  2. You'll need a frequency/band expander to compensate.
  3. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Japanese-Tochigi-Ol...1QQcmdZViewItem Current price is like $50 posted Others have sold on eBay for like $100 tops.. $600 is well, errm, bit much I reckon lol

  5. Yeah figured as such.. guess I'll wait and see when it gets here. Thanks.
  6. mm/Hg = millimeters of Mercury. Skyline one reads per 100mm of mercury 1 bar (~14psi) of atmospheric pressure = 760 mm/Hg (which corresponds to +7 on the gauge). Halfway between the 0 and 7 approx = 7psi = stock boost on an R33 GTST. When negative, it's in vacuum. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=87750 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=93382 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=93890
  7. Hey ppls, Mate's car (coming ex-Japan) has an S-AFC installed. That's the version with the blue screen, six buttons. The S-AFC II has the rotating knob instead of the buttons, and offers slightly more capability (more tuning points, knock reading, etc). Without having a look-see at how it's wired up, is it possible to just unplug the S-AFC and replace it with a S-AFC II?? Or are the harnesses different in the newer one?? Thanks..
  8. Even if it is won't be enough for insurance.
  9. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=85893 You = about to waste $35 Advice = don't buy it Lesson = decent, SAFE performance gains are not that cheap. Search forums for real solutions that offer increases, not a 'magical' device.
  10. Let us know what happens. Because from what I read you've said two different things. Your customs agent would have given AQIS directions as to whom was going to clean it. If he said it was going to Hobbs for cleaning, then AAT wouldn't have cleaned it. If no-one's cleaned it, then you've failed to get it re-inspected and like Jade said you're potentially in a precarious position. Oh well, hoping it's all good!
  11. http://www.dotars.gov.au/transreg/vsb/vsb_10.aspx#5.02 VSB 10 - read the section on vehicles built before 1989. You can do the majority of the paperwork yourself. Purchase the car, apply to DOTARS for an import approval (plus $50 application fee). Once you get import approval back, get the car shipped to a port near you. Contact a 'customs agent' to handle the Customs / Quarantine / shipping paperwork for you. The car is cleared from the docks, you get it transported to a workshop who performs the necessary work for registration. Allow approx $1500 for these costs (side intrusion bars, etc). Check with your state transport authority to see which workshops you can use to provide this work. Then standard registration procedures. No SEVS stuff is required. As for costs, search around this part of the forum. Been discussed plenty of times.
  12. You've given them just over three days - of which two of them are a weekend. I hope you do realise that they do have lives too and not attached to SAU 24/7. Nick (Blitz) is the one to get hold of for trader status, you've let him know and I suggest you just wait and not be so impatient.
  13. J-Spec Powerplay Imports etc Grab a copy of High Performance Imports in your newsagent and flick through the ads. A number of importers advertise in these, and similar mags.
  14. http://www.news.com.au/story/0,10117,18509810-29277,00.html Does anyone have any more info on this? Saw it briefly on the news didnt have much info. not good that two people died. Hopefully the kid is okay.
  15. Dude there's like a eleventy-thousand page nengun thread around here somewhere he's all legit.
  16. HKS have some nutter exhausts.. my brother has an old Hi-Power (?) one on his 32 that is 3.5" straight through to a 6" cannon. These days their Titanium Racing Muffler uses 102mm diameter piping
  17. Mate contact cleaner is fine. I've used that one from Jaycar plenty of times with no side effects. Just spray from a distance of about 15cm, in the direction that air flows through the AFM (ie not against it) and you'll be fine.
  18. It is your responsibility to satisfy yourself that the person you are dealing with is legitimate. If there's evidence the person is ripping people off then the user will get banned, simple. But mods and admins are not here to intervene in disputes between parties.
  19. Hey guys, Quick question. Not relating to a Skyline but just a general question for anyone who's familiar with the process. Do Xenon lights have similar harnesses to the regular halogen lights - is it possible to remove the entire headlight assembly and replace it with a halogen one (rather than hacking up the xenon lights). And is it a plug and play process or is there some soldering required? Thanks..
  20. Pretty sure I have the same card as Jimbo, down to the bevelled edges. Mine is made by Indala (has their logo on it also)
  21. Not legal. If you want 'fatter' wheels get the correct offset
  22. For lunch: - Small arcade with asian food shops and good food @ 303 Pitt St - Under GPO there's some decent pasta places, one they do a ~$12 pasta and wine - The Sea King seafood takeaway under Mid City Centre, freshly cooked to order - Bowlers Club in York, Chinese
  23. I'm pretty sure it's a turbo timer with remote starting capabilities.
  24. What were the results in the R32 GTST aftermarket turbo?
