  1. R33 GTST, std fuel pressure regulator. Yeah I saw that thread (link here). Since I installed my 040 I haven't noticed it to be a loud pump, apart from it priming when starting the car. But, yeah, haven't noticed the car having issues in the heat before. Just found it puzzling..
  2. Hey, My car's been out in the sun all day today (40+ degrees) and it's not starting now - Battery voltage was fine - Car has been running good recently - Fluids all okay - Enough fuel I managed to get the car running briefly, but it sounded rough, wouldn't hold idle and eventually stalled. The car is cranking fine, just can't get it to turn over. I have an 040 that hasn't given me any problems before, but I suspect there's something with the hot day and the fuelling. Any ideas? Thanks
  3. Why is this in the imports section? Moved.
  4. haha... KK isn't usually too bad for police. And as Ben said, Aquagolf makes for a nice waste of time. Anyway, if ppl are down for a Penrith trip, I'm there. Otherwise maybe we can do it another time..
  5. Also depends where you are..with FULL NCB, 23, full licence I was quoted approx $3k for NA R33 in Sydney.. and at the time a GTST was only $500 more. Call your current insurer and find out how much NCB you have. Otherwise a potential insurer will give you an indication of your NCB with your driving history.
  6. KK run!
  7. Sorted. Spoke with Stuckeys in Vic (being the Dunlop Motorsport dealer down there) and they confirmed that the DZ101s and Sport Maxxs are two separate product lines. Furthermore, the Direzzas are available in a 235/45ZR17 size, just apparently not to most standard Dunlop retailers.
  8. I got a can of caliper paint and brake cleaner for xmas, so I'm keen. Prefer weekend and somewhere near Penrith haha
  9. Ben did your MOVEIT plates make it onto your GTR? There's quite a few black 32s running around Penriff these days..
  10. Like any exhaust, how loud it is depends on your tune. A PEII on my GTST with stock ECU was quieter than the stock exhaust (which was really weird), but once I threw on a PFC, raised the boost, it got a nice rumble to it. Doesn't drone though.
  11. Anyone used the new-ish Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tyres? I currently have a set of FM901s and was looking for some Direzza DZ101s which are the sucessor. However my local Dunlop dealer told me that the Sport Maxx are superceding the Direzzas . On comparison with the DZ101s they look to be better, with improved wet performance and braking characteristics. Just wanted to see if there are any views on them before I commi..hehe Thanks!
  12. 6x9s will fit if you make up a spacer. Just a matter of measuring clearances and adjusting to fit. I'd probably run 6.5" all around, but if you are not going to be running a sub down the track, then some 6x9s would add some bass to your system. Check out this link from FHRX Studios for some discussion about 6x9s. That being said, my brother fitted some 6x9s in the front of his R32 (because we had them lying around), and a few weeks later junked them for a nice set of 6.5" coaxials.

  14. Probably would only extend to the tyres themselves, and nothing else.
  15. Why fake? Lawyers of SAU unite and stand up for Funkeh! In any case, pity they just didn't link the image. Could have changed it to something a bit more fitting
  16. Larger radiator I thought on the aussie ones too?
  17. Nice! Any chance of more pics, front on? I'd like to see how you held the subs in place..
  18. Nice one Shan.. That's going into my car audio stickeh..
  19. ..and so once again Blitz delivers another e-smackdown
  20. All the best mate..
  21. Thanks for that.. power opens up nicely up top with the split..
  22. Used for the past two years: Potenza GIII 255/40ZR17 Dunlop FM901 235/45ZR17 Rate both sets of tyres, the GIIIs are quite grippy and provide excellent traction in both wet and dry, whilst the FM901s are very predictable with good feedback. Does anyone know if the FM901 successors- Direzza DZ101 - are available in a similar size? I can't seem to find anyone who stocks them locally, and I'd love to try them out. Failing that I will be running Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 on the front. They've received good reviews (eg Motor magazine) and several friends have them and rate them quite well, incl on the track too.
  23. Depending on how much oil there is in your intake pipe you may wish to spray with your AFM still attached. Generally I just remove the AFM and clean it separately. You can always remove the intake piping and clean it off the car if you want. Run your finger around the inside of the AFM. If it's oily, then it could probably do with a clean too. I use CRC Contact Cleaner. Hold it about 15-20cm from the AFM, and spray in the direction that air passes through. May need to give it a few blasts if you have a lot of oil. Once it dries (about 30 sec) you should be able to run your finger inside and see that it is clean. You shouldn't see stuff fall out of it. Generally oil will just stick to the element and the inner plastic.
  24. Cable ties? But yeah, erm, I went to Bunnings and got some bolts. Later got some custom made from a bolt company..
  25. Approx 365mm on all corners... Yeah, my car sees a lot of highway driving, and I'm not sure when HICAS was centred last. - what does that involve?
