R33 Gts-t Series Ii With Gtr-front Lip
raz0r$harP.UK replied to anexiole's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
No, that lip is specific to series II GTSTs. Fibreglass copies are fairly easily found though. I know JustJap in Kirrawee, Sydney stocks them, but you should be able to find one a bit closer to you. -
Only on the Version R or Limited Edition (Yellow) GPX FTOs

Were Is The Air Temperature Sensor On R32
raz0r$harP.UK replied to Viper_r32's topic in Australian Capital Territory
34 GTRs have an air temp sensor mounted in the intercooler end tanks. As far as I'm aware that's the only model Skyline with one. -
Boost Control Through Power Fc Or Seperate Boost
raz0r$harP.UK replied to Trooper's topic in Australian Capital Territory
The PFC Boost Control Kit uses the same solenoid as the AVCR and is easy to operate from the controller. You don't get the nice blue screen like the AVCR but it means one less item to mount in your car. That was one of the factors that made me choose the Boost Control Kit. -

Well, I thought it might interest some.. Subie is out of the rallying game in Australia. Pretty big news I think.. Taken from Media Release, Subaru announces rallying withdrawal A significant chapter in Australian motor sport history has been brought to a close with the announcement that Subaru’s factory rally team, Subaru Rally Team Australia (SRTA), will withdraw from the sport at the end of this year. The announcement comes after the team secured its tenth consecutive Australian Rally Driver’s championship last weekend. SRTA has also won eight of the last 10 manufacturer’s championships, including the last six in a row. The team has also scored numerous class victories in both the World and Asia-Pacific Rally Championships. SRTA is undefeated in its quest for the Australian Rally Driver’s Championship. The late Possum Bourne won seven championships straight from 1996 to 2002 while Cody Crocker has won the last three (2003-05). Having closely scrutinized its involvement with rallying after ten successful years, Subaru Australia has made the following decisions: 1. Subaru Australia, through Subaru Rally Team Australia, will officially withdraw from the Australian Rally Championship with effect from December 31, 2005. 2. Subaru Australia’s sponsorships of the Rally of Canberra and the Subaru Safari Tasmania will cease at the end of their existing contracts. 3. Vehicle supplier arrangements with Rally Australia and other ARC events will cease at the end of existing agreements. 4. The Subaru Rally Challenge series will not continue past this year. "A decision of this magnitude is not taken lightly but earlier this year we conducted a wide-ranging review of our strategic direction and that included our commitment to rallying," said Subaru Managing Director, Nick Senior. "In 1996 we entered the sport, knowing that the next decade would see an increasing number of Subaru performance vehicles introduced into this market. "To establish our credentials as a performance brand and cement the link between the Subaru Impreza WRX and Subaru’s world rally program, rallying was the chosen motor sport. "Rallying was the preferred option as it was a pure form of motor sport where the best technology, the best crew, the best tyres and the best team won. "For ten successive years Subaru, Possum Bourne, Cody Crocker, Pirelli tyres and Possum Bourne Motor Sport have been the best combination. "In that sense we have achieved everything that we set out to. The brand is associated with motor sport success. The credentials of the Impreza WRX and Impreza WRX STI are beyond reproach. "However at the same time we must recognize our changing customer base. There is an increasing focus by our customers on the utilization of their Impreza WRXs, Impreza WRX STIs, Liberty GTs and Liberty 3.0R Spec-B models for tarmac events. And, as our volume continues to grow in Australia (selling approximately 35,000 this year compared to 8500 in 1996) we have an increasing number of customers with interests outside rallying. "Hence, our withdrawal from rallying will enable us to look at these areas. "Firstly, in 2006 we will explore some of the tarmac opportunities for Subaru, and Dean Herridge will be offered a contract to undertake this exploration. We feel that there is considerable opportunity for STI Australia to substantially grow their business by understanding and then responding to the growing interest in club and state racing, targa events and the like. STI Australia will become very road and track focused. We will also continue the preliminary discussions we have had with other pure importers on tarmac racing possibilities. "But the upshot of this is a changing of focus that will take events to our customers. "It should be specifically noted that Cody Crocker will not be lost to rallying in the short term. He is contracted to Subaru for another year but will be loaned to a strong privateer team to bid for a fourth consecutive championship. "Secondly, the withdrawal will also enable us to investigate other sponsorship opportunities outside motor sport for our growing customer base. "Against this background - a changing brand, changing customer needs and a range that incorporates more and more performance vehicles - we made the decision to withdraw. "We have had some great partners over the past ten years - Pirelli, Possum Bourne Motor Sport and Sportcom are decade long stakeholders in our success and we sincerely thank them. We hope that we can continue the association for years to come. "At times it has been an emotional roller-coaster. A decade of success is tempered by the fact that our original business partner and driver, Possum Bourne is no longer with us. "Possum was the driving force in more ways than one. He was an inspirational team leader, a seven-time champion but probably his greatest gift was his larger than life character and his love of the sport that encouraged many competitors and enthusiasts. SRTA has maintained and built on Possum's success, which we're sure he would be proud of. However, rallying overall has never really recovered from his loss. "I also sympathize with our current drivers - Cody and Dean, however we must put the interests of the brand and our customers first and foremost. "Cody’s performance this year to win the championship against heavily modified Group N (P) vehicles has been nothing short of sensational and he would have to be ranked amongst the top 15 drivers in the world at present. "While everyone involved with Subaru Rally Team Australia should be immensely proud of the results I would also like to believe that we have been extremely innovative in the sport. We led the way with real-time results available through the web, five-star corporate facilities, Subaru Rally Radio, Subaru Rally Challenge and sponsorship of events that enabled us to conduct the Subaru Festival." The final event for SRTA will be Telstra Rally Australia in Perth from 10-13 November.

