Fair enuff. Jack has them so thought you'd be in too. Still contemplating a set for the RB25 and keeping the stock (GTR) look is appealing.

Your HICAS bar is for all R32/180SX/Silvia/Cefiro and not R33 (which is the same as R34). R32/33 diffs are the same but won't fit GTSt due to the splines. I'll offer $500 for the diff only, pickup.

Ash, come clean. They are the RacePace specials AKA Garrett Targa cheater turbs right?

Bad luck Mona. Will be interested to know if it's oil or fuel related. Hows the oil in the sump look? Lots of golden flecks? May have just been a rod let go too. How does that look on the gudgeon (piston) end where it snapped off?Looks beaten on the lower part of the rod. My advice for a daily driver though is RB25 with the right work and the right turbo. 26 is too lazy low in the revs and if you have a grabby clutch you will get some spin trying to get the thing going in the wet with RWD. All the best on the new one and please post whatever you want in my thread below.

Well done mate. Aside from the dramas there is a happy ending and you should score some decent equity with the completion of the reno.

I've done some research on this seminar, plus the others Claude runs. Unless you really want to do some serious study before, are really interested in data acquisition and are confident you can interpret the information with some real objectives in mind then it may not be for you. It is a really full on presentation, and you may not actually get through all the subject matter as JE from autospeed found. My desired outcomes were based upon a large acquisition of MoTeC gear for mil vehicles we developed, to get the most out of our VMS and a perceived future as a race engineer post retirement from the service. Unfortunately my injuries put paid to both or work would have paid for this and a higher level course. Sure you will probably get to name drop a few from the supertaxi paddock but that may be about all. Remember to make use of this you will have to spend a serious amount on datalogging hardware and software and then be prepared to put the time into absorbing the "take" and then make some useful adjustments...... All the best if you do decide to go.

Differences Between A R33 Gtr And Gtst Turbo
GTRgeoff replied to DLNQNT's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
GTR's have 2 same sized turbos that are smaller than the RB25 turbo. The GTR flanges are also smaller than RB25 so without adaptors simply will not fit. I think the Rb25 has T3/T4 flanges and the RB26 is T28, and hope someone clarifies (I don't waste time memorizing such useless info). -
Qld = modding nirvana compared to the money hungry southern states.

Do a timing check first, then write it down. Remove the crank angle sensor, then the old cover. Install new cover, then CAS and re-time. Bolts can be sourced from most hardware or engineering suppliers if you don't have them. Just take it in and select as needed.

Impressive. No nothing else to say.

There is also Warwick, and Lakeside may reopen after I'm elected Mayor of Pine Rivers Council.......... You are just scared of liking it too much!!!

Circlip Height Adjustment
GTRgeoff replied to neil_se's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
The circlip is locked in place by the taper in the platform so should not break. Anything is possible to break but I'd suggest this would be close to impossible. Companies have to base safety and reputation on it. If you were a bit clever you could do it on the car as well by just compressing the springs, lifting the plate and relocating the circlip but once all is set you just leave it be. -
Adjustable Ride Height
GTRgeoff replied to (OO_The4door_OO)'s topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Look out, he's been to Dick Smith and is using the Tamiya 600:1 plastic gearbox Seriously mate, good luck but some of us have some experience and we're not exactly overly enthused. 138 looks by members and 5 responses. Actually read what has been put up. It's not just knocks but some leading questions so some might apply some intellect to give some real ideas and feedback. Have you already completed a patent search to ensure you aren't going to waste money on the application? Try one of the companies that specialise in such business, they may also help with funding searches as well as advise the right government authority for a small business/development grant. I'll slink back to engineering management of the country's largest spender and all our low tech tanks/weapons/guided missiles. I note our suspension expert has not re-entered the discussion so probably also decided to ignore the whole bad idea. -
Darra, mate that's right next door to the outlaws where I'll be staying in a couple of months (Oxley), until I get a place to start work on. Dammit, once I show you Brisbane you will not be wanting to move back to Melb or Syddley for a long time. Think Forest Lakes or something like that. Around the Wacol development, or maybe I can quickly buy something, throw the hall runner near the garage down you are so fond of sleeping on and pocket the cash after giving you a bogus receipt to split the "rent"

You wanker!! See my pic over there <------ Burnt a huge hole in the bar and melted the tail light. I can laugh about it, it was at the race track so the fire car was right on me to put it out, plus I carry extinguishers. Any time I drive it home from the track is a successful day out. Can you afford to lose your car?? Are you prepared for a jail term if you injure someone?? I recommend BAN and refuse entry to SAUVic . Rice forums are that way tool --->

Sounds like the AAC valve. Gotta do mine in the auto soon as well. There is also a thread on making sure your idle is set right as well. BTW, nothing wrong with an auto around town, but then it's nice to have one of everything to suit my mood.......

R32 Gtr Head Complete
GTRgeoff replied to fatz's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I'll keep thinking about it after he doesn't turn up Pete -
So Thai dinners will become the new Chilli nights by the looks. Just love their style of cooking. Even did the cooking class while on my last trip there. Damn I'm looking forward to getting back to Brisbane. Traffic won't be a problem though as we'll do reno's while we live in the the houses Also going to do some auto engineering (depending on the Transport authority BS associated, especially insurance) and teach SCUBA

How Do You Zero The Hicas For W/a
GTRgeoff replied to ellie's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
you can enter diagnostic mode to make sure it all works, but otherwise HICAS is either a. self centering, or b. stuffed It's available with a search. Should be centred when you drive on the alignment machine.
