  1. Yep, pull that knob off and will be revealed. I'm all finsished and reinstalled. Photos tomorrow
  2. So to get the temp dial out, do you just pull it off? I'm having trouble getting the air con bits apart, and I think there must be a screw of something behind there......
  3. I'm doing mine at the moment. The paint color of bang on, and most of the dash comes apart without too much trouble. I haven't gotten to the climate control yet, as this will be a bit more difficult. That will be for session number two! Taking the paint off was quite easy, but for anyone about to try this, get multiple scourers. Whatever paint comes off the plastic is simply transferred to the scourers, doesn't really dissolve as such.
  4. Yay for crashes and the ensueing mods that we get to do that we wouldn't otherwise do.... Time for an oil cooler too

  6. Hi Ppls, I was reading the latest Zoom magazine, and I read about a bronze selector bush being available, to upgrade over the standard nylon one.... Does anyone know where we could get this? Cheers Pete
  7. I've got a big thermo for sale from when I went back to the standard engine fan. I had trouble with keeping her cool on hot days, and the temp would go from 80 when the car is moving at 40+kph, and rocket to 95 at standstill with the thermo fan busting it's ass. Just couldn't trust it to keep her cool enough.
  8. Hi Guys, I'm back from the dark dark land of crazy work life. OK, so last year as you may know, I changed jobs, and in doing so landed myself a huge amount more work, which is great and fun and stuff, but it also meant that in 9 months of last year, I travelled to Perth 3 or 4 time, Brisbane 3 times, Sydney twice, China once and New Zealand 4 times. Hence I didn't have must time to look after things like this. The start of the year will be less frantic for me, and I can therefore put some time into this. Bare with me a few days and I'll get the new list sorted, get the panels requoted and come back to you. Thanks for your Extreme Patience! BASS OUT
  9. For Roadworthy. I assume the R33 knobs are the same. In Melbourne if possible, or instate if you are willing to ship
  10. Jeez, It's bumpy in here....
  11. buy Mine instead....
  12. B1 Go visit your local TAFE. They run nights where you can use their machines for a very reasonable rate. When I was doing Engineering at TAFE 6 or 7 years ago, I did I night course in machine shop to speed up my learning, and there were guys making their own motor bike engines on the lathe, milling out crankshafts etc etc etc. Go talk to them, I'm sure you could find something .....
  13. I've had mine for 4+ years now and only ever been pulled over for a 'random' once, and that was around the time I bought it, and yes, it was too low, and yes I got a canary, and yes I fixed the height issue, and I've never been pulled over again. It's all about how you drive. PS. My car is for sale, so if you are keen on an R34 that has EVERYTHING, PM ME. BASS OUT
  14. Don't worry about your oil temps around the streets not getting hot enough quick enough. use good quality oil and that's all that's required. There are HEAPS of us getting around with oil coolers and no thermostats. The highest wear and tear time on an engine is at initial start us, for those first few seconds before oil pressure is 100%, and there's nothing a thermostat can do for that.
  15. Did I win?
  16. Hi all, I'm spewing I missed this but the world was conspiring against me. Initially I wasn't coming because of a big conference I had to attend in Hobart, but I didn't even make it to that, being taken to hospital on Thursday morning with an upper respiritory tract viral infection!! Nasty stuff. Anywho, looks like you all had fun, and I look forward to video and photos!!!! BASS OUT
  17. Ken Block. Pete's new hero.
  18. Hi Mate, Sure. $28,000. I'll throw the car in for free!! Sorry dude, not seperating the lights. Car goes as is. If I start seperating, I'll end up stripping the whole bloody car, and that is a nightmate. Cheers Pete
  19. No, Buy mine. Own the Legend.
  20. It'll be there for 3 months, then it's being dissassembled and re-built in Sydney. All parts of the build will be re-used. It's an exhibition of sustainable building, and steel framing is an integral part of it.
  21. Nah I wish. It's not actually my work, it's one of my customers who rolled it from onw of our machines. Pretty cool though!!
  22. Hey all, I'm a bit excited at the moment. I've just returned from Federation Square where an installtion is almost complete. And the best thing it, it's an installation that is a BAR! Little Creatures Bar no less. It's an enviromental exhibition using all recycled, reuseable or reused products and features our steel framing extensivly. The steel framing is all the blue stuff on the inside and outside of the building. So go there, check it out and see the product that my machine makes!! www.greenhousebyjoost.com www.framecad.com Oh, and if you see me there, you should buy me a beer. Cheers BASS OUT
  23. My beast is in fact for sale..... Own the Legend.
