cylinder liners and crank would be long lived at that output although I believe Ash (R31Nismoid) pulled 360rwkw or so at Autosalon with GTR rods.
  10. I might be able to accomodate you, and even do the swap if you want to drive to South Morang (near Epping)
  11. ben, most of us use GTR rods which should be a straight fit. Should set you back no more that $300 for a set. There may be some machining to ensure proper sizing for the bearing crush, but you'd need that anyway. Then use ACL race bearings. RB30 for the mains and SR20 (1.5 sets) for the big ends. About $140 for the set.
  12. I seem to avoid Ch10 now with my motorsport coming from speedweek. Saw some good Brit tourers on Fox 1 friday night after the rugby at 46n2's place
  13. Can I have 3 large stones, a couple of rocks and a packet of gravel?????
  14. It's the radial distance from the centre of the earths axis. The closer you are, the less gravitational attraction and therefore less grip so the GTR has the advantage.........
  15. If Creatd is convenient then I recommend them. Rob is pretty good and will cost about $350 for initial tune. The tune is done at Brescianis so often you also get Danny's input as well.
  16. Email sent. Good luck with the sale.
  17. Steady mate, I appreciate the effort you go to. If you give them a reason they just may carry through, although I would disagree to the action unless substantial evidence was provided to support the decision. Pity about the loss by the Reds but well done to the Waratahs. Here's hoping they take the silverware.
  18. Yeah we could stand 50m away from each other and throw stuff. Can never work that out. If you want to hurt someone just get up close, grab his ears and headbutt...... Bugger this cowering far enough away you wouldn't get hurt if it hit you.
  19. Your mom fixes cars???? oh sorry, "he" with the resistors you already have Roy's detail on fitting them? this is the same but just solder the power wire into the 6 resistors at one end (twist them together) then run the other ends to each injector in place of the power wires they have. The switching is done in the ecu to earth the injector and make go bang.......
  20. for the resistor pack you can use 6 10W 10 ohm resistors from Jaycar/Dick Smith. Will cost about $6 but then just package them nicely in a box.
  21. r33gts, I would recommend you first check the power steering fluid as that may cause the heavy steering, and the HICAS light to illuminate. Alternatively check the connections to the electric HICAS unit behind the diff as some experience heavy steering when it is disabled. The power steering in the skyline is variable, getting heavier at high speed so it may be some other electronic fault. With that in mind do a diagnostic check on the ecu as well.
  22. What's to disuss? Timely information for lovers of Rugby. I agree though, a rugby forum under sports. Make SAu my one stop shop
  23. Roy I have some test data here on some O2 sensors. We should go over it tonight.
  24. Pete, just a little off the mark mate. The speed cameras are a road safety initiative, so the entirity of the income should go to road safety, driver training and education, not capital roadworks which is where Snowie got it wrong in his argument/options. Yes the govt makes more from fuel as the price goes up, but that's user pays revenue and should go to roadworks. As far as a bonus for the camera operators. That's just corrupt. Also a quick point, do you all realise that only around 2% of accidents occur at over the posted speed limit? A speed camera can't help the people who have an accident under the limit, even if they are driving too fast for the conditions and that's about training and education. We address that by promoting driver ed and skid pan sessions. So in our way we are more pro-active and responsible than the govt. Sad isn't it?
  25. Sux to be you then
