  1. the loom has the colours most manufacturers use these days except for the speaker colour wires... so find a diagram on net... i cant remember which ones but mine was a pioneer and it was as easy as solder up the colours i had a diagram but cant find it
  2. The taxes you mention are not 'extra,' nor is Brent hiding behind them. If you asked Brent for an invoice of 'about ¥20,000' then it is YOU who are breaking the law, by asking him for a false invoice to avoid paying the required duties and taxes. Just remember that.
  3. http://www.nrma.com.au/pub/nrma/motor/car-...ar/alarms.shtml Here's a list of alarms recommended by the NRMA. I'm not sure which ones fit the requirements, but it's a list you could probably work from..
  4. My brother's 32 did not need side indicators. I spoke to Grey Imports and SSPI and both advised me they were not needed.
  5. Hi, Looking for a space saver (incl mounting bolt) and boot trim for my brother's R32 GTST. Willing to pay up to $70 for both. Please PM me! Vijay
  6. Black 32 gtst in Penrith High St around 2pm.. AQE??T What kind of BOV do you have? It sounded awesome!
  7. Hey all, Just wanted to say something about the Car Audio forum, as I'm now moderating this too. At the moment there's just the 33 headunit install as a sticky. If there are other things which people would like, just let me know. Apart from that, have fun! Cheers, Vijay
  8. It's not really 'compliance' as such - just making the engineering changes as required for your state, and getting an engineer to sign off that it's road legal. As long as you find someone who's aware of the changes and an engineer is should be ok. (but no, I don't know any in QLD - sorry!)
  9. Hey I started my car this morning and my radio and clock on the speedo dont work. They were both working fine and i have tested all the other electrics in the car which are working fine. So im guessing its a fuse which is blown. I looked at them all and the appear okay but i dont know which one is for the clock and the radio?? Could someone point my in the right direction. its a r32 gtst Thanks
  10. Get a Trust PEII exhaust from Autobarn for $899 Then spend the rest on a hiflow cat and dump pipe
  11. Okay I'll speak to him tomorrow and see what he says.
  12. The series II front bar (with the twin round indicators) was available in 1996 too. Not sure about the series 1.5
  13. Lucien I ended up with a few bubbles in my rear windscreen. I took it back to Robert, who tried to remove the bubbles, but after he saw that I wasn't happy, offered to redo it free for me. That was like 6 months ago and I still haven't got around to get it done (lazy I am), but I'm fine with it. He also tinted my Tarago and a mate's 33 in the group buy - both of those cars no problem. Well if people want I'm fine arranging a group buy? Who's up for it?
  14. Limited edition? Apart from the Series 1/Series 2 / Type M variants (which are pretty standard), there were some 1997 GTSTs with 40th Anniversary Skyline insignia, which included side badges, and trimming on the seats. Only other limited release 33 I can think of is the Active LSD GTST. Easy to spot as on the dash there are lights for 'traction' and 'slip' - or something like that. It has the same diff that is in the GTR VSpec. There's a few people who have these cars on the forums.
  15. PM SouthernR33 he's in Adelaide and is selling one. I'll let him know also.
  16. I got 38% all around, although if I could do it again I'd go slightly darker, perhaps mix it up a bit too - like 18% on the rear quarters, 28% on the rear windscreen and 38% on the side windows... I've seen a couple of auction pics of cars that had really dark rear quarter windows and they looked very nice..
  17. thats mad...i love it although the 33 back end is a bit chunky for the 34 slimline front
  18. I'm thinking that Shan was thinking along the lines that DOTARS won't penalise you (by refusing import approval for a car you've bought already). When they changed the 15 year rule from year of manufacture to month and year, initially DOTARS did not allow any exceptions. However they decided to amend that for people who had bought cars already in the few months surrounding the announcement of the new rule. However, another chain of thought has me seeing that since DOTARS have forewarned ppl they may not be able to get 1990 cars in, like RiverSide said.. I wish they'd make up their mind already!
  19. Hey, Thinking of heading down with my bro eventually to WSID for some quarter mile action. Anyway just wondering what's the go with helmets - what helmets are sufficient to meet minimum requirements? Also, is there anywhere you can rent one from? At the moment it's only going to be a one-off thing, I guess I'll see how we go.. Cheers..
  20. Grey 33 with some stickers all over (incl SAU) outside Glenbrook Pools right now.. AUP1__ .. who's driving around in my area?
  21. I've used Brent's services many times - and have nothing but praise for him. Same with Greenline too.
