  1. http://www.clarion.com/us/en/MungoBlobs/44...RX765VD-ENG.pdf Manual, page 21: "...will only play DVDs with the region number '1' or 'ALL'" CDs and Ipods should play fine. Weigh it up.
  2. The VRX765VD is designed to play Region 1 DVDs (Aussie ones are Region 4). So no it won't play them, and as far as I'm aware there is no way to unlock the VRX765VD. Hence one of the pitfalls of buying international. No local warranty support, some features may not here. How much are you paying for it by the way?
  3. Bikkies you might want to update your info before you post. FORS hasn't been around for years and aren't responsible for issuance of the import approval.
  4. There's a nice little thread about some issues with KIWI. I prefer to use Mitsui OSK.
  5. The RB20DE R34 is not eligible for import under SEVS. There may be a few floating around which were imported prior to 2003, but otherwise if you want a non-turbo R34 you'll have to get the RB25DE-based variants.
  6. Although there's a time limit on compliance, most RAWS require you to bring the vehicle once it's left the docks because if the car isn't being complied, that's one less plate available to them.
  7. According to the manual here they recommend that you should be using 10mm^2 cable (i.e. 8 gauge). If you are having trouble fitting the cables you'll need an adaptor / terminal of some sort.
  8. Personal preference really. More important that you run your cables correctly (i.e. separate power and speaker runs to avoid interference). Some brands I like include Streetwires, Stinger, Audison Connection, Aerpro.
  9. OK - if anyone is waiting on an outstanding order from Slide, please post in this thread. Anyone else who isn't involved, please refrain from making any comments. Thanks Vijay
  10. After Matt moved on to a different area Chris (GTRSOUL) was arranging some policies, but he hasn't been online for a couple of months.
  11. http://raws.dotars.gov.au/rawswebpublic/RAWPubSearch.asp Doesn't work until 1:30am, but when it does you just search for NISSAN, SKYLINE R33, QLD and it will list them all. Roughly $3k or so?
  12. Standard wedge bulb (ie like your parkers, side indicators).
  13. Autobarn? PM URAS he might be able to locate one.
  14. Short story - they make sure the car meets ADRs. Long story - things like adding an unleaded fuel filler restrictor, rear child safety restraints mounting points, new charcoal canister and catalytic converter (if required), new tyres, etc etc. In terms of steps, once done, you just follow VicRoads procedures for establishing new vehicle registration for an import: http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/Home/Regist...egistration.htm
  15. Handwritten numberplates with 'TRAFFIC'?? wtf are you all on about? You do not need handwritten number plates, nor do you need a letter of intent in NSW. http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/reg...registered.html You can drive via the most 'direct or convenient' route to get a blue slip. This includes driving to a weighbridge, driving to a CTP insurer's office, etc. Alternative is a UVP but generally just easier to go get your blue slip and then to finalise rego.
  16. ???? Once DOTARS has added a vehicle to the register, there is no restrictions on what and what can not be brought in so long as complies to these requirements. For the C34 Stagea, so long as it is either an RB25DET or RB26DETT engined variant, it will be allowed (subsequent to meeting SEVS accident, etc criteria).
  17. When you say doesn't come with a compliance plate I'm assuming it's been previously complied and registered in NSW as a 15 year import. Pretty straightforward, your normal Regency inspection applies, make sure it's not defectable. If you have the import / rego papers from the previous owner it would be a lot easier. http://www.transport.sa.gov.au/registratio...egistration.asp http://www.transport.sa.gov.au/registratio...inspections.asp
  18. Yeah I meant R32. Series 1 R32s were made from May 89 - August 91, and Series 2 from August 91 - August 93. One way to check is the colour of your dash, series 1 R32s have a blue dash, series 2 have a black dash (applies to GTST, not sure about GTR). Bulbs did not change in the R33 range (except in the series 3 GTRs which had xenons as previously indicated).
  19. Unless yours have been converted that's most likely incorrect. Series 1 R32: H3 (high) and H3C (low) Series 2 R32: H3 (high) and H1 (low)
  20. Don't know if this is helpful for you guys but the following are a couple of G35 links for replacing a double DIN headunit, and what Nissan parts you need. Also describes what you need to do so to retain aircon functionality. Probably if you want to swap out the screen with another one, like Chris mentioned? http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/mp3car-inf...finiti-g35.html http://g-owners.com/article_read.asp?id=33
  21. Keep the thread on topic. Jamie I hope it all goes well for you and Kiwi does well by you! Post up some Aristo pics in the picture thread for us...
  22. On the page I linked it's the 'SEARCH FOR A RAW' option you can use to find out who can comply a car, straight off DOTARS. Your link (RAWS Australia) is a non-govt source, so may not be up to date.
  23. Northshore Prestige are listed: http://raws.dotars.gov.au/rawswebpublic/RA...cipant_id=10161 I could have sworn there were more before... oh well.
