  1. Have you got insurance? Up to you but if he's saying it's nothing, I'd consider just getting insurance to sort it, just in case it gets messy. You're not in it to save HIM money.. Watch out, you don't want to get screwed over. I'd say get it checked out by an independent repairer (ie not his mate). If he's already claiming it's not much chances are his mate may say similar.
  2. No good mate, no good :
  3. ^^ That's the diagram I used when I installed a headunit into my 33 and it all matched up.
  4. PDF Link from Installdr.com to find the remote turn on wire - use the harness diagram for Nissans 1995 and beyond.
  5. Seriously no need to take the guards off it's a 5 min job at most to do them! And that was when I was being a baby and was afread I'd end up damaging my car somehow! You've got the clear sideys, look at them and you'll see where the clips are. Get a butter knife like choyda said, or something wide and thin. If you are concerned about damaging paint or clips then cover it with a thin piece of cloth. Run the knife around the edge and you'll feel where the clips are. Just a simple matter of levering it out, changing bulbs and putting the new ones on.
  6. com.au ain't working Pete..just .com took me like five goes to figure it out hahah
  7. Okay I'm closing this as what's needed to be said has been said. Today's lesson is 'do as much research on a car before making the decision to buy.' If it is from overseas, then there is a good chance it's on another broker's list so take a look around.
  8. I guess we'll find out in a few hours Richo..
  9. I beat you by 7 min Although yours were larger pics, mine came via email..
  10. Marty (FHRX) has a list of recommended equipment for a budget at his website www.fhrxstudios.com It's a pretty good start if you have no idea what to get.
  11. Trust33: what sort of mods are you getting Richard to engineer?
  12. There is no factory turbo, twin turbo, AWD configuration for the FTO. Still great cars nonetheless, handle great. MIVEC = the goods. They're quite cheap these days too.
  13. Anyone know what the required controller is to match with the AP Engineering PFC Pro for the RB20?
  14. 33 GTST front calipers take 296mm rotors 34 GTT front calipers use 310mm rotors 33 and 34 rear calipers have the same rotor size, 297mm (can check this all on DBA website) You'd probably do fine with a set of 33 calipers, upgraded pads, slotted rotors. Best bang for buck upgrade. /edit: corrected size for 33 calipers.
  15. I was back down there for a few days for work.. Wed arvo saw a silver 34 with plates DJH (or something like that) coming out of Jolimont, and a series II silver 33 yesterday out near RMC.
  16. Looking for an rb20det wiring loom in good condition. no dodgy wires or anything. am located in syd pm me if you have anything. cheers
  17. As I said before, the rails have to be approved too. No good having an ADR approved seats if the rails they're bolted to won't hold up in a crash, that would probably do as much damage as having a dud seat. I know JustJap's latest range of seats they're bringing in have undergone testing and have ADR approval. This was raised on a thread in NS, Steve initially showed the certificate then removed it for competition reasons. But he was willing to provide the ADR approval number on request.
  18. Wow you have the same sized boot as a Supra now I hope you have some serious sound deadening though..especially on the bootlid! So is there anything else in the boot?
  19. SMH article here. One of Sydney's most familiar sights - the thousands of new cars parked bumper-to-bumper at White Bay - will disappear in 2008. Shipments of imported cars will move from the Glebe Island and White Bay wharves to Port Kembla under a plan announced by the State Government today. Port Kembla?? I had so much fun driving my cars out of the docks down James Craig Road.. the day I picked up my car I sat outside Liquidity and just watched all the people who also were getting their cars out.. Also be heaps of extra costs getting a towie from Pt Kembla to your RAWS / workshop if needed.
  20. If you've owned it in NZ for two years it doesn't matter, you can apply to bring it over as a Personal Import. Read here for the requirements for getting a Personal Import Approval. Basically - Apply to DOTARS for import approval, providing all documentation - Receive import approval - Arrange for shipping to Australia. Ship car. - Arrange for quarantine and customs clearance just before car arrives (speak to a Customs Broker about the procedure) - Once car is cleared, you need to ensure it meets the state's registration requirements (ie make sure the car is roadworthy and no defects) - Register and you're off!
