  2. Heres a dyno graph of my RB20.... drop in boost was caused by faulty new BOV(grrrrr) but after removal the tuner called me and said it made around 260 on constant 18psi ill update the results thread once i get the new graph turbo is a td06 20g not sure about exhaust housing but most likely 10cm also got all the usual supporting mods let me know what ya think any opinions are good cheers
  3. Because someone has to import it at some point in time, provided you do the homework like Sambo said, it's generally going to be okay. I still think it's competitive cost-wise to import over buying an already-imported car.
  4. I love misinformation I have never deleted threads on SAU because of sponsorship/financial status. Anything posted on SAU is the responsibility of the owner (Prank) who has created the SAU Guidelines and made it clear that he doesn't tolerate negative comments directed towards businesses.
  5. There is a grommet about half way up your door if you look really closely. You can run them through there. Alternative is to run the wires through the main door plug (which the standard speaker wires go through). You can pull off the caps and use a coat hanger to pull them through. Search the forums for more results, but here's on. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=123206

  7. Closed because it's asked all the time. Please search!
  8. Alpine CDA 9857 with ipod cable is what I am getting. Has better ipod search than the 56. Also is just under $500 from ebay. Although dan had an interstin idea.
  9. i use oilade bought it off a little one legged robot
  10. yea rb20 rulz i have a rb20 with a td06 which has been off the road for a while for other reasons.... its getting tuned at the momennt and managed close to 260rwkw's on 20psi this was before the fuel reg decided to start jamming... so once thats fixed i will post up the dyno sheet hopefully my car will be back on the road in around 4 weeks... im in nsw as well so you can come for a ride and see for yourself what its like when i was driving on 10 psi and about 185rwkw it was extremely fun to drive and i wouldnt say to laggy. I think a lot of people over exaggerate the laggyness of the rb20s....
  11. i always see that car around parra and penrith

  14. Decided to create a consolidated thread for everyone to voice their opinions and ideas here. From now on any one posting about opinions on the following items will have their threads merged into this one: - what headunit to buy - what speakers to get - alarms etc Any other questions (eg problems, technical advice) will remain as they are. Cheers, Vijay
  15. Tre your comments about Prestige are starting to tire me. Why must you jump into every thread where Prestige is named? Fair enough you may have had a bad experience with Geoff but there is no need to force your opinion on everyone each time his business is mentioned. Each method has it's own merits, and what may be good for someone may not be for another. Please keep that in mind. Just in case you didn't understand, let me point you to the Board Rules. Read them again and keep them in mind prior to posting. You've had previous warningsa lready.
  16. Comes about 50% of the time. I can see IE trying to access something from http://196.regvista.com through the IFRAME and so I just hit stop and reload. Usually on the second or third attempt the page loads without the trojan.
  17. Niddrie Nameplates is the sole supplier for DOTARS' import plates and adhesive labels. Accordingly, if they are flat out there may be delays - I experienced a three week wait for my plate in 2003, as it was around Christmas. So it could be a fair delay. fullo I don't quite follow what you meant in your last paragraph when you said that "they are not RAWS" ??
  18. Randy it was US$120.00 for a bulk pack before shipping.. well actually it may have been cheaper than local, depends on shipping..until he actually posts a bit more (than once) the link stays off. I believe the local distributor for Dynamat is http://www.audioxtra.com.au
  19. Yes you should sound deaden your car it makes a big difference. - Shipping back to Australia will be expensive as it is quite heavy - The prices are okay but once you include shipping I reckon you'd be better off buying locally. You'd get it a lot quicker also. //edit: I removed the site link, but found cheaper prices anyway from at least three or four Australian retailers after one search in Google.
  20. You just need to look at the trader section on NS to see that the market is cutthroat. And it's not just ppl who are importing brand name parts locally. I mean look at what Just Jap are doing now. It basically sounds like you're trying to do what they are, about a year too late. I agree with Richard, find a small market and tap into that. I wouldn't call catering for Skylines, Silvias and rotaries a 'niche' market
  21. So what's the difference between them tailgating you, and you brake-checking them? None really. They're both instances of aggressive driving. I don't really understand why you are gonna be reporting them to the cops everytime you see them, based on one incident..but each to their own.
  22. They're long gone. Closed down few months ago, all items onsite were auctioned off.
  23. Okay for everyone interested this is the VICROADS link to the changes. - The new learner requirements will apply from July 2007. - The new high powered vehicle restriction for P drivers will start in July 2007. - The new P1/P2 probationary driver requirements and a new driving test will apply from July 2008.
  24. Intermittent wiper speed adjustment.
  25. http://www.datadot.com.au Retail cost is approx $700 per vehicle.