Keep on waiting.. this thread is over a year old and the OP hasn't been on SAU for several months.. -
^^ Yeah I know that, but (as I only realised the other day), you are supposed to enter the A/F and O2 sensor parameters on the Auto Timer so it can properly estimate the A/F..otherwise you'll end up like mine where it constantly flashes '---' eg A/F can be 'set' between 10-and 20 and the 02 sensor voltage between 960 and 002 Would you mind taking a look on yours and telling me what it's set to? //edit: all I need is for you to is 1. While A/F selected, hold the knob to the right and tell me what it's set to 2. Hold knob to the left to cancel adjustment 3. Move down to display O2 sensor voltage, hold knob to right and get the setting for me. 4. Hold knob to the left to cancel adjustment It's straight from the AutoTimer instructions.. I'm just not sure what they should be set to on skylines.. Thanks!

El Bee - what are the 02 and V settings on your Auto Timer set to? On my current settings it never shows up a/f ratios.. I'm not sure what it's supposed to be set to.

So they were still drifting on Sunday in the wet? I was there Sat too, small turnout but fun nonetheless. Yeah JP spent more time on the track facing the wrong way than most, but some of the other cars were pretty good. //edit: Took about 30 min of footage, it's pretty unsteady as I didn't have a tripod, but if you want it monkeykplunk PM me.

http://www.dotars.gov.au/transreg/vsb/vsb_10.aspx#5.06 Link to DOTARS requirements for a Personal Import. Most immediately, need to have owned the car for 12 months with documented proof. Other applicable schemes are: - 15 year rule (car has to be made in 1990 or before) - SEVS (only certain cars and has to be brought back to stock).

040, no extra sound in my car. But yeh, 1/4 tank is kinda annoying - that's like an extra 100km I could go.

Ask around tyre shops for second hand ones..you might be able to get some with decent tread..

Tell me how it feels once you take your car for a spin..

? Did you see that link I sent in the other thread James? It should be a straight swap on a 33 (no pipes required). You got the cooler exactly as it was given to me.. //edit: Here's a pic showing the 33 cooler and the 34 cooler. The outlet pipes are identical in location so there isn't anything else needed once you remove the 33 cooler..

//and please just post once Jake. No need to ask in multiple forums when one will do.

Greddy Ultimate Better Then Apexi Power Fc?
raz0r$harP.UK replied to driftspec32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Paul said nothing wrong. It doesn't matter if it's the Emanage or the Emanage Ultimate, it makes no sense to piggyback anything on the PFC. Did the guy tell you what benefits there are in piggybacking it? The only feasible scenario where an Emanage would be possibly better than a PFC would be in an auto, so you still retain the shift logic in the std ECU. Yes the Ultimate has lots of new features but in the end, it is a correction-type device with only two base tuning maps. Take a look at this thread. Although it's based on the Emanage, the principles are essentially the same. At the end of the day you're looking at a standalone ECU solution vs a piggyback. -

El Dials Fitting Problems
raz0r$harP.UK replied to cordiapower's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Got same prob with the tacho on mine.. although I swear I can't see it catch on anything. Took it back to the shop who fitted it twice and they said it was a cluster problem. That being said, I read that someone else on SAU had the same prob and when they took off the EL dials it was fine.
