  1. Sneak into the kitchen and grab the gripper thingy from tupperware that the lady of the house uses to open tight screw tops. Make sure you wash it thoroughly after and hope not to get caught.
  2. Ow....to both the engine and the slappin' Kel will give you. Give us an update on the outcome too mate....of the engine rebuild. I don't want to know how much ironing you get as punishment
  3. This place is getting some in Qld soon http://www.importbitz.com.au/suspension.htm but the low end HS items won't be in until Jan. HR will be in next week.
  4. Just did 2x 9 hour flights on BA 747's full of Poms. Im off travelling to England 4EVER, but Scotland Wales and Ireland are on the cards. A short stroke engine will make revs, at the expense of torque and VV but it depends upon your application.
  5. Great idea team. In Melbourne we use Kevin Flynn or kevwrx (forum nic) of Driver Dynamics http://www.driverdynamics.com/ Kev is highly experienced, a lifelong driving instructor it would appear, and takes courses from defensive right through to track, trick and protective skills to order. I myself won't participate due to the number of defensive courses I have participated in, not to mention instructing light and heavy vehicle licensing courses and defensive courses, but I only add that to support my thoughts on Kev as one of, if not THE finest driving instructors I have ever encountered.
  6. Shan, good to see you on the ball. Was going to drop in earlier (after a quick call to check) regarding these resources for myself but time got away from me. Maybe over the weekend. Busy getting the GTR cams in.
  7. Shan's a pretty nice guy, so he's just being a bit tardy. I doubt he's off to the carribean with your cash. I get the impression that he's burning the candle at both ends trying to work through Uni. I'll give him a hustle up next time I talk to him, hopefully today.
  8. Mine arrived today so I'm happy. These guys are red hot on the service and Al, you have to be happy with the refund. Now to fit them.....
  9. Dan, good to see you made it back AND had some money left to do some shopping
  10. SteveL - FAST GURU Nissan dealers always need the model and chassis code and can be a bit tedious. You will have to pay up front for not in stock parts. I ordered the cam belt guide plates and woodruff keys for mine today but they had them in Melb.
  11. Guys, good to see SAUQLD getting moving. As a few may be aware I'm moving back home to Brisvegas about July next year so will be looking toward membership and possibly one day a role in the club executive itself. Naturally I'll be getting to know everyone first and helping to build the clubs identity and exposure but thus far I am fairly active in the SAUVic club. My personal interests are motorsport and building a quick racecar. I'll be attempting to stand up a motorsport based engineering consultancy as well as doing a few home reno's with the wife so I will have some time to contribute. Good luck to the new commitee and best wishes to all for the holiday period. See you all next year. Geoff Williams
  12. Or try the NSK distributor in Sydney. they may not deal direct but will give an outlet name to go through.
  13. Maybe Repco are having a Xmas special on reco'd boyfriends so check it out I had a problem with the indicator and noticed a puff of smoke one day from the steering column. It was the lubricant in the control box on the indicator stalk and was giving a funny contact that caused some fusing of the contact. It would flash real fast sometimes as well. I pulled the box (on the right side of the column) apart and cleaned up the grease and soldered the hole in the contact and good as new.
  14. Call a nissan dealer. They have a good range of parts now in Oz
  15. Where on the westside are you?
  16. I'm interested in taking a look. Maybe tomorrow? Tomorrow night is no good so let me know when. 0408 124 767 if you need it
  17. Hah. Rianto is stocking up for a track weapon.....
  18. OK done, had a few technical hiccups. Thanks Al. Not sure you should have allowed Chris a set as he is already fast enough
  19. Ron is the man Roy........
  20. Mate how much do you want, or can I make an offer?
  21. Greg was that the R31?
  22. Currently following a line on a new diff product in Japan that is about $350 plus freight for an LSD. I'll keep you all posted.
  23. Back in coutry so I'll be right on it. Cheers Al
  24. Mate that's the sort of info I like to hear and possubly timely advice. Just as an aside, did you Cam Doctor the RB25DET cams as well? I definitely note a ramped flank on the cam lobe as well, but noticeably lower than the RB26 cams. I am hoping to get away with buying a new dial indicator before the finance minister catches me with the cash tin so I can map the cams and dial in an appropriate overlap in the old schoool fashion before drive on dynos were available so maybe I'll get up to speed on the doctor and take a look as well. Alternatively I may also have the flanks ground down to get lift without the side effects.
  25. Jaik, just want to let you know I got in from Bangkok today to find my set had arrived. Thanks mate and also great job on the tracking and info updates. Legendary effort.
