  1. Thanks Ash. So who can actuallt fix this? Funky? Christian or Merli?
  2. Actually, while I'm on it, wan't there a feature where we got told if we received feedback as a board email? That would be a good reminder for people.
  3. Seems a good enough place for my gripe Christian. I can't access any trader ratings including my own and can't leave feedback. I put Shan on the job a couple of months back but noy joy yet. This is the message: Board Message Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information. The error returned was: Sorry, but you do not have permission to use this feature. If you are not logged in, you may do so using the form below if available.
  4. I think 10 ohm is more on the money. At least 10 Watt as well. I don't do hp but have seen a 20 run 260rwkw as a stock short engine. It was backed off for a little longevity.
  5. Insufficient info again Ash. If you must try to help people at least be thorough. Tyres, suspension, driver skill.....meh the list goes on. A GTR with exhaust, adjustable reg and 1bar of boost on the stock computer pulls around 250-260rwkw I don't think there is any value in trying to drag one, but certainly racing one on the circuit is achievable. Make the races 10 lappers and his tyres will be gone off long before yours.
  6. The results I get are % different 1 756 0 2 720 -4.761904762 3 756 0 4 756 0 5 780 3.174603175 6 756 0 Average 754 % different 1 224 5.33 2 212 -0.31 3 206 -3.13 4 208 -2.19 5 220 3.45 6 206 -3.13 Average 212.67 So probably best to think twice about using them. 700cc injestors are meant for some decent power so if they are working fairly hard then the probability of failure is increased.
  7. OK from what I can gather it is KG1 Jet Silver Metallic And from the FAST info and VIN it is number 9085 built may 1990. In pic 2 there is some detail regarding numbers 9002-9411. Pic 3 tells us what the ZG stands for but buggered if I can read it.
  8. Nissan FAST part search shows 43210-35F01 It is an NSK part so try a bearing place. You should be able to read the NSK part number off it.
  9. Will do as I'll need a tune when the goodies turn up
  10. Dammit, this doesn't help!!!! Whay are you trying to make me track tteh GTR? I promised my wife I wouldn't.
  11. Targa it is then. Excellent. What about the Garrett GTSS spec turbos? Look the same as stock and 320awkw. Not called Targa cheaters for nothing.....
  12. Kv I have one but was looking for a little bit more. Black, 94, auto, skirts and rear pods, choice of stock or GTR copy wing, dezz's super sweet old exhaust so not too loud being 3" from the turbo back, not much by way of mods done as the wife drives it often, recently had paintwork fixed up due to a tap in the right rear in traffic, stock polished wheels or for a bit more R34GTt wheels and the coolest brake paintjob in Melbourne . Let me know if you are interested.
  13. So do you want your stock turbos back for the "new direction" mate? Discovered it wasn't them at all but a machine shop not fitting the pistons to spec so the rings failed. Plus I have other turbos to use now. Anyway I hope the sale goes off before Xmas so you can buy new goodies.
  14. All the best mate. Have a really happy birthday.
  15. You do realise these are 11cm wider than the GTS25t ones so some serious cutting and blending needs to be done for GTSt? I bought one for just that purpose but instead I'm keeping it for the GTR as a spare. I do have a full fiberglass GTR bar if you are interested.
  16. I bought half a litre of Midnight 1 and it only cost $90.....in 2 Pac. Plus there is the hardener, thinners and clear coat.
  17. Hanyou, what you will possibly need are the Head to manifold gaskets (the 2 top ones) the manifold to turbo (not pictured) and the exhaust housiing to dump (not pictured). You can also get the dump to engine pipe but I use super copper gasket goo. Go to GCG. I once bought all that lot from Nissan for $400.....
  18. Oh well, when you spend your whole life being the spastic ugly smashmouthed spoilt kid you tend to act out. There was some great racing before but the entire season has now been ruined by the petulant and underhanded tactics of Tander and Kelly. R. (doesn't Rick usually become "Dick"???) I had respect for Tander once, but no more. It's a pity we never got to see if Kelly actually had Lowndes pace in the final race but as it stood he was clearly in no chance of winning without some other "intervention". At the end of the day he will neither be as popular, talented or as gracious a champion as Lowndes has been. I remain disgusted by the V8 Super circus.
  19. Take a look in the tutorials to find how to enter general and HICAS diagnostics. Such a gradual loss of function is usually a dosdgy connection.
  20. I'd suggest big end bearing. Drop the oil and look for sparkles which will be the bearing coming apart.
  21. Nice one Mick. They are pretty damn good at the rotary stuff but that flows on to other cars as well. I'll be taking both the GTR when Aaron sends my huffers out and the track beast for tunes once work is done. They love a chat as well which is great too. So other than the Sliding turbo what else is on the car? That was good power from the hiflow (I read the other thread) so I could almost dump the idea of the TT's on the trackie. I'd only be making a bit more power.
  22. Why would you be responsible Paul? Each time one of us increases power etc we are responsible to ourselves for the flow down effects. Dodgy workshop work notwithstanding. Are those of us who recommended to others to come to the race track responsible if they have an accident? All we can do is provide sufficient info for others to make an educated decision, rather than keep it to ourselves.
  23. I have a complete GTR fibreglass replacement bar with lip that I want to move on. No grill with it though. Let me know if this interests you.
  24. Ultimately it all comes down to personal likes and dislikes. What Darren, Gary and Adam have stated is all too true from an individuals perspective. Unlike most others I have both manual and auto R33's, in fact the whole turbo collection and if I wasn't pouring money down the drain on big turbos for the GTR and twin turbo/GTR throttle setups for the GTS25t I just know I'd be putting the PFC in the auto for some fun and experimentation. In the world of Engineering and Science all things that are known remain true....until someone comes along with a different answer and then proves it. So to that end I say to Darren, start an alternative FAQ with your experiences detailing what you have done including how your car is tuned and how you drive your car to with the changes, because if you have done it then it is a known truth and an alternative for the auto owners. Gary offers some insight into what can go wrong, but you offer what can go right and with performance modifications you have to be willing to accept a serving of each before you are done, as well as make some allowances for the changes if you have any mechanical sympathy whatsoever. Personally I find the 25t auto just damn annoying in that it seems too sluggish for what is really suppposed to be a sports car. The Soarer V8 is more responsive and shifts better so if I were intending to keep the auto I'd be doing something, but 350GT CVT8 is calling. I'll be looking forward to the new FAQ.
