  1. Hi all, I've got the Best Motoring GTR DVD for sale.. I just bought it last Thursday nite and I've decided it's not my style, but the store I got it from won't do an exchange as it's opened. Not even watched fully through, so it's in immaculate condition. Swap for another DVD, recent release in similar condition. Preferably a fairly recent Video Option, Hard Tuned Imports, etc.. /EDIT - If I have to sell it, I guess I'd be looking at the $30 mark, which would include postage to the buyer. I've still got the original receipt for $38.95. Anyway, please reply or PM me if interested. Thanks!
  2. Yep, if anyone saw the posts in the FI forum about the hybrid turbos I posted a few weeks ago it was from these guys. It looks like they do post their stuff on EBay too- I can't find the link at the moment but I'll post it when I do. I've been told that you'll need to modify the dump pipe slightly to bolt up to the turbo flanges. I sent them an email regarding lag on a RB25 and this was their response: "Our Stage 3 T3/T4 .50 .63 with our 40Mm racing W.G makes the turbo boost comes around 2700 - 3000 rpm mark. This setup @ 12 psi gives 200Hp gain at the wheel on RB25DET - turbocharger is set for early boost." The deal sounds OK, I've talked to them several times now - I'm just a bit skeptical about the lag claims at the moment..
  3. go for the 32 gtst if you are going for an 89 model there ae a few coming in with rb25det and big turbos which would fly... i got my r32 gtst through geoff and it looks killer and has power mods as well

  5. For all you guys concerned about B/L - when I brought in my brother's 32 a few months ago I did the paperwork myself. One of those documents I was trouble having to get from Geoff was the B/L. When my car arrived in the country I received an arrival notice from shipping line. This was sufficient to prove to the shipping line it was my car (along with ID and my initial purchase invoice), and after I paid them for the shipping they gave me the delivery order which was sufficient for customs, quarantine, the docks - if you have that it's essentially fulfils the need of the B/L. Just one thing though - the docks may not let you have the car unless the delivery order has a 'D Stamp' on it..which you get from the shipping line when you show them the customs release forms..the D Stamp isn't a requirement 100% of the time, as the guy at the wharves told me..

  7. hehe that's the one..I didn't know where the ad was from, my friend told me about it..anyway I don't know how to read a compressor map so I can't tell where it makes it's efficiency - can someone out there give me an idea on how good the turbo is?

  9. i bought off ebay and just got the top of the line sony xplod amp for my sub which cheapest ive seen in stores is like 800 and i got it for around 300 arrived perfect condition and brand new.... also got an alpine deck... wiring harnesses... capacitor... minimal trouble and saved heaps all high quality stuff
  10. Saw a nice lime green 32 coming out of Panthers around 2am Monday morning, and 1pm Monday a dark blue 32 (MIDN9T?) going up the M4 at Emu Plains.. heaps of others over the wknd as per usual these days..

  12. Hey recently took my r32 to in to get in dynoed and it turns out i have two different driveshafts. It is a ATS 1.5 way lsd apprrently with 31 spline driveshaft on one side its 3 bolt (silvia?) flange on the other its 5 bolt. Besides the point as I want a new diff as clunking doesnt go with cruising. Can anyone recommend a good diff for the R32 GTST. Ill be putting out about 250rwkw and i want to use the standard driveshafts. Will these just bolt in if i get a new diff and take out my freaks??
  13. Interesting..I'll be doing the same, but with a exh cam gear and a GTT intercooler.. I had 139.7kw with just a pod.. I've bought the cam gear some time ago so I'll just put it on and see what happens.
  14. foznice - Once customs clears your car, responsibility for the car lies with you. You can arrange yourself to have the car towed to a RAWS workshop, but they can usually get it for you (NB- DO NOT DRIVE IT!!) From my documentation you have 100 days from when the car arrives before it must be presented to a RAWS and plated.
  15. My TD06 20G LS2 (the more letters the better ) on my RB20DET os getting tuned up at the moment.So far its only been boosted upto 10 psi (waiting for EBC) but at this its putting out 185rwkw. Once I have EBC ill get it tuned up to 18ish psi and post the results.

  17. Hey I don't have an Active LSD 33 but going back to your original qu Moanie I'm pretty sure that the PowerFC doesn't support the Active LSD - hence the lights coming on when the PowerFC is installed..
  18. Are you sure SK? I had one installed in my 33 and no modification was required..maybe the 32 is different though.
  19. PHATR32 yep I wasn't allowed to go check on my car unless there's a Customs clearance - the ones I can think of are to either take car for cleaning or remove it from the docks once it's cleared.
  20. If it's the same as a 33 then there are no fitting issues - remove stock IC and replace with gtt one.
  21. nv033 the Power FC Pro Spec.CPU has the 0km/h rpm limiter setting and Ignition cut used for rpm limiter which may be suitable...

If you need to post something else please make a new thread..cheers guys! - In response to jetgts' questions about 15 year compliance centres: Pretty much anyone can do the changes I believe. It just needs to be engineer certified. - PHATR32 and what is needed for compliance: I do believe it varies from state to state depending on requirements, and also compliancer (I guess that's not the answer you wanted though!) As an example on my brother's 32 I didn't need to get side indicators, but others have. I was told also I needed the fuel restrictor.

Time taken to clear from the dock: My 1st car, thru a broker: 1 day (didn't need steam cleaning) 2nd car, cleared myself: 3 days (needed cleaning, arrived at the docks too late to remove it the 1st day, 2nd day removed it but had to wait until next day for cleaning and inspection) I had a Bride seat in one of them and it stayed with the car, wasn't stolen. If it's loose stuff I might be worried, like gauges or shift knobs - I had my importer wrap them up and hide them in the car.
  24. Hi, Come across a Hybrid Turbo for sale, just wanted to see what anyone thought of it. I checked out some of the previous posts on them. Hybrid T3/T4 550hp Wet Floating BB Turbo Compressor Wheel .57T Housing .5 A/R Turbine Housing .63 A/R Supposed to be a direct bolt on for RB25.. I've been offered one for under $1000 so it caught my eyes.
  25. hey im just putting a system in a 32 gtst.. Gonna be running an old pioneer deck (8600) to a sony amp Then 2 6x9s at the front (i would never run 6x9s at the front but i have them left over from my previous car) And then run a lightning audio sub through another sony amp. That set-up cost me about a grand not including cables or deck and I'm expecting it to be good quality sound. Like everyone's said: lots of amp power.
