  1. I love the 'flamin drift' lol.. The Sport Tonight segment was okay but that commentator was annoying me..hope we see more!
  2. hi sorry not suer if this has been answered.. thread soo long read the first few pages... do they sell the hose kits with the core? ie just the push lock hoses and fittings or braided lines and fittings? thanks
  3. Actually Evian if you read the thread it shows the full story. The Govt has proposed a change to the 15 year rule, but it has not been officially 'gazetted' yet (published). Until it is, the current rule continues to apply and you are still able to import cars under the 15 year rule.
  4. I'm tempted to agree with someonestolecc that the Car Audio forums is a bit small a tthe moment to be split up into subforums as there won't be much in some of them..for now anyway. But I have asked that the forum be renamed to cover car security as well. Vijay
  5. HKS34R: You'd have to check the GFB / turbosmart sites but I think they do sell adaptors for some other branded BOVs. Lithius: Correct about the adaptor. It's probably more correct to say that plumbback doesn't offer any performance loss, as that's what the factory one is. An atmo BOV is louder and may cause stalling at low rpm if you haven't tuned your car for it.
  6. Some related threads to EBay turbos: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=53228 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=51740 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=64492 Vijay.
  7. Evian can you please be specific what you're after? A compliance plate is usually riveted to the engine bay of the car and not something you need a 'holder' for. Any car coming into Australia needs one of sorts - under SEVS you get a plate, whilst under the 15 year rule a plate with the local VIN is affixed to the car. As wrxhoon said, there is one place in Sydney that now does R32 GTST SEVS compliance work. You'd need to contact them for a price.
  8. hahaha my bro reckons it sounds similar but it doesnt have the high pitched sound... i dont play it and havent heard the ssqv in person... but yea youd attach the flange to the hole then bolt the bov on
  9. first you should sell me your nice clean interior:P other than that as people have said exhaust, fmic, maybe bleed valve and boost guage also get an alarm with at least 3 point immobiliser....
  10. Oh yeah, yesterday morning I saw a lovely looking lady in black 33, with pink seat covers on Parra Road citybound. Plates were HOTTEE and she was too!
  11. Hi am trying to find out what sort of flange if any does the SSQV require to be welded on to thecooler piping? Does any knwo of a part no or where the flanges can be obtained if they are required and a price? Have done a search but couldnt seem to find anything Thanks All help appreciated
  12. Reply yeah thats exactly what I meant... umm ill have a look around asee for you... im not too sure where else would stock the flanges
  13. Fair call. I'm not an expert on them both, but my comments are based on experience with having both tuned in Australia (I have a PFC and my brother has an FConV). When I say 'ease of tuning' I meant that if you have a PFC there's over 15 places in Sydney alone you can get it tuned at. But with the HKS unit there's only a handful across the country. Also my view was tempered by the fairly poor tuning job done by one of the local HKS tuners. I'll acknowledge what you say about Japan the HKS ECU being so popular. From watching a few Video Option DVDs I've seen heaps more HKS F-Cons than Power FCs. From what I've read (and what you said) we seem to agree though Evo_Lee:D But like he says Danny - The F Con V Pro is the better unit, but your results are only going to be as good as your tuners capabilities. Vijay
  14. go to an autobarn that stocks blitz they have them there
  15. gor33: as soon as we get the numbers and everyone pays the deposit I can now confirm that I can get the HKS ssqv recirc adapter it is an additional $25 Partno :1421-FIT001 HKS34R I Pmed you... pm me bak to confirm thanks
  16. I actually heard that it's just the Jap owner (First Inc) going belly up, and that internationally Buddy Club is ok. I spoke with Jeff Ash at C-Red and he reckons that they make start taking orders again quite possibly as soon as a couple of months from now, but no official word. Vijay
  17. my bro imported his r33 for around 20k all up... came with (late 96 model) 64Km's on the clcok auction grade 4 and for people who dont think they can be genuine km's you can inspect his car... it is imaculate inside and out... even has sunroof so you can get cars with low kms from japan which havent been wound back you also have to remember jap ppl buy from the auctions to
  18. Hey Thanks for putting the pics up... it could either be take off the blue part or the they might just sell an adapter which slots into it similar to what hks do for the ssqv... haha i know what your saying about the rs becuase it probably is the best looking but welding is a lot of effort to go to for plumback i would just go for the type S
  19. This is great! I'm thinking of doing the same thing so thanks! Here's some more on the same idea: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=52508 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=52484 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...read.php?t=1482 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=53828 Vijay
  20. Same with my MD deck that my car had. I think it's just due to age and the amount of dust that would have built up inside.
  21. Yeah Buster's right about CRD. I think in terms of features FConV < PFC = FConVPro (or slightly better than) I'd take the PFC in terms of ease of tuning. FCon limits you to a select few tuners.
  22. Hey guys - I wasn't part of the group buy but me and some mates got some EL dials last year. My mate got them in his VY Commie and after a while they started to flicker on and off, he took them back to the shop and got it rewired. Now they are starting to peel slightly. Mine seem to be okay - but something has gone wrong with my tacho and boost gauge needles and they 'stick' at a certain point. Like the tacho sticks at about 5000rpm. From what I can see it doesn't look like there's a problem with the dials being flat, but it still happens. I've already taken it back to be fixed but I don't think that made a difference. It's a shame though because I love the look of them! Vijay
  23. yep can definitely get them
  24. im installing mine on my r32 gtst and its as simple as bolting it on because i have a diamond shaped flange on my piping ... if you dont have one youd need a weld on flange which it would just bolt up to ... but any mechanic could isntall it for u
  25. Hey sirsky if depends on if you want to go plumback or not otherwise i mean they are all pretty similar... just diff sizes for the greddy... also depends on the sound you want...
