  1. OK guys, at great expense to the commonwealth I have sourced the sup regs. The crunch is $125 per day if they receive them by friday or $140 per day after including entries on the day. I'd suggest get them in the mail today. Unfortunately no fax number listed so mail it is. My wife will be steaming but I'll tap dance lots CLICK HERE for the sup regs in PDF.
  2. search for memphis, he does the stickers
  3. Mate I'm still waiting on sup regs. Canned Morwell so this one...I am in. Gotta try out the new swaybars on track. Feel pretty nice so far :D:D:D:D Tyres, try my guys at Northwest in Reservior on Newlands road. 100 each for my treads need new rears too. Damn 200+rwkw just eats em
  4. While I voted no for the poll, I have some issues. This is too little too late and the Govt has already allowed juveniles too much autonomy and supported them in not being responsible for too long. To then turn around and start imposing rules will be the same as in the home and the youth will rebel. Your call Govt. You screwed it, now fix it but at a younger age. Try a curfew at 10-17 years and I am sold. As far as I am concerned though, at 18 a person is an adult and can join the military and serve, kill or die for their country. They can vote and consume alcohol - legally. This is a knee jerk reaction to avoid having to properly train drivers at a young age and to amortise the failure of their responsible governance by not mandating school age children be responsible and learn values, in the schools as well as home.
  5. I just installed a set of Whiteline adjustable anti roll bars and they have transformed the car. It already had good turn in due to the extra caster I run but now sits flat and corners much faster and more predictably, and gets power down better out of the corner. I have the front set centre soft (4 holes) as I couldn't be stuffed relocating the links and the rear is a little twitchy so I will be going to full hard in the next few days. The rear is full soft (2 holes). I went straight to Whiteline ($502 delivered) as I do my own work, but I hear Centreline are good.
  6. Confirmation of the PIARC event. I have the Sup regs on the way. Do we want to adjourn this as a boys weekend to PI? Many of the known scumbags.....er I mean drinkers will be there.
  7. The PIARC site does have a calendar, it's just a bit hard to find. there is an event listed so here is the calendar. I'm awaiting a response regarding the sup regs.
  8. Just for interest here is the PIARC calendar I'm sending an email asking for sup regs and will distribute if I get them.
  9. Bepo there is a SAU Vic club that is CAMS affiliated. You pay to be a member of that and the club can issue CAMS L2S licenses.
  10. I'm yet to confirm there is any event at PI that weekend. Island magic is a 2 day event in Nov run by PIARC but the PI site and PIARC site have nothing for 21-22 as yet.
  11. I'll put in a leave app right away Roy might be interested too since he lives so close to the venue
  12. Paul sorry I missed this. I pay $400 for a complete set with 70-80% rubber (sometimes 90%) in that exact size.
  13. Move aside everyone for the expanding head. Good on you Shane!!! Snowies car is pretty nice, when it goes. Just needs seats to fit fat bastards like me.
  14. Just interested in discussing a recent incident with an RB20 that fitted GTR cams. The owner believes some of the inlet valves were staying open off lobe. So would the problem be: 1. The hydraulic follower is pumping too far open 2. the extra lift is pushing the follower too far into the guide and making it stick(the engine is 180K old), I think unlikely. it would stay well open. 3. the off lobe diameter of the cam is a larger diameter than the stocker and the hydraulic follower is jammed at one clearance and won't close to accomodate. 4. bent valves due to timing belt slipping a few teeth as the inlet cam was apperently very tight in the journal. There were signs of at least one set of valves touched the piston so the timing would have been out slightly, but at least 3 sets stay slightly open. I'm yet to see the head but very keen to follow up and see if they ar all bent valves or one of the other problem I mentioned.
  15. Niz are you just letting the drama follow you around for a bit of attention?? Sorry to hear mate. I had the Opera glass in my Soarer (fixed rear window) busted and emailed Just Jap in Sydney to get a replacement. Once you have the glass any winscreen place can do the job. just make sure to shop around as i found a $300 difference in the price of the piece of glass from wreckers. Sorry to hear about your mum too. Filthy cameras Good luck and maybe add a note to my research thread below.
  16. Blitz_boy, sorry if this sounds like I'm wading in to get a few kicks myself, but the description of the way this car is being repaired means it will be better than original, and stronger. It follows the original fabrication methods with more attention to detail, and as an Engineer I would be more than happy to inspect the vehicle and establish it's integrity for safe and suitable for road use. Unfortunately I declined the VicRoads invitation to become a VASS engineering inspector due to the outrageous triple layered insurance that is mandated, so it is not possible for me to inspect. AS far as rebirthing and VIN numbers go, there are legal means of doing this. PLease leave the rumour and supposition out of the discussion and leave the structural integrity and safety arguments to the engineers and skilled tradesmen/fabricators. Just enjoy the show that Troy is providing to the grateful admirers.
  17. SBS speed week I saw the NSW one on.
  18. As long as Snowy isn't dancing it will be good. Sensible approach mate but that sort of ***** attitude won't get much TV time...right Duncan?
  19. Thanks, thought it might be that as well but just from memory I wasn't sure.
  20. So any comments on why the RB26 inlet cam gear is necessary? Is it just to disable the cam timing?
  21. Denton try Northwest tyres in Reservior. I always deal with one guy and call ahead on his mobile so I think my price is a bit better than usual but they have plenty of Conti's from europe. I haven't tried the P zero but the 6000 is not as good as these.
  22. And since I'm such a good bloke, I can help you fix it. I'd take a look at the subframe bushes as well and maybe get some pineapples or lock bushes to tighten it up.
  23. Uh Huh, and a hire car is someone elses Good thing about Gerald thrashing it is he can fix it later
  24. Fastest car in the world...somebody elses!!! See you there Simon.
