You'll need that then

You shouldn't need an alignment as the springs hold the car at the right height, not the shocks. I always recommend new and improved. When an old shock fails it may have an impact on the springs by working one side too hard and resetting that sides' height. Buying second hand can be as dodgy as they may have been unused for some time and the seals, when not exercised, may fail soon after installation and you are back at square one. GL though and hope they work fine.

Sorry Neil, Rugby will not be taking any more overpaid has-beens from League if I can have any persuasion. Your leaguie forwards are too soft and won't understand rucks and mauls, let alone a line-out or a contested scrum or work rate or mobility combined together, your centres will not have the situational awareness to play anywhere but at fullback or wing and your backs and wingers will then have to comb their hairdos elsewhere. Did I miss anyone else who can't count beyond 5.....0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, last....(apply kick or be scorned by Sterlo the Flog)

Bit like the Vic Fags when an interstate team wins their precious GAYFL final. Suddenly don't want to know about it Had to laugh, every time a bit of a tough tackle was put on all the nearest 'roaches would pile in, but fark what a bunch limpwrists they were. Looked like they were fluffing pillows instead of trying to start a barney. And Mason is like this big sook who tries to be the hard man, but when he can't dominate he turns to putty and starts looking for a little guy to try to crunch. Do us a favour and send him of to be with Hopoate.

This is a very good way to start the day. Because is always good to start the day with a positive outlook! 1. Open a new file in your computer. 2. Name it 'Phil Gould'. 3. Press Delete & Send it to the Recycle Bin. 4. Empty the Recycle Bin. 5. Your Computer will ask you. 'Do you really want to get rid of 'Phil Gould?' 6. Firmly Click 'Yes.' 7. Feel better? Of Course you do, (even cockroaches hate him!) Tomorrow we'll open a file called Matthew Johns & see how that feels!

Isaak, I also run the Sydneykid suspension in my GTR33. It is an exceptional kit with good ride without compromising handling. Definitely worth spending a little extra as the car will improve dramatically. Otherwise, if you want cheaper then Elite32 here in Brissy can help with a set of Teins setup for our conditions and not the rock hard Jap style.

Haha might have thought they were in Paris, where the handbrake is sometimes left off and bumpers are used to make a parking space larger..........

BTW just ordered a set of Ferodo DS2500 pads for the GTR33 (stock Brembo) for $272 front and $161 rear and delivered fast From Competition Friction. I'm certain last time was overnight. Be interesting to see what they can do for the 380mm x 40mm AP racing calipers (FIA GT1 class caliper) I just bought.

Col, I have one of these coming and planning on a few more www.goprocamera.com Check the video on the front page. The only movement is the car and there is one with the car having a sudden stop and it barely moves. This is the local supplier [email protected] and only does the motorsport design. With CAMS bringing in rules regarding camera weight (camera must not be greater than 100 grams) these are now ideal for obtaining footage during races. Looks good and the vids are only small window but that would be enough for most.

If you have shuddering then it is likely the pads aren't bedded properly anymore, that you may have warped them or most likely you have stopped hard after some serious brake workout and left the car sitting, maybe even with the handbrake on. This last can change the rate of cooling and you get pad material entering the disc grain structure as it cools leaving an area that is harder than the surrounding metal. This is far more common than just warping and is almost impossible to remove with a quick skim. Look for a different colour and a pad outline on the disc surface. So is the shuddering front or rear? When bleeding try to never allow the reservoir to drain completely. Almost drain it through normal bleeding then top up with the new fluid and continue until you get clean fluid of the new colour through. I use a hands free bleeder and can do the brakes in around an hour including wheels removed for inspection of all other components.

Skids in the wet are good, but you already supply that mate. Anyone reading this, get your butts out there and enjoy your cars instead of cruising looking for someone to drag. Street racing is for tools.
-
Aaron, if I didn't know you mate that would sound like the biggest con story ever. BTW mate I'm considering putting you in for an Order of Australia Medal for services to the improvement of Road Sense and vehicle handling, or something along those lines. If we had a lot more of these things there would be less idiots driving like tools on the roads. Get in and fill these spots folks. Best fun you can have off a race track.

Michael, I get all of my brake components either off Competition Friction or Racebrakes. http://www.compfriction.com.au/ www.racebrakes.com.au I have no problems with AP and Brembo and surely they can get Alcon. You will probably need either the brake part number or the dimensions of the pad.

Paid and ready. Can't wait and have the new cam for in car footage arriving soon.

O rings are great for stock gaskets but there are plenty of good metal gaskets on the market now with the O ring design built in in a sense. As for the rest, you will have to decide on the budget you want to keep. Brad (spoolup) can get you CP pistons to give 9:1 at a good price, plus rods if you decide to retire the Nissan ones.

Not sure that once the "Club" has paid for the land that we'll be letting the general Skyline driving public in. I guess the next step would be that we let non-members have access to CAMS licenses as well since certain mods think we have to have all club events posted on here open to all...... But going to the actual race track and talking to people that actually use their cars is an outrageous idea. All the wannabes wouldn't be able to pretend that they just blew someone away (even though he wasn't bothering to race - because street racing is for the 5k back and shuffle, carpark lingering tools).

My Restoration
GTRgeoff replied to Godzilla32's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
I coated as many parts as I could find in thread locker but I think Deren has washed that off Deren that will be a great way to get experience with Nistune. An experienced tuner will always get you pointed in the right direction faster. My nephew is working at Signature out here now. I got him in there to start getting his trade and he loves it and Mick is now getting him to learn the tuning biz. Not a bad head start at 17yo. He was working for me doing plenty of odd jobs and all the car maintenance and modifications but needed to get a start on the apprenticeship proper. Now he is fully into custom mods and such as well. More than he would see at my house. Point me some details on where to get it so I can give it a try as well. -
Didn't I tell you it is only useful when pushing the limits of a current build, but since plenty is in reserve it's a WOFTAM item?

That is gold. What would Lambo owners say? seeing their car needs to be serviced and maintained just like any other car?? How much was the windscreen replacement in the Yellow Peril? About $13K and a week in the shop right? ROFLcopter
