  1. Sorry so long to respond to PM request Stirlo, but it sounds a hell of a lot like the fuel pump or filter has packed it in. Hope this is an easy fix for you, well until the low comp piston is fixed.
  2. Try Strapon Tools.....er Snapon Tools
  3. Thanks Neil. They also do well on Phillip Island. I borrowed Roys D01J's at about the same size and pulled 5 seconds out of my best lap time back then.
  4. Just a note, I do have the gear to finish this conversion, but I am waiting on some adjustable cam gears to save pulling the belt off again.
  5. Which is why it works for Sydneykid, and the suggestion that it wouldn't work due to ramp angles was laughed at by one of the Northsides' (Melb) better engine machining and building shops. So you will of course provide dyno charts to support this advice? Make it quick as I'll be limited to occasional whoring from Thailand from 12 tomorrow. I'm more than happy to concede to concrete evidence that it won't work, but there is evidence to the contrary.
  6. Neil, interested in the wheels and tyres so keep me in mind when the time comes.
  7. Not so much, just that when you get on or beyond the limit the rear doesn't have a bloody mind of it's own. Powerslides are more predictable if that's your thing. Also reduces tankslap when you unintentionally get a little sideways then back off fast, something the missus had trouble coming to terms with. I'm lucky enough to still have a stocker to compare with and it is a doughy auto barge compared to the track car.
  8. Even with 10 I'm still in for the brakelines
  9. Ant mine does the same, even after I changed to PFC. Apparently the tacho can be pulled out easily and the tracks cleaned as they get a bit corroded or something. Hearsay only but worth a look. Unfortunately I'm snowed for time to check but will do so after I get back from OS on 5th Dec
  10. I live in South Morang, near Mill Park
  11. Sold mate. When can I pick it up? Leaving Weds for Thailand until 5 Dec so if I can't PU before will you hold it?
  12. I understand, no, but I hope to be found wrong.
  13. Well Neil, since you are moving to a specific track car, you'll just have to stick to the top of the pyramid. Also if you decide to get rid of the wheels and tyres let me know the details as I'm interested.
  14. Go Gordo. Were the other times up there by stealth 1:04 or 104 seconds? Nizchick good effort but cheater tyres at the back is ...well..cheating So how is the track surface? Still bumpy as ever at the end of the pit straight? Just thinking ahead to coming home to Brisbane in Jun/Jul and getting new shocks.
  15. Bugger, they don't make a FCD for the R33 GTSt orI would be interested in it.
  16. :skylinegeoff quietly notes Roy slipping down the pyramid and adds comments for upcoming performance appraisal, may explain lack of performance at recent track days, more interested in the social aspects:
  17. Are you still interested in selling these? Call me on 0408 124 767

As you wish. And if they don't fix the miss.......... Couple of tubes of araldite has to be worth a try first. If the miss goes away then splash cash on the splitfires with my humble blessing. I was thinking some crumpledore coilpacks and high tension leads might be a good try sometime.
  22. Dec 5th 0900 I fly back in to Melb so I'll be pretty tired. Maybe we hold a planning conference in the afternoon with a couple of drinks........
  23. Too true, but for the cost of buying all of those, a mechanical will be easier and cheaper. Best quote so far is $700.
