  1. Max 4 min test on a dyno designed to simulate various load conditions (eg normal driving). Will stop earlier if it has clearly passed/failed the test, otherwise will continue for the full 240 seconds (hence the name). The full 240 second test simulates driving over a 3.1 km course with an average speed of 47.3 km/h and a maximum speed of 91.2 km/h.
  2. Guilt-Toy who's your consulting engineer?
  3. I haven't seen an evidence provider come up with a R32 sedan package yet, but that's not to say that a RAWS might have gotten it along. You're just going to have to call all of them and see who can. If you find one, post up here. Best of luck!
  4. i have an indicator
  5. please pm workshop name thanks
  6. Thanks heaps for that!
  7. I was using the 227mm D51, as per your link.
  8. Topaz I had/have a D51R and it fits perfectly within an R33 boot / R32 engine bay. No issues at all with clearance or modification required to fit. The D51 series is currently unavailable in Australia however, it was pulled some time ago.
  9. SSPI (Chris) first port of call, or try VersionOne Autoimports (Sergey) in Alexandria
  10. Trying to replace the rear lower trim in an R32 (the one pictured below). Ran into a problem when fitting the new one, can't find a way to run the seat belt through the square hole at the top of the trim. This isn't an issue when removing the old trim, as I just cut a hole in the panel to pull it out. But can't seem to find a way to run the seatbelt through the new trim piece. The end of the seatbelt which is exposed is looped around the slide bar and doesn't look like it will fit through the hole, and I don't want to disassemble the restractor. Any ideas?

  13. Hmm not sure where you'd be able to find something like this here, but something like this should suffice: http://panasonic.com.sg/web/pid/1012/ 8.6kg wet weight
  14. OEM battery would have been less than 360CCA, more like ~200CCA. If cost is an issue, look at something like an AC Delco. Got a 410CCA one for $90, as small as the OEM ones in the R33s (<12kg too). Download their catalogue and you can look for an appropriate size / terminal configuration for your car.
  15. - Stamp duty (3% of the market value up to $45,000) - Blue slip ($48.70) - Green slip (Compulsory CTP, around $300-500) - Vehicle rego cost ($261) - Number plate issue fee (depends) http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/rego_new.html
  16. PM's sent to all those who enquired. Sorry for the slow replies. Anyone who i missed or who is still intersted please drop me a PM.
  17. http://www.dotars.gov.au/transport/safety/...rting.aspx#5.02 Yep pretty much as you said for NSW. Allow around $1200 for the work (side instrusion bars, engineering cert etc). In terms of importing, buy car, apply to DOTARS for import approval, when that comes through ship the car, standard procedures after that. I can recommend SSPI in Kirrawee 02 9542 4280 or others have used Grey Imports in Annandale for the work. Give them a call they can give you a bit more details re:cost, etc.
  18. 400kw easily. Leewah used 2x 979s in his setup, and he had significantly more.

  21. Going to bleed the ATTESA system (33 GTR), flushing it with new fluid, and the remainder will be used to replace the transfer case fluid. Do they need to be done in a specific order? Just want to make sure it's all good and I don't introduce any more air into the system because I messed up. Thanks! //edit: All sorted now.

  23. lol I think he wanted to know why that was a restriction Baron. For a vehicle like the Cube to be considered for addition to the SEVS register (the list of the cars that could possibly be imported under SEVS), it must satisfy at least two of the following criteria: Appearance, Unusual Design Features, Performance, and Featured in specialist motoring magazines in factory condition.. Under the performance category, one of the requirements is a power to weight ratio greater 105 kw/tonne. What J-Spec and Baron are trying to get at is that it could be featured in a magazine, but it would most likely not meet the appearance or unusual design features tests and hence be ineligible.
  24. See here: http://www.dotars.gov.au/transport/safety/...rting.aspx#5.06 Must own the vehicle for 12 months, be an Aussie citizen / PR or applied to become one, and have relevant car documentation as per the link. The work required when the car gets here depends on the state, as there are different requirements. Basically though the car needs to meet ADR requirements (usually satisfied through an engineering certificate &/or inspection by the registration authority). What you save over the normal SEVS scheme is the cost, and your car can be modified (provided you can meet the requirements in the para above).
