  1. The transistors in the ECU for RB20/25 are designed to drive injectors with an impedence of around 12-15 ohms. The GTR (and toyota 440cc injectors I have) are 3-5 ohm so 6 resistors are required to splice in between the power wire to the injectors and the injectors themselves. The ECU then switches to earth on the other side of the injector to operate the injector. It may work for a while without the resistors, but the eventual result is fried ECU Then you are able to get the injector timing and pulse width modified (with an aftermarket ECU like PFC) so the car won't un too rich
  2. Anyone feeling generous?
  3. Although the price delivered is not too bad (in the first post) These are Gas filled BTW
  4. Huh. $30 with Toll for mine.
  5. Further update: wound fully anti cw the shocks are at softest damping, fully cw hardest (well...obviously) are bone jarring. I'd say a set of these is almost livable if you don't drive too much, from my busted back perspective, but the handling improvement is out of sight combined with the rest of my setup. To be honest, get a set, get a nicely built lady friend in a tight tee and go fo a drive....bet you can't keep your eyes on the road . There is no sportsbra up to the task
  6. While you can spend a fortune on DBA's, for a little over $500 you can get the RDA stuff with slotted fronts. Irecommend the Racebrakes products. RB74 front and Comp 2 rear with motul DOT 5.1 fluid. Haven't had a brake fade yet.
  7. These may assist http://www.roadsense.com.au/ http://www.speedingisbullshit.com/ http://www.ozdrive.org/ http://www.aussiemotorists.com/
  8. Statements from yourself and the "bystander" will be enough. Contact police Ethics, and Today Tonight.
  9. mate, a harder tug would have lifted the pump off it's mounting bracket to reveal all. It's on the forward wall of the tank.
  10. Send me on with a black face. Do you take direct deposit?
  11. Got it sorted yet? I can quickly swing by in about 10 min Geoff
  12. Word from my engine machine shp was they are to spec on the journals, the grooves are of no consequence and they were pretty straight
  13. Bass I have 11.6:1 and a crappy batch of Optimax has me listening for every sound. Didn't see the light but heard it.
  14. Wanted for PFC Ser # RB25 9904-0023 for R33 GTS25t. All reasonable offers considered. Email or PM
  15. I currently have a GTR33 pump I'll let go for $200
  16. Mud, read the article in my sig, then go with the 35
  17. I fitted GTR cams in the RB25DET and found, as advised by Ben at Racepace Melbourne (RPMGTR), that they have too much ramp angle causing loss of compression at low RPM, say under 5000, but over they felt pretty good, really good. These were the ones that destroyed Roy's top end, yet they worked to expectation in mine after a polish of the journals. I will be getting a regrind of the flanks to allow for use with the hydraulic lifters and will be posting results elsewhere.
  18. R32 GTSTT, sorry to hear of your engine failure. while at this time I don't have any extra points to add over the other good advice given, I, and I'm sure many others, would appreciate and benefit if you posted details of your engine failure in the thread in my sig.
  19. Sea change? 35-45, had some success, not appreciatd fully where you work or are maybe more intelligent than the bosses and see an opportunity to wind back but still make money to live. It doesn't take a smart guy a day to do "a days work". Plus if I go back into my speciality the average package in Brissy is $115K a year and cost of living 15% lower. Still I CBF about the pressure and tap dancing around risk avoidance. No you've chosen the best part of the nicest place in the world to live.
  20. Goddam ricer. Should come and check my new green goblin anodised bits Get stickers at Creatd's workshop or the guys are sometimes at Autobarn Epping.
  21. The brackets are off the sides of the block and run under the sump, unless my mind is completely gone. Where are you located?
  22. OK I just fitted up this morning and got back from the test drive. Discovered left rear of my old shocks was leaking so that may highlight the difference I experienced. no high speed stuff, just heaps of roundabouts and some bumpy roads/trainlines. I am extremely satisfied with the immediate handling improvement. I've only tried one setting which I think was fully soft, so I'm about to go the other end of the setting range and test again. The ride is firm and you know it when going over big bumps, but not too bad on my bad back measure with 3 busted discs . Height is within a couple of mm of the RSR lowered spring on the original shocks but I'll get Centreline to do the rest. Basically as high as will go with a suitable number of turns of thread in the cup to hold it safely. See my gallery for example of height. Don't worry though when side by side and the originals are a bit longer. It's a nice legal height as long as the exhaust doesn't hang down too far. My regards to Unique Autosport and boosted zed (John Penlington) for their assistance and communication during this acquisition. A very satisfied customer here.
  23. There are 2 brackets at the bottom of the block, onto the bottom quadrants of the bell housing, remove them. Then access the 10mm sump bolts with a 1/4 socket set using an extension. $10 @ supercheap but they are good for light stuff.
